Nederland Police Reports - 25-03
The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office had 256 calls for service in Nederland for the month of March. The calls for service included 1 criminal mischief, 9 animal complaints, 2 alarms, 5 suspicious activity, 14 fire/medical assists, 2 harassments, 2 trespassing complaints, 6 welfare checks, 1 missing person, 1 narcotics violation, 1 child abuse, 1 disturbance, 1 burglary, and 2 domestic violences.
Included in the calls for service, deputies conducted approximately 195 traffic stops, responded to 6 assists and 3 property damage/injury accidents. Not including the accidents, deputies issued approximately 147 citations and 24 written warnings.
At the request of one of the Trustees, the attached graph will show Time of Calls for Service. It is broken down into the 24 hour clock. If a time is not present, it means there were no calls for service in that hour for this month.

Co-responder Assist
A co-responder assisted with a 51 year old male in receiving mental health resources. He was cooperative.
Protection Order Violation / Theft
A 46 year old male was caught on a motion-activated security camera entering and stealing property from a residence that he is restrained from. The male was arrested and transported to jail.
Forgery / Theft
A 46 year old male purchased 2 coffees with a fake $100 bill. The business didn’t want to press charges as long as the incident was corrected. A week later, the male paid back the money.
Littering
A 56 year old female was seen throwing piles of trash out on the hillside of Barker. She was contacted, she picked up the trash and was issued a summons.
Harassment
A male reported another male harassing him. There were text messages exchanged that did not rise to the level of a crime. One male has moved out and they were advised to stop communicating with each other.
DV / Sexual Assault
A mandatory reporter assisted their client in reporting a sexual assault that occurred in late 2024 by an ex boyfriend. A Deputy completed a lengthy interview that will be assigned to a Detective for additional follow up.
Dog at Large
A white American Bulldog was dropped off at the substation. Deputies were unable to locate the owner, so the dog was taken to the Boulder Humane Society.
Health and Human Services Assist
An investigation into a 17 year old male and 53 year old father having a dispute. More follow up on possible charges.
Domestic Dispute
A 30 year old female and 33 year old female got into a verbal argument. No cooperation from either party and a crime was not established. They agreed to separate.
Criminal Mischief
A property manager reported a broken window (value $300). Video surveillance captured a male that appeared to be bleeding from his hand that may have been involved. Further investigation to identify the male.
Reckless driving
A female driver was stopped for running multiple stop signs in the town, speeding and driving recklessly. She was issued a summons to appear in court.
