On 5/1/26, at approximately 2:09 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle making an illegal left-hand turn from the through lane on north bound Highway 119 onto Main Street. Officers conducted a traffic stop and issued the driver a warning for driving behavior. Officers cleared the scene.

On 5/1/26, at approximately 9:18 p.m., officers responded to Ameristar Casino's parking garage on report of a disturbance. Officers contacted the reporting parties, reviewed surveillance, and ultimately determined that no crimes had occurred. Officers cleared the scene after suggesting the reporting parties move their vehicle in order to separate from the other involved party.

On 5/1/26, at approximately 10:03 p.m., officers observed a vehicle driving carelessly at the 300 block of Main Street. The driver was contacted and given a warning.

On 5/1/26, at approximately 11:21 p.m., Black Hawk officers were at the Monarch Casino for a medical call. While officers were helping with the medical, security flagged down officers for a physical disturbance. During the investigation, the victim did not want to press charges and felt the altercation was potentially more of a joking manner, not a criminal one.

On 5/2/26, at approximately 12:53 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a call at the Monarch Casino. Before arrival to the call, officers stopped at the light at Miners Road and Main Street. While stopped at the light, officers observed a disturbance between a male and female party in a vehicle that was in front of them. Officers observed the male party throw a bunch of things out the passenger window while yelling at the female party, who was in the driver's seat. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at Highway 119 and mile marker 5.8. After the investigation, officers determined there was no crime, and it was only a verbal argument.

On 5/2/26, at approximately 1:53 a.m., an officer responded to the Wild Card Casino regarding a white, powdery substance in a small black bag being found on the casino gaming floor. The white powdery substance was later tested to be a presumptive positive for a controlled substance. A report was completed.

On 5/2/26, at approximately 1:56 a.m., officers responded to Ameristar Casino on report of a trespass. Officers contacted the involved party, issued a municipal summons, and cleared the scene.

On 5/2/26, at approximately 1:59 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a harassment incident at the Horseshoe Casino. Upon arrival, officers reviewed surveillance and spoke with the potential victim. The potential suspects were not on scene. After the investigation, officers were able to locate a suspect and contact him via phone. After talking to the suspect, officers determined that due to conflicting statements and the victim not wanting to press charges, this case was unfounded.

On 5/2/26, at approximately 2:58 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Monarch Hotel on the report of an active disturbance in a hotel room. After an investigation, a party was arrested.

On 5/2/26, at approximately 7:55 a.m., while on patrol of the Ameristar parking garage, officers were flagged down by an Ameristar employee requesting that we assist with contacting a suspicious person sitting in a vehicle which had been parked for nearly a month. The person was contacted, cleared through dispatch, and then instructed by hotel security to remove the vehicle from the premises.

On 5/2/26, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 from mile marker 6 with an expired temporary tag. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a Gilpin County Penalty assessment.

On 5/2/26, at approximately 10:53 p.m., officers observed a vehicle driving carelessly in the 8500 block of Highway 119, northbound. The driver was stopped and issued a citation.

On 5/3/26, at approximately 12:48 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for an active physical disturbance between a male and female party occurring in one of the elevators. Officers arrived and located the parties. After the investigation, officers determined that the physical altercation was intimate and playful.

On 5/3/26, at approximately 12:17 a.m., an officer responded to the Lodge Casino regarding a report of a found dog without a leash. The dog was placed in protective custody and later released to its owners.

On 5/3/26, at approximately 2:59 a.m., officers responded to Lodge Casino's parking lot on a report of damaged property. Officers contacted the reporting party, spoke with surveillance, and ultimately cleared the scene with a report pending further action.

On 5/3/26, at approximately 4:52 a.m., officers responded to Monarch Casino on report of a domestic disturbance. Officers contacted the involved parties, reviewed surveillance, and ultimately found probable cause to place a female party in custody.

On 5/3/26, at approximately 5:49 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar, regarding an assault that took place on the gaming floor. A suspect was later located, contacted, and identified, and was then issued a Gilpin County Summons for harassment. A report was completed.

On 5/3/26, at approximately 3:27 p.m., officers conducted a welfare check on a female sleeping in a vehicle. After confirming the female was in need of no assistance officers departed without further action.

On 5/3/26, at approximately 5:44 p.m., officers were dispatched to a citizen assist related to a male having issues 

with an ankle monitor near the Monarch Casino. Upon arrival, medical services were summoned and determined the male had no medical complaints and he would need to follow up with Adams County pre-sentence to adjust the ankle monitor.

On 5/3/26, at approximately 6:45 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle displaying expired registration near the Ameristar Casino. The driver was issued a warning.

On 5/3/26, at approximately 7:45 p.m., officers attempted to stop a reckless driver at the intersection of Highway 119 and Miners Road after receiving information from Colorado State Patrol. The driver fled contact and was last seen entering Gilpin County jurisdiction. A report was completed.

On 5/3/26, at approximately 8:13 p.m., officers responded to a cold criminal mischief call at the Wild Card Casino. The suspect was identified and the case remains open and active.

On 5/4/26, Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 for failing to maintain their lane and failing to use the signal. Upon contact, officers suspected DUI. After further investigation, the driver was cleared to operate the vehicle and released with a verbal warning for the initial violations.

On 5/4/26, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for a report of a disturbance. After further investigation, it was determined there was no disturbance.

On 5/4/26, at approximately 1:12 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a male being aggressive with staff. The reporting party declined to press charges, and the other party involved was released.

On 5/4/26, at approximately 2:04 p.m., officers observed a motorcycle with no visible registration at approximately mile marker 6 on Highway 119 and conducted a traffic stop. The driver provided registration and was released on a warning.

On 5/4/26, at approximately 2:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino, for reports of found drugs. A male party was issued a summons in relation to the found drugs.

On 5/4/26, at approximately 11:46 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 near Richman Street, for being unable to maintain lanes (weaving). The driver was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

On 5/5/26, at approximately 4:31 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino, in regard to a domestic disturbance in a hotel room. A male and female party were contacted. The female party was ultimately arrested and transported to Gilpin County Jail.

On 5/5/26, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Black Hawk Fire Department, Gilpin EMS, and Black Hawk Officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino for a party not conscious or breathing. After resuscitation efforts, the party was declared as deceased and an unattended death investigation was completed. No suspicious circumstances were noted.

On 5/5/26, at approximately 8:49 p.m., Black Hawk officers received a phone report regarding a complaint at the Lodge Casino. After further investigation, the call was determined to be a civil issue.

On 5/6/26, at approximately 3:42 a.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino, regarding a trespass into a vehicle with items that were taken out of the vehicle. A report was taken, a suspect has not been identified yet.

On 5/6/26, at approximately 6:03 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle blocking a lane of traffic at the 500 block of Main Street, continuing to drive without using turn signals, and weaving. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/6/26, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to lost property at Ameristar Casino The reporting party advised that they had lost a bag 5/4/26-5/5/26 inside the hotel. Officers are reviewing surveillance to attempt to locate the lost bag.

On 5/6/26, at approximately 8:49 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 from Miners Road not using turn signals as required. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/6/26, at approximately 9:31 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 from mile marker 6 with expired plates. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a Gilpin County Penalty Assessment.

On 5/6/26, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling in the 6000 block of northbound Highway 119 with a tinted license plate cover. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the Dakota Lot. A verbal warning was issued.

On 5/6/26, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound Highway 119 and Main Street with no rear lights on. Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at mile marker 5.8. A verbal warning was issued.

On 5/6/26, at approximately 10:26 p.m., an officer observed a motorcycle traveling south bound Highway 119 at mile marker 5.8 without a license plate. A traffic stop was conducted on level 1 of the Horseshoe parking garage. 

The driver was issued a summons and proof of service.

On 5/6/26, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound Highway 119 with a back right tail light out. Officers conducted a traffic stop at mile marker 5.3. Verbal warning was issued.

On 5/7/26, at approximately 2:46 a.m., officers responded to Lodge Casino on a report of damaged property. Officers contacted a suspect, reviewed surveillance, and ultimately cleared the scene after issuing a municipal summons.

On 5/7/26, at approximately 3 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a pedestrian contact on an individual screaming and waiving a walking cane at 301 Gregory Street The individual was not cited for excessive noise violation and did not need assistance. No further action was taken.

On 5/7/26, at approximately 11:04 a.m., the Black Hawk Police Department received a report of a motor vehicle trespass and stolen property after a traffic stop. Officers will be conducting an investigation and following up on all claims.

On 5/7/26, at approximately 8:26 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 from mile marker 6 without headlamps as required. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/7/26, at approximately 8:39 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle run a red light at the intersection of Main and Gregory Streets. The driver was contacted and issued a municipal penalty assessment.

On 5/7/26, at approximately 9:56 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 from Richman Street with no headlamps as required. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/7/26, at approximately 10:11 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at Chase Street for a vehicle that was driving on Highway 119 and Chase Street with no headlights. The driver was issued a summons for driving a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license on person and failed to present immediate insurance upon request.

On 5/8/26, at approximately 6:22 a.m., officers responded to a physical disturbance in the garage of the Monarch Casino. Upon arrival, officers located all subjects involved and arrested a female participant for domestic violence.

On 5/8/26, at approximately 1:45 p.m., officers self-dispatched to a Gilpin County warrant contact that turned into a medical call on the 500 block of Gregory Street. On scene, the officers provided cover, assisting in running the associated vehicle through dispatch to determine the owner. Additionally, a female associated with the subject was run through the CCIC/NCIC systems. The case was referred to the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office.

On 5/8/26, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to Ameristar Casino on a report of a cold sexual harassment. Officers interviewed the victim and identified the suspect, who was no longer on scene. Officers will take a report and forward this case to detectives.

On 5/8/26, at approximately 7:07 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle that was traveling south bound Highway 119 from mile marker 6 with expired plates. Officers conducted a traffic stop and the driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/8/26, at approximately 9:54 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 from mile marker 7 that was weaving continuously. Officers conducted a traffic stop in which the driver could not provide valid insurance. The driver was issued a Municipal Summons.

On 5/8/26, at approximately 10:09 p.m., officers responded to Bally's West Casino on a report of lost property. Officers contacted the reporting party, spoke with surveillance, and ultimately cleared the scene pending further action.

On 5/8/26, at approximately 11:37 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at the 100 block of Miners Road. Officers observed the driver going northbound on Gregory Street and proceeded to turn eastbound on Bobtail Road when the driver turned over the double yellow lines. The driver was also observed weaving over the double yellow lines on Miners Road. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/9/26, at approximately 1:46 a.m., officers responded to Ameristar Casino's gaming floor on a request from casino staff to verify a guest's ID. Officers contacted the guest and ultimately cleared the scene with no further action.

On 5/9/26, at approximately 1:55 a.m., officers observed a vehicle with no headlights failing to maintain lane. The driver was contacted and roadside maneuvers were conducted. The driver conducted them satisfactorily as a sober person would, the driver was issued a warning.

On 5/9/26, at approximately 4:43 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for trespassing. After the investigation, officers issued the suspect a summons for trespass.

On 5/9/26, at approximately 11:45 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Lodge Hotel, regarding a suspicious bag containing a white crystalline substance found in a hotel room by room service. The suspect left the property. Officers will attempt contact at a later time.

On 5/9/26, at approximately 5:14 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 from mile marker 5.8, driving recklessly. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a Municipal Summons, and a report was taken.

On 5/9/26, at approximately 6:40 p.m., officers observed a male known to Black Hawk police looking inside a gaming patrol vehicle and attempting to open the door, stating that a female was back there. Upon investigation, officers determined the incident to be mental health-related, and a report was taken.

On 5/9/26, at approximately 7 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Dakota Parking Lot, to assist a party with gas for his friend's vehicle. On scene, the party was unable to locate his friend. Officers were cleared.

On 5/9/26, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling north on Bobtail Road failing to maintain its lane. Officers conducted a traffic stop. Officers ensured the driver was not impaired or having a medical emergency. After confirming the driver was okay, officers cleared the scene and issued a warning for driving behavior.

On 5/9/26, at approximately 8:41 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for making an illegal U- turn at the intersection of Highway 119 and Gregory Street. A driver was contacted and issued a Municipal Penalty Assessment.

On 5/9/26, at approximately 8:46 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a verbal disturbance between two females and a male and a female party, at the Lodge Casino. After the investigation, the male party grabbed a tito ticket out of one of the other female party's hands due to a dispute over money. The female party did not want to press harassment charges.

On 5/9/26, at approximately 9:27 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at the 100 block of Miners Road for a vehicle failing to stop at a stop sign. The violation was observed at the stop sign at Bobtail Road and Miners Mesa Road. The driver was given a verbal warning.

On 5/9/26, at approximately 9:31 p.m., an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino regarding a lost cell phone. Upon further investigation, the cell phone was located and returned to the reporting party.

On 5/9/26, at approximately 11:27 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing that its head and tail lamps were not illuminated, as it was traveling southbound from the Highway 119 and Miners Mesa intersection. A driver was contacted, corrected the issue, and given a verbal warning.

On 5/9/26, at approximately 11:32 p.m., Black Hawk officers assisted the State Patrol in locating a vehicle that had a license plate reader hit, northbound on Highway 119 entering the city, for an attempt to locate out of Castle Rock for theft, and the request was to identify occupants. Officers located the unoccupied vehicle at the Dakota and later tracked down the sole occupant at the casino, identifying him.

On 5/9/26, at approximately 11:57 p.m., officers responded to the Wild Card Casino to conduct a welfare check on an individual who kept walking into the street. The individual was contacted, determined to be intoxicated, placed into protective custody, and transported to an area hospital.

On 5/10/26, at approximately 12:14 a.m., officers observed a vehicle go straight from a right turn only lane. The driver was stopped and given a verbal warning.

On 5/10/26, at approximately 12:20 a.m., officers responded to Highway 119 near mile marker 7 on report of a female party who was laying in the middle of the street. Officers contacted a male and female party. Officers ultimately gave those parties a courtesy ride to the hotel at Horseshoe Casino. Officers then cleared the scene with no further actions taken.

On 5/10/26, at approximately 1:23 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle traveling east running a red light at the intersection of Main Street and Miners Mesa. A driver was contacted and issued a municipal penalty assessment.

On 5/10/26, at approximately 6:02 a.m., officers responded to Lodge Casino on a report of a harassment incident. Upon further investigation, a suspect was identified and placed into custody.

On 5/10/26, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction on Selak Street After talking to the party, the party informed the officer he was not familiar with Black Hawk and was on his way to Georgetown. The driver was given a warning.

On 5/10/26, at approximately 6:23 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Main Street and Highway 119 on a vehicle with expired registration. The driver was warned and advised to update the registration.

On 5/10/26, at approximately 7:51 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Gregory Street for a vehicle with no visible registration. The driver was released with a warning for no visible registration.

On 5/11/26, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling northbound 5800 Highway 119 with no license plate. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the Dakota Lot. A verbal warning was issued. The NCIC/CCIC system was down and could not get a return for the vehicle due to the vehicle being out of state.

On 5/11/26, at approximately 1:07 a.m., an officer observed a vehicle traveling southbound Highway 119 at mile marker 5.8 that crossed over the double yellow line and was driving in oncoming traffic. A traffic stop was conducted at mile marker 5.5. During the contact with the driver a pipe with burnt residue was observed inside the vehicle. A search was performed and the driver was given a summons.

On 5/11/26, at approximately 12:02 p.m., officers took a phone report for theft of tools at the Horseshoe Casino that occurred between 5/9/26 and 5/10/26. A report was completed and this case is currently unsolvable and inactive.

On 5/11/26, at approximately 2:35 p.m., officers were dispatched to a prostitution call at the Lodge Casino. Due to a lack of evidence, officers were unable to establish probable cause to charge the suspect and the suspect was trespassed from the property.

On 5/11/26, at approximately 9:12 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino, in regard to a welfare check on an individual. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the individual outside on the smoking patio. The individual was okay and not in any need of assistance. The individual then left the property per request of security staff.

On 5/11/26, at approximately 9:23 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a REDDI. Officers observed the vehicle traveling eastbound on the 200 block of Gregory Street and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was issued a Gilpin County Summons and booked into the Gilpin County Jail on a warrant.

On 5/11/26, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 119 near mile marker 6 with expired registration tags of 10/25. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the Monarch Casino overflow lot. A summons was issued.

On 5/12/26, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the area of the 200 block of Main Street on a report of a male party threatening another male party. Officers conducted an investigation of the incident, the reporting party then walked away from officers and did not want to answer questions of the incident. There was no suspect information 

given by the reporting party, officers then cleared the scene. No further action was taken.

On 5/12/26, at approximately 1:29 a.m., Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 near mile marker 6 for weaving. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/12/26, at approximately 2:32 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino, for a trespass. The individual was escorted off the property without incident.

On 5/12/26, at approximately 3:13 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a REDDI leaving the Ameristar Casino. After further investigation, the driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

On 5/12/26, at approximately 12:33 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Mountain City Park for a theft call. A report was taken and this case is currently unsolvable and inactive.

On 5/12/26, at approximately 7:21 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Highway 119 and Richman Street on a vehicle with fictitious registration. The driver was issued a summons for fictitious registration and no proof of insurance.

On 5/12/26, at approximately 7:20 p.m., an officer observed a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 119 with no license plate attached. A traffic stop was conducted at the Bally's parking garage. The driver had just purchased the vehicle and had an appointment at the DMV, the driver was given a verbal warning and advised not to be driving until the vehicle is registered.

On 5/12/26, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 119 near mile marker 5.8 with no license plate. Officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Miners Road and Main Street. A verbal warning was issued.

On 5/13/26, at approximately 12 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Wild Card Casino, on the report of trespassing patron on the casino floor. The suspect was contacted and issued a summons.

On 5/13/26, at approximately 12:30 a.m., an officer was dispatched to a call regarding an incident that occurred in the Horseshoe parking garage on 5/12/26, between the hours of 5 - 7 p.m. The incident involved the removal of a portion of the victim's license plate containing the expiration tab. Information was collected, and a report was filed.

On 5/13/26, at approximately 4:32 p.m., an officer responded to the Bally's parking garage on a hit and run accident. The driver of the vehicle who fled was later contacted and issued a Gilpin County Summons.

On 5/13/26, at approximately 6:26 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to Monarch Casino regarding a possible fraud. The investigation was completed, and it was determined that no fraud was committed.

On 5/13/26, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling at Main Street and Highway 119 with no tail lights on. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle southbound on Highway 119 near mile marker 5.3. A verbal 

warning was issued.

On 5/13/26, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 119 with a headlight out. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the Lady Luck Casino overflow parking lot. A verbal warning was issued.

On 5/13/26, at approximately 10:57 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 119 near mile marker 6.5 for weaving. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/13/26, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 119 mile marker 5.8 with no headlights on. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the Monarch Casino overflow parking lot. A verbal warning was issued.

On 5/13/26, at approximately 11:57 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling eastbound on Main Street. The driver was issued a Gilpin County Summons and a proof of service for driving without a license.

On 5/14/26, at approximately 12:56 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 near mile marker 6 for driving with an expired license plate. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/14/26, at approximately 3:39 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Maryland Mountain Trailhead, in response to a report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon contact, the individual was sleeping and informed that they could not camp. The driver moved without further incident.

On 5/14/26, at approximately 7:10 a.m., a traffic complaint was made to dispatch regarding a grey sports car with no license plate driving aggressively and passing on the double yellow line. The vehicle was located traveling northbound from mile marker 4 on Highway 119. The vehicle was spotted at the intersection of Highway 119 and Main Street. The vehicle was stopped and cited.

On 5/14/26, Black Hawk officers responded to mile marker 5.8 on northbound Highway 119 on a report of road rage between two vehicles that occurred in Gilpin County. Black Hawk officers made contact with one of the drivers at the 300 block of Main Street, who stated that they were okay and did not want to report anything. Gilpin County Sheriff's Office made contact with the other involved suspect vehicle and released the driver with a warning. The reporting party stated they did not want to make an additional report or sign a formal complaint. Officers cleared the scene.

On 5/14/26, at approximately 2:30 p.m., a man entered the Black Hawk Police Station wanting to report suspicious and potentially fraudulent activity. Details were collected regarding the incident, and a report was taken.

On 5/14/26, at approximately 8:59 p.m., officers responded to Lady Luck Casino for a theft. The suspect was identified and cited.

On 5/14/26, at approximately 10:40 p.m., Black Hawk officers were on a routine area check of the Dakota Lot when they observed a fictitious temporary tag on a vehicle that expired in 2022 but showed an expiration of 2026. The temporary tag was seized, and a report was taken.

On 5/14/26, at approximately 11:08 a.m., officers responded to Bally's Casino's parking garage on report of a vehicle trespass. Officers contacted the reporting party, spoke with surveillance, and ultimately cleared the scene with further action pending.

On 5/15/26, Black Hawk officers responded to a report of a theft from the Monarch Casino Gift Shop. A suspect was located and charged with theft and taken to jail on five active warrants.

On 5/15/26, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of damaged property inside the parking garage. Officers were unable to prove the damage occurred on property or identify any subjects of interest that would have been in the area. The case is inactive.

On 5/15/26, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of an aggressive driver. The concerning 

actions took place on Highway 119 east of the city. The aggressive driver was contacted the following day and warned about his driving actions.

On 5/15/26, the Black Hawk Police Department received a report of a harassment occurring at the Lodge Casino. The investigation revealed that an upset patron was yelling at staff regarding the casino rules. The subject was asked to leave the property for 24 hrs. No criminal charges were filed.

On 5/15/26, at approximately 4:35 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle at the 200 block of Gregory Street with expired plates. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a Gilpin County Penalty Assessment.

On 5/15/26, at approximately 5:34 p.m., Black Hawk officers were advised of a lost wallet that occurred on 5/14/26 at the Lady Luck Casino. A report was taken, and a surveillance review began.

On 5/15/26, at approximately 6:32 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Dakota Lot on a report of a 

possible hit and run. Upon investigation, it was determined not to be a hit-and-run, and an informational report was taken.

On 5/15/26, at approximately 8:45 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at Highway 119 and mile marker 5.8 for a vehicle that failed to yield right-of-way to a pedestrian in the crosswalk at the 200 block of Gregory Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/15/26, at approximately 9:21 p.m., officers observed a vehicle driving southbound on Gregory Street which had a license plate that came back as not on record. Officers stopped the vehicle, contacted the driver, and ultimately cleared the scene after confirming the vehicle had updated registration.

On 5/15/26, at approximately 9:50 p.m., officers observed the driver run a red light at the Miners Road and Main Street intersection. The driver was issued a citation.

On 5/15/26, at approximately 9:48 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at the Ameristar parking garage on level five, for a vehicle with a broken headlight. The driver was observed on Richman Street before entering the garage with a broken headlight. The driver was issued a Gilpin County penalty assessment for not having a valid driver's license.

On 5/16/26, at approximately 4:50 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for a theft of $300. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the supposed victim. After the investigation, officers determined that no crime was committed, but it would be considered civil due to the victim willingly sending the supposed suspect $200 through CashApp.

On 5/16/26, an officer completed a telephone report regarding lost property at the Monarch Casino. The item had been lost at the 24/7 restaurant on 5/14/26, and was not turned into the lost and found.

On 5/16/26, at approximately 5:13 p.m., officers were dispatched to a theft call at the Horseshoe Casino. The case is open and still under investigation.

On 5/16/26, at approximately 7:54 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Gregory Street on a vehicle with improperly affixed registration. The driver was issued a warning.

On 5/16/26, at approximately 9:59 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino regarding an individual who was not feeling well after drinking from a water bottle. Upon further investigation, it was determined that nothing criminal occurred, and a report was taken.

On 5/16/26, at approximately 11:10 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for displaying blue lights to the front in the 200 block of Gregory Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/17/26, at approximately 12:29 a.m., officers observed a vehicle driving with no headlights at mile marker 6 on Highway 119. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at approximately mile 5 on Highway 119 and issued the driver a warning.

On 5/17/26, at approximately 3:18 a.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino regarding a verbal disturbance that occurred between two individuals at a gaming table. Upon further investigation, both individuals were asked to separate for the remainder of the evening, and no criminal charges were filed.

On 5/17/26, at approximately 4:53 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing it failing to maintain a single lane while traveling eastbound from the Miners Mesa and Bobtail intersection. A driver was contacted, who explained that they were texting while driving. The driver was given a verbal warning.

On 5/17/26, at approximately 4:23 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for a male party refusing to leave. Upon arrival, officers spoke to casino staff who advised the male party was disputing a potential gaming violation. After the investigation, the male party was placed into custody on multiple warrants. The suspect was taken to Gilpin County Jail, where he was booked in on his warrants.

On 5/17/26, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of lost property. The item was later found and will be returned to its owner.

On 5/17/26, officers responded to the Sasquatch Casino on the report of a welfare check. The party was found to be sleeping in the restaurant area, was woken up, but required no further assistance.

On 5/18/26, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a female screaming. Officers conducted an investigation and a summons was issued. A report was taken.

On 5/18/26, at approximately 12:13 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino, for an ID check on a female party. After investigation it was determined that the female party was not of age to be gambling. The case has been referred to the Division of Gaming for further actions.

On 5/18/26, officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on the request for a welfare check. An intoxicated party was contacted and allowed to take the bus home.

On 5/18/26, at approximately 12:15 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a lane violation occurring at Main Street and Miners Road. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 5/18/26, at approximately 4:59 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for displaying expired registration at Highway 119 and Richman Street The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 5/18/26, at approximately 5:13 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for displaying expired registration at Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver was issued a penalty assessment and a report was completed.

On 5/18/26, at approximately 6:49 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for improperly displaying a license plate at the 400 block of Main Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 5/18/26, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of lost property that occurred between May 11-May 12, 2026. Officers later determined that nothing criminal occurred. A report was taken.

On 5/18/26, at approximately 7:28 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino, for an ID check. The male party, who was over 21, received a warning for using his cousin's ID because his ID had expired.

On 5/18/26, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 119 mile marker 6 with no rear license plate. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at the Ameristar Casino bus turn around. Upon contact, the driver handed appropriate documentation of the vehicle being a rental. A verbal warning was issued.

On 5/18/26, at approximately 10:42 p.m., an officer observed a vehicle turn northbound onto Highway 119 from Richman Street with no visible plate and no illuminated brake lights. A traffic stop was conducted at mile marker 5.8  Highway 119. The temporary plate was in the rear windshield, and the drivers brake lights did work. The driver was given a verbal warning.

On 5/18/26, at approximately 11:58 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 near mile marker 6 for weaving. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/19/26, at approximately 4:04 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no number plates displayed on the 400 block of Main Street. The driver was issued a penalty assessment and a report was completed.

On 5/19/26, at approximately 4:54 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after receiving a report that the driver was intoxicated. The driver was ultimately issued a penalty assessment and a report was completed.

On 5/19/26, at approximately 8:49 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino for a disturbance. The mother and son were separated for the night.

On 5/20/26, requested to take an information report as an AOA for the Division of Gaming.

On 5/20/26, at approximately 12:18 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to yield while making a left turn at Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 5/20/26, at approximately 12:38 pm, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no number plates displayed and use of a handheld device at Miners Road and Main Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 5/20/26, at approximately 1:11 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino for a suspicious incident. Upon arrival and upon completion of the investigation, the involved parties were contacted, and a report was taken.

On 5/20/26, at approximately 2:30 p.m., two vehicles were involved in a minor accident on the 7th floor of the Monarch Casino parking garage. Information was exchanged, and a report was taken.

On 5/20/26, at approximately 5:02 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 from Gregory Street displaying fictitious license plates. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/20/26, at approximately 8:02 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for displaying an expired plate on the 300 block of Main Street. The driver was issued a summons and a report was completed.

On 5/20/26, at approximately 10:28 p.m., officers were dispatched to Ameristar Casino for an ID check. A minor was present and issued a summons and the female with the minor was issued a summons.

On 5/20/26, at approximately 11:52 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for having a Colorado license plate that expired in December of 2025 traveling southbound from the Highway 119 and Richman Street intersection. A driver was contacted and provided proof that a nearby agency had recently cited them and they were taking the necessary steps to correct the issue. A verbal warning was given.

On 5/21/26, at approximately 12:18 a.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 from mile marker 6.5 with no number plates attached. Officers conducted a traffic stop and the driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/21/26, at approximately 12:19 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle displaying a Colorado license plate that expired in November of 2025 at the intersection of Gregory Street and Bobtail Road. A driver was contacted who provided proof that their registration was up to date and they just needed to change the colored tag on the plate. A verbal warning was given.

On 5/21/26, at approximately 2:12 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing that it did not have its headlamps or taillamps illuminated at the intersection of Highway 119 and Gregory Street. A driver was contacted, corrected the issue, and given a verbal warning.

On 5/21/26, at approximately 5:11 a.m., officers responded to Lodge Casino on a report of found drugs. Officers spoke with the reporting party, collected a white powdery substance found on the gaming floor, and reviewed surveillance. The suspect was identified and a warrant was issued.

On 5/21/26, at approximately 12 p.m., officers were dispatched to The Lodge Casino, on the report of stolen cash which was dropped on the ground. Utilizing surveillance, we were able to track down the couple who picked up the cash and successfully returned it to the owner.

On 5/21/26, at approximately 11:56 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired registration in the 6000 block of Highway 119. The driver provided proof of current registration and was warned for displaying valid registration.

On 5/22/26, at approximately 12:04 a.m., officers responded to Monarch Casino on a report of a suspicious person. Officers contacted one male party, reviewed surveillance, and ultimately cleared the scene after writing and issuing a summons.

On 5/22/26, at approximately 3:01 a.m., officers observed a vehicle driving southbound on the 400 block of Main Street with defective headlights. The driver was issued a warning.

On 5/22/26, at approximately 9:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to a call regarding the theft of cash, left in the trunk of a vehicle parked in the Ameristar Garage between the hours of 2 a.m. and 5 a.m., on 5/17/26. During the investigation, the victim decided to drop all charges.

On 5/22/26, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling south on Main Street carelessly. Officers conducted a traffic stop and issued the driver a verbal warning for driving behavior. Officers cleared the scene.

On 5/22/26, at approximately 8:32 p.m., officers observed a vehicle going southbound on Highway 119 and Richman Street that was observed failing to maintain its lane and driving at slower speeds. The driver was issued a warning.

On 5/22/26, at approximately 8:47 p.m., officers observed a vehicle driving with no head lights on in the 6000 block of Highway 119. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/22/26, at approximately 8:58 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar, for a domestic in progress call. After an investigation, officers determined no crime occurred.

On 5/22/26, at approximately 9:36 p.m., officers were dispatched to Monarch Casino parking garage level 3 for suspicious activity. Upon investigation a male party was issued a summons for driving a vehicle when license is under restraint (suspended).

On 5/22/26, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling past an officer on a traffic stop at a high rate of speed southbound Highway 119 mile marker 5.8. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at mile marker 5.3. A verbal warning was issued.

On 5/22/26, at approximately 10:34 p.m., officers observed a vehicle with no visible registration in the 6000 block of Highway 119. The driver provided relevant documents and was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/22/26, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound Highway 119 mile marker 5.8 with no taillights on. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at mile marker 5.3. A verbal warning was issued.

On 5/22/26, at approximately 11:20 p.m., officers observed a vehicle driving with no headlights on when required in the 6000 block of Highway 119. The driver was issued verbal warning after correcting the issue.

On 5/22/26, officers observed a vehicle with license plate lights traveling southbound Highway 119 mile marker 5.8. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at mile marker 5.3. A verbal warning was issued.

On 5/22/26, an officer was following a vehicle that was weaving on southbound Highway 119 mile marker 5.3 to mile marker 4.4. Officers conducted a traffic stop at mile marker 4.4. There were signs of impairment and a verbal warning was issued.

On 5/23/26, officers were behind a vehicle traveling on Bobtail Road that was weaving. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle on Lawrence Street, no signs of impairment and a verbal warning was issued.

On 5/22/26, at approximately 11:55 p.m., officers responded to Horseshoe garage on a report of stolen property. Officers contacted the reporting party, spoke with Horseshoe surveillance, and cleared the scene pending further action.

On 5/23/26, officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound Highway 119 mile marker 5.8 with no license plate lights. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at mile marker 5.3. A verbal warning was issued.

On 5/23/26, officers observed a vehicle weaving southbound Highway 119 mile marker 5.8 and with no license plate lights. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at mile marker 5.3. Upon contact, the driver had a suspended drivers license. A passenger of the vehicle had a valid drivers license and no signs of impairment. The driver was advised of his license being suspended. A verbal warning was issued.

On 5/23/26, at approximately 2:18 a.m., officers found scattered property near the intersection of Main Street and Highway 119. Property has been booked in for safekeeping.

On 5/23/26, at approximately 1:15 p.m., officers witnessed a vehicle traveling north on Highway 119 at mile marker 6.5 without registration stickers on its license plate. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver was issued a summons for the violation.

On 5/23/26, at approximately 2 p.m., a black Subaru was observed traveling northbound on Highway 119 at mile marker 6, without a license plate. A stop was initiated, which determined the vehicle to have recently been purchased, and a warning was given.

On 5/23/26, Black Hawk officers responded to 261 Main Street to check the welfare of a juvenile. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the father of the juvenile and confirmed that everyone was ok. Officers cleared the scene.

On 5/23/26, at approximately 5:01 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of Main Street after observing a vehicle make an unsafe lane change. The driver was issued a municipal penalty assessment for the lane change.

On 5/23/26, at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired registration in the 300 block of Main Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/23/26, at approximately 8:47 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the 6000 block of Highway 119 on a vehicle after observing improper lane usage. The driver was verbally warned.

On 5/23/26, at approximately 8:52 p.m., officers observed a vehicle failing to use turn signals on the 200 block of Main Street. The driver was given a verbal warning.

On 5/23/26, at approximately 9:32 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at 333 Main Street for a driver failing to yield to pedestrians at the crosswalk at the 200 block of Main Street. After conducting the traffic stop, officers could smell an unknown alcoholic beverage emanating from the driver's breath. After officers conducted roadside tests, officers determined the driver was not intoxicated. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/23/26, at approximately 10:13 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with white taillights and improper headlights at the intersection of Main and Richman. The driver was educated on how to remedy the issue and released with a warning.

On 5/23/26, at approximately 11:10 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing their headlights were not illuminated and displayed an expired Colorado license plate from April 2025 at the intersection of Main Street and Miners Mesa Road. A driver was contacted who was unable to provide proof of insurance and didn't have a valid driver's license. The driver was issued a Gilpin County Summons.

On 5/23/26, at approximately 11:31 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no headlights activated when required in the 6000 block of Highway 119. The driver was issued a warning.

On 5/23/26, at approximately 11:48 p.m., officers observed a vehicle with no headlights activated in the 6000 block of Highway 119 and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was released with a warning.

On 5/24/26, at approximately 12:34 a.m., officers observed a vehicle driving southbound on Gregory Street with no headlamps or tail lamps on as required. Officers stopped the vehicle, contacted the driver, and ultimately cleared the scene with a verbal warning.

On 5/24/26, at approximately 3:51 a.m., an officer responded to level 3 of the Horseshoe parking garage, regarding damage to a vehicle. Upon further investigation, no suspect was identified, and a report was taken.

On 5/24/26, officers responded to the Red Dolly Casino on the report of harassment. A suspect will be identified as charged with harassment.

On 5/24/26, officers responded to the 300 block of Gregory Street, at the request for a welfare check. The female party was contacted and transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

On 5/24/26, officers responded to the Lodge Casino on an assist to the Division of Gaming regarding underage gaming. Information was collected and the involved parties were escorted off the property.

On 5/24/26, at approximately 6:12 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to Miners Road, regarding an accident in the 800 block of Miners Mesa. No one was injured, and there was minor damage.

On 5/24/26, at approximately 10:04 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at 100 Miners Road for a vehicle with an expired Colorado temporary tag 3/26. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/24/26, at approximately 10:13 p.m., an officer observed a vehicle traveling southbound Highway 119 at mile marker 5.8 without head lights on. A traffic stop was conducted at mile marker 5. The driver was given a verbal warning.

On 5/24/26, at approximately 10:26 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop at Coyote Liquors for a vehicle that had an expired Colorado license plate 1/26 and no license plate lights. The officer observed the driver at Highway 119 and mile marker 5.8. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/24/26, at approximately 10:37 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at Lodge Casino on a vehicle with no license plate lights. The vehicle was observed at Highway 119 and mile marker 5.8. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/24/26, at approximately 10:49 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at the 500 block of Main Street for a passenger's headlight out. The officer observed the driver on Highway 119 and mile marker 5.8. The driver was given a verbal warning.

On 5/24/26, Black Hawk officers received a REDDI report of a vehicle traveling northbound Highway 119 at mile mark 4. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the Briggs parking lot. Officers observed no signs of impairment and the driver was released.

On 5/24/26, at approximately 11:17 p.m., a male party approached an officer outside the Horseshoe Casino to report his phone as lost. Upon a brief investigation the phone was located at the slot machine the male party was playing at, and the phone was returned to him.

On 5/24/26, Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a fake identification card and underage drinking. Officers conducted an investigation and a summons was issued.

On 5/25/26, at approximately 12:56 a.m., an officer observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 at mile marker 5.8 without headlights on, a traffic stop was conducted at Coyote Liquors. The driver was issued a summons.

On 5/25/26, at approximately 4:51 a.m., officers received a REDDI report from the Ameristar Casino. Ameristar reported that a male party was deemed intoxicated by security staff and was leaving the casino heading northbound Highway 119 in a green Jeep with no plate. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle at that time. At approximately 5:51 a.m. the Ameristar Casino called back to report that the male party was back on property in a different vehicle and leaving again heading northbound Highway 119. Officers were informed that the party lived on Chase Street and were able to locate the vehicle and male party at that time. An investigation for DUI was conducted, and the male party was ultimately arrested and transported to the hospital.

On 5/25/26, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a physical disturbance between a male and two females. A male suspect was arrested and charged with harassment and assault, 3rd degree domestic violence.

On 5/25/26, at approximately 9:21 a.m., a Black Hawk officer took a phone report regarding a lost/stolen cell phone that occurred on 5/25/26. This case remains active for further investigation.

On 5/25/26, a Black Hawk officer responded to High Street on the report of damage to a vehicle. There is no suspect information.

On 5/25/26, at approximately 5:35 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for displaying an expired temporary permit on Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 5/25/26, at approximately 5:48 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for displaying an expired temporary permit at Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 5/25/26, at approximately 6:45 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for displaying an expired plate at Miners Road and Main Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 5/25/26, at approximately 10:17 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle turning to travel southbound on Highway 119 from Miners Road not using turn signals. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/25/26, at approximately 10:32 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle on Main Street and Highway 119 not using turn signals, as well as changing lanes when unsafe. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/25/26, at approximately 10:44 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to slow down/move over for a disabled vehicle at 6100 Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 5/25/26, at approximately 11:19 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 119 from mile marker 6 with an expired temporary tag and also failed to use a turn signal. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/26/26, at approximately 11:33 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic signal violation occurring at Highway 119 and Gregory Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 5/25/26, at approximately 11:41 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 at mile marker 6 failing to slow down or move over as a tow truck was on the right shoulder. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/26/26, at approximately 12:33 a.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 at mile marker 6.5 with no headlamps. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/26/26, at approximately 2:05 a.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 from mile marker 6 with a defective right front headlight. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver later had a Municipal warrant out of the Black Hawk Police Department and was transported to Gilpin County Jail.

On 5/25/26, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a dine and dash where a suspect left an ID that did not belong to him. The suspect was later arrested.

On 5/26/26, Black Hawk officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a disturbance. Suspect was issued a summons. A report was taken.

On 5/26/26, at approximately 10:38 p.m., officers were called to the Monarch Casino, in regard to a lost wallet. The wallet was located and turned into the cash cage. The wallet was missing approximately 300 dollars out of it. A suspect was identified and located in their hotel room. The suspect gave back the missing cash, and it was returned to its owner.

On 5/27/26, at approximately 8:53 a.m., officers observed a vehicle with no visible registration in the 6000 block of Highway 119 and conducted a traffic stop. After verifying current registration, the driver was released with a warning.

On 5/27/26, at approximately 9:43 p.m., officers were performing an area check of the Monarch parking garage on level 2. Officers contacted a suspicious vehicle that was parked. Male party was advised to not drive as he has his license suspended.

On 5/27/26, at approximately 12:29 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no number plates displayed occurring at Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 5/27/26, at approximately 12:41 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 from mile marker 6 with expired plates. Officers conducted a traffic stop and determined the tab on the vehicle's plate was fictitious. The tab was removed, and the driver was issued a Gilpin County summons.

On 5/27/26, at approximately 12:59 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for displaying an expired temporary registration at Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 5/27/26, at approximately 4:39 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of expired plates at 6000 Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 5/27/26, at approximately 4:59 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to maintain lane occurring around mile marker 6 of Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 5/27/26, at approximately 5:20 p.m., a commercial vehicle was rounding the corner between northbound Main Street onto Richman to southbound Highway 119 and clipped the corner of a pillar belonging to The Lodge Casino. Given the damage was minor, information was exchanged, and The Lodge management decided not to pursue damages.

On 5/27/26, at approximately 6:10 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch parking garage, to assist Colorado State Patrol troopers in contacting a suspicious vehicle. The driver was determined to have active warrants but was unable to be located. A report was completed.

On 5/27/26, Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of found drugs. No suspect has been identified. A report was taken.

On 5/28/26, at approximately 1:03 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino, regarding a disturbance between two individuals on the gaming floor. Both individuals had already left the scene before law enforcement's arrival. A report was taken.

On 5/28/26, at approximately 1:55 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a welfare check that occurred at Bally's West Casino. The reporting party advised dispatch that when they had ordered food, his brother left the casino at approximately 10:30 p.m.. After the investigation, the male party had left Bally's and headed westbound on Gregory Street at approximately 10:38 p.m.. This case will stay active.

On 5/28/26, at approximately 6:46 a.m., officers observed a white Chevrolet Cavaliere with no registration driving near the intersection of Gregory and Bobtail Streets. A traffic stop was conducted and officers confirmed the vehicle was last registered in 2019, had no insurance, and the driver had no valid driver's license. The driver was issued a Gilpin County Summons.

On 5/28/26, at approximately 10:57 a.m., an officer observed a vehicle make an illegal U-turn at the intersection of Gregory Street and Highway 119. The driver was given a verbal warning.

On 5/28/26, at approximately 11:18 a.m., officers observed a vehicle travel on the wrong side of the road and make a left turn into Horseshoe parking garage. The driver was given a verbal warning.

On 5/28/26, at approximately 1 p.m., officers were dispatched to a caller wanting to report damage to his vehicle, which occurred in The Lodge Casino parking lot. Video footage was obtained from The Lodge Casino security, and while investigating a potential suspect, the victim decided not to press charges at this time.

On 5/28/26, at approximately 1:40 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop inside of Monarch parking garage on level 5. The driver was observed driving past mile marker 6 northbound on Highway 119. The driver had expired tags and was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/28/26, at approximately 2:42 p.m., officers observed a vehicle driving with no functional brake lights near the intersection of Main Street and Richman. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 5/28/26, at approximately 2:43 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at the Red Dolly. Officers observed the driver driving carelessly on Highway 119 and Gregory Intersection. The driver was issued a Municipal Summons for careless driving.

On 5/28/26, while on routine patrol, Black Hawk officers witnessed an occupied vehicle stopped on the edge of southbound Highway 119, at mile marker 6. Officers made contact with the driver, who stated that he was okay and had just gotten a flat tire. He was awaiting a tow truck and did not require any additional assistance.

On 5/28/26, at approximately 8 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on the report of a $300 cash theft. Officers determined the victim had accidentally dropped the cash inside the casino, which another casino patron had picked up. The suspect was contacted, and the money was returned to the reporting party. The victim stated they did not wish to pursue criminal charges. The suspect was released, and officers cleared the scene.

On 5/28/26, at approximately 8:49 p.m., officers responded to a report of a lost property at Monarch Casino's gaming floor. Officers spoke with the reporting party and surveillance, however the reporting party ultimately found their own property and officers cleared the scene.

On 5/28/26, at approximately 11:27 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at Highway 119 and mile marker 5.8 on a vehicle with expired plates 4/24. The vehicle was observed on the 400 block of Main Street. The driver was issued a Gilpin County summons for expired plates and failing to present insurance upon request.

On 5/29/26, at approximately 2:12 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after it was observed making an illegal U-turn at the intersection of Highway 119 and Gregory Street. A driver was contacted who explained that they had just moved here from out of state and were still learning the area. The driver was given a verbal warning.

On 5/29/26, at approximately 6:31 a.m., officers contacted a suspicious person on level 8 of the Ameristar parking garage. The driver was warned about a registration issue and released without further action.

On 5/29/26, at approximately 8:52 a.m., officers responded to The Nest at Black Hawk on a possible disturbance call. No charges are being filed at this time.

On 5/29/26, at approximately 1:20 p.m., officers were dispatched to The Sasquatch Casino on the report of a party unconscious and not breathing. Officers remained on scene until the patient was pronounced deceased by medical.

On 5/29/26, at approximately 3:05 p.m., officers were dispatched to a cold theft/fraud call that occurred at the Horseshoe Casino. The case is open and actively under investigation.

On 5/29/26, at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to 195 Clear Creek Street on the report of a damaged vehicle which occurred on 5/14/26 while parked. Given the lack of a suspect a report was completed documenting the incident.

On 5/29/26, at approximately 8:42 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after it was observed making an illegal U-turn at the intersection of Highway 119 and Gregory Street A driver was contacted and was given a verbal warning.

On 5/29/26, at approximately 11:19 p.m., officers observed a vehicle with no license plate in the 111 block of Richman Street. The driver was stopped and had a temporary tag which matched the vehicle and expired. The driver was educated and released with a warning.

On 5/30/26, at approximately 3:28 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after it was observed with a Colorado license plate that expired in August of 2025, traveling northbound from the Highway 119 and Gregory Street intersection. A driver was contacted and was issued a Gilpin County Penalty Assessment.

On 5/30/26, at approximately 7:28 a.m., officers were conducting an area check of Ameristar parking garage. Officers performed a welfare check on a vehicle parked on level 5 of the garage. The driver was given a verbal warning for sleeping in the car.

On 5/30/26, at approximately 8:22 a.m., officers were dispatched to Ameristar Casino for a harassment call. The female party was advised to contact Thornton Police as crime occurred in Thornton.

On 5/30/26, officers were dispatched to the Bigfoot Casino lot for a car accident. The dispatched informed officers that the male party was unconscious but breathing. Male party was transported to the hospital.

On 5/30/26, at approximately 12:35 p.m., officers were dispatched to Chase Street to check for a vehicle involved in a trespass as requested by Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office. While on scene the vehicle arrived and the occupant was detained. Officers stood by until the sheriff arrived to take over.

On 5/30/26, at approximately 6 p.m., officers were dispatched to the parking garage of the Monarch Casino on the report of a stolen license plate. A report was taken, and casino surveillance is reviewing video footage.

On 5/30/26, at approximately 8:47 p.m., officers observed a vehicle driving northbound on Highway 119 without an attached number plate. Officers stopped the vehicle, contacted the driver, and ultimately cleared the scene with a verbal warning.

On 5/31/26, at approximately 1:38 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after it was observed with neither its head nor tail lamps illuminated at the intersection of Gregory Street and Main Street. The driver was contacted, corrected the issue, and was given a verbal warning.

On 5/31/26, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of damage to property. The suspect was identified but had left the property. The case is active.

On 5/31/26, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a medical assist in one of the hotel rooms. The party had overdosed on narcotics, was treated and released and items of drug paraphernalia were collected for destruction.

On 5/31/26, at approximately 2:59 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for displaying unassigned registration on the 400 block of Main Street. A number plate was seized and the driver was given a warning. A report was completed.

On 5/31/26, at approximately 7:32 p.m., officers responded to the Lady Luck Casino, on a report of a party using someone else's identification document. The suspect was contacted and arrested on outstanding warrants in addition to new charges. A report was completed.
