Black Hawk Police Reports, April 2026
On 4/1/26, at approximately 8:54 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino hotel on report of a disturbance. Officers responded to the hotel room and contacted a male and female party who had been in a disagreement. Officers ultimately determined the disturbance was only verbal and no crimes had occurred.
On 4/1/26, at approximately 4:39 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 from mile marker six with an expired temporary tag. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a verbal warning.
On 4/1/26, at approximately 11 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 without headlights. The driver was issued a verbal warning.
On 4/1/26, at approximately 11:25 p.m., officers were dispatched to 245 Main Street, in regard to a hit and run accident that occurred in a parking lot.
On 4/2/26, at approximately 12:47 a.m., an officer responded to the Monarch Casino regarding a little toy treasure chest with an unknown crystallized substance inside. The unknown crystallized substance was later collected and tested to be positive for a controlled substance. A report was taken.
On 4/2/26, at approximately 1:14 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino for a welfare check. Upon further investigation, the call was determined to be a false report.
On 4/2/26, at approximately 3:31 a.m., an officer was performing a license plate reader sweep of the Horseshoe Casino. During the sweep, the officer heard a verbal disturbance taking place. The individuals were later located, and upon further investigation, both individuals were charged with disorderly conduct.
On 4/2/26, at approximately 7:39 a.m., an officer responded to a traffic accident at the Ameristar garage. The damage was to a parked vehicle. The officer investigated the crash and the damage was minimal. The owner of the vehicle that was damaged did not call the police back after leaving a business card. A report was taken.
On 4/2/26, Black Hawk officers were flagged down to report a lost cell phone. Officers assisted the reporting parties in looking for the phone and located it. Officers cleared the scene.
On 4/2/26, at approximately 2:15 p.m., Black Hawk officers were requested to respond to mile marker 4 on Highway 119 to cover Colorado State Patrol on a traffic stop. Black Hawk officers arrived on scene and stood by as cover. Colorado State Patrol requested a clearance on the passenger of the vehicle, and Black Hawk assisted. Officers then cleared the scene.
On 4/2/26, at approximately 3:03 p.m., officers observed a vehicle drive through a stop sign while turning around in the bus turnaround by the Monarch Casino. The vehicle then accelerated well over the posted 15 MPH speed zone. The vehicle was stopped and the driver given a verbal warning.
On 4/2/26, at approximately 3:08 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for a damaged gaming device. Upon arrival, an investigation was initiated and a report taken.
On 4/2/26, at approximately 6:19 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling eastbound near the 500 block of Main Street with expired plates and observed the right rear brake light was out. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a verbal warning.
On 4/2/26, at approximately 6:32 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed an RV pulling a vehicle attempting to back out of a parking lot onto the 300 block of Main Street. When doing so, the RV scraped the road's asphalt causing damage. A report was taken, a DR3447 was completed, and a CIRSA was completed.
On 4/3/26, at approximately 9:06 p.m., an officer observed a vehicle exiting the wrong way out of the Ameristar parking garage and proceeded to travel north. A driver was contacted and was given a verbal warning.
On 4/3/26, at approximately 12:42 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino in reference to an intoxicated party sleeping in the hotel lobby. The subject was contacted and did not appear to be a danger to himself and/or others. He obtained an Uber and left the area.
On 4/3/26, at approximately 1:04 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino for a highly intoxicated party. The party was verbally non-compliant but was detained for his safety and then transported by ambulance to the hospital.
On 4/3/26, at approximately 5:01 p.m., Black Hawk officers were on routine patrol near mile marker 6 on Highway 119 when they received an LPR hit on a mobile vehicle traveling northbound. Upon clearance, the LPR hit was on a felony warrant for a male registered owner of the vehicle with caution indicators of violent tendencies. Officers conducted a high-risk stop, and the male subject was not in the vehicle.
On 4/3/26, at approximately 9:14 p.m., officers contacted a male party sitting on the roadway by the Gregory Plaza. The party was intoxicated but alert. The party's welfare was checked, and was given a courtesy transport to the Grand Z Hotel.
On 4/3/26, at approximately 10:11 p.m., officers observed a vehicle without a license plate. The vehicle was stopped and the driver produced the plate with a good explanation for why it was removed. The driver was given a warning.
On 4/3/26, at approximately 11:47 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for an ordinance violation for urinating in public. Upon arrival, officers spoke to two male parties. After the investigation, officers issued both suspects municipal penalty assessments for urinating in public.
On 4/4/26, at approximately 1:27 a.m., Black Hawk officers were contacted by a male party stating that he had lost his cell phone at the Lodge Casino. After the investigation, officers were contacted by surveillance. Surveillance stated security had located the phone and it was in their possession.
On 4/4/26, at approximately 2:12 a.m., an officer responded to the Lodge Casino regarding a theft of a $100 bill from the gaming floor. A report was taken.
On 4/4/26, at approximately 2:20 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to Bally's West Casino for an assist for the Division of Gaming for a $300 tito ticket theft. The theft occurred at the Lodge Casino. Officers contacted the potential suspect and gathered his information.
On 4/4/26, at approximately 2:35 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a hostage situation. The report was investigated and determined to be unfounded.
On 4/4/26, at approximately 6:37 a.m., a Black Hawk officer observed a subject sleeping in their vehicle in the Lady Luck parking garage. The subject was contacted and was found to be just resting before driving home. No actions taken.
On 4/4/26, at approximately 11:38 a.m., a Black Hawk officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino regarding a reported theft from a hotel room. The victim stated that approximately $300-$400 was missing from her room. After a thorough investigation, the victim stated that she did not wish to pursue the theft. There was no further action.
On 4/4/26, at approximately 1:13 p.m., Black Hawk officers received a cold property damage report that occurred on 4/3/26. Officers spoke with the victim via phone and collected information. The suspect left a note on the damaged vehicle with contact information. The officers contacted the suspect and collected the necessary information. A report will be taken.
On 4/4/26, at approximately 1:29 p.m., officers responded to a REDDI report at the Monarch Casino. The information provided was that an intoxicated subject had just left the parking garage in a blue GMC SUV. The vehicle was located by Colorado State Patrol, and the driver was arrested for DUI.
On 4/4/26, at approximately 3:57 p.m., Black Hawk officers were advised of a $20 theft at the Wild Card Casino. Officers spoke with the victim and wished to pursue charges. A report was taken, and a suspect was identified.
On 4/4/26, at approximately 8:12 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 119 from mile marker 6 with expired plates. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a verbal warning.
On 4/4/26, at approximately 8:23 p.m., Black Hawk officers were on routine patrol near Richman Street and Main Street when the license plate reader system alerted to an attempt to locate a vehicle. Officers cleared the plate, and the attempt to locate was out of Gilpin, and the request was to identify occupants. Officers contacted the vehicle and identified all occupants.
On 4/4/26, at approximately 10:32 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at 300 Main Street for a vehicle that had an unreadable temporary license plate in the back window. Officers gave the driver a verbal warning.
On 4/4/26, at approximately 10:42 p.m., Black Hawk officers did a welfare check on a male party who had fallen on Highway 119 and Richman Street and hit his head. The male party was taken to the hospital by Gilpin paramedics.
On 4/5/26, a Black Hawk officer contacted a male party on a welfare check at the Monarch Hotel lobby. The male party had been sleeping in the lobby and was previously told he could not be sleeping there. Casino staff issued him a trespass notice, and he left the property without incident.
On 4/5/26, at approximately 11:32 a.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of lost or stolen money. Officers were able to identify multiple suspects and retrieve some of the lost funds. The funds recovered were returned to the owner.
On 4/5/26, at approximately 6:03 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to 101 Main Street, the Saratoga Casino cash cage, on a report of a counterfeit $10. The casino was unable to determine who passed the counterfeit.
On 4/5/26, at approximately 7:47 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino in regard to a male party trespassing on the property. Officers contacted the male and escorted him off property. The party was issued a summons for trespassing.
On 4/5/26, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Saratoga Casino on the report of a disturbance. Surveillance footage showed a male and female verbally arguing as they walked through the casino and to their vehicle in the parking garage. The parties had left before arrival and were not contacted.
On 4/6/26, at approximately 1:29 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino for a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers determined there was evidence to support a crime and a suspect was arrested.
On 4/6/26, Black Hawk officers responded to a report of a disturbance located at the Monarch Casino. Officers conducted an investigation of the incident and concluded that there was nothing criminal that occurred. A report was taken.
On 4/6/26, at approximately 10:10 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 119 at mile marker 6 with expired registration tags of 6/24. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the Horseshoe parking garage on level one. A summons was issued.
On 4/7/26, at approximately 6:17 a.m., a Black Hawk officer observed a vehicle with no taillights on Bobtail, approaching Gregory Street. The officer initiated a traffic stop at the Briggs Lot and verified the driver and vehicle information. The driver was given a verbal warning.
On 4/7/26, an officer completed a report for damage to city property.
On 4/7/26, at approximately 2:06 p.m., officers responded to the Lodge Casino in regard to an intoxicated male party that staff wanted escorted off property. The male party left property and continued down Main Street. At approximately 2:50 p.m., officers were called to the Ameristar Casino for the same intoxicated male party being asked to leave. The party was deemed too intoxicated to take care of himself and was transported to a hospital for medical evaluation.
On 4/7/26, at approximately 5:59 p.m., a female party walked into the police department wanting to file a report for a harassment incident that occurred the night before at the Monarch Casino. Officers completed a report and are investigating further.
On 4/7/26, at approximately 7:09 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino for a report of an assault. Upon further investigation after the initial contact with the victim, it was determined the victim felt pain obtain impact when the suspect smacked her arms. It was determined that the suspect would be charged with 3rd Degree Assault..
On 4/7/26, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to High Street for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, officers contacted the registered owner and advised him to move his vehicle.
On 4/7/26, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 at mile marker 6 with no taillights on. Officers activated their emergency lights, and the vehicle was still traveling southbound Highway 119. The vehicle eventually pulled over to the right on the shoulder just past mile marker 5.8. Officers conducted a DUI investigation and concluded the driver was not impaired. A report was taken.
On 4/8/26, at approximately 2:36 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to Horseshoe Casino on a theft call. The suspect was identified and brought back the money. The suspect was issued a summons for theft. The money was returned to the owner.
On 4/8/26, at approximately 8:28 a.m., officers contacted two male parties of a construction crew at the bus turnaround near Horseshoe Casino and advised them they would need to clear vehicles and equipment from the bus turnaround until they were given permission from the city. Those parties cleared the area and planned to seek permission to park in the bus turnaround.
On 4/8/26, at approximately 9:22 a.m., officers responded to the Z Casino parking lot on report of a traffic accident that occurred on private property. Officers spoke with two drivers and cleared the scene with a report with no injuries and minimal damage.
On 4/8/26, at approximately 5:10 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 119 from mile marker 6 with expired plates. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a Gilpin County Penalty assessment.
On 4/8/26, at approximately 6:02 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 with expired plates. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a verbal warning.
On 4/8/26, at approximately 8:26 p.m., Black Hawk officers were doing a vehicle inspection at 911 Miner’s Road. Black Hawk officers found a small, clear baggie with white powdery substance in the back passenger seat of an officer's marked patrol vehicle. The suspect is unknown.
On 4/8/26, at approximately 10 p.m., an officer with the help of the Gilpin County officers conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle for driving over the posted speed limit while traveling westbound from the 500 block of Gregory Street. The driver was contacted and explained they had just been notified of a family emergency and were trying to get to an area hospital. The driver was given a verbal warning.
On 4/8/26, at approximately 10:09 p.m., Black Hawk officers were on routine patrol and observed new graffiti on the support beam located under Highway 119 mile marker six. A report was taken.
On 4/9/26, at approximately 12:38 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at Highway 119 and Richman Street on a driver with a yellow light bar that was traveling northbound on Richman Street. The driver was issued a summons for a suspended driver's license and no insurance. The driver was also issued a proof of service for a suspended license.
On 4/9/26, at approximately 1:20 a.m., Black Hawk officers were on a motorist assist for a white SUV that was pushing a Dodge van with its front bumper into a parking spot on the second level at the Carriage House, 270 Gregory Street. While officers were talking to the male party in the van, officers observed that the van had no license plate. After officers cleared the van, and the male party that was observed in the driver's seat, the male party came back with a warrant. The male party was placed into custody, while doing a search male party admitted to officers that he had a controlled substance in his possession. The suspect was taken to Gilpin County Jail for his warrant and was issued a summons for unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
On 4/9/26, at approximately 5:13 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 119 from mile marker 6 with an expired temporary tag. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a verbal warning.
On 4/9/26, at approximately 9:43 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle turning onto Main Street from Miner's Road with no headlamps required. Officers followed the vehicle and observed it traveling at a higher rate of speed on Main Street and failing to use turn signals as required. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a verbal warning.
On 4/9/26, at approximately 10:01 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling eastbound from the 400 block of Main Street that was driving over the posted speed limit. The vehicle also had a Colorado license plate that expired on 1/26. The driver was contacted and was issued a Gilpin County Penalty Assessment.
On 4/9/26, at approximately 10:13 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Wild Card Casino for a suspect trying to get change on a fake motion picture $20 bill. Officers contacted the suspect and retrieved the bill.
On 4/10/26, at approximately 11:16 p.m., hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop after observing the vehicle fail to come to a complete stop at a stop sign while exiting the Horseshoe parking garage. The driver was contacted and given a verbal warning.
On 4/10/26, at approximately 11:25 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was traveling eastbound from the 400 block of Main Street, driving above the posted speed limit. A driver was contacted and was issued a Municipal Penalty Assessment.
On 4/9/26, at approximately 11:35 p.m., officers observed a vehicle make a U-turn where prohibited at the intersection of Highway 119 and Gregory Street. The driver was issued a warning.
On 4/10/26, at approximately 12:31 a.m., Black Hawk officers were on patrol at the 400 block of Main Street when officers observed a physical disturbance between a male and a female party located at the corner of Miners Road and Main Street next to the Horseshoe Casino’s second entrance. After the investigation, the female was placed into custody for DV Harassment, Criminal Impersonation, and Violation of a Protection Order with Alcohol stipulations. Officers placed the male party into custody for resisting arrest and taken to the hospital for intoxication. The male party was later released on a summons.
On 4/10/26, at approximately 1:43 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a potential stalking case. After investigation, a suspect was charged with harassment.
On 4/10/26, at approximately 4:44 a.m., an officer responded to assist the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office for a single motor vehicle accident northbound on Highway 119 and mile marker 13.5. The driver of the vehicle had left the accident scene and was believed to have fled into the surrounding woods. The driver was not located and is being investigated by the Colorado State Patrol.
On 4/10/26, at approximately 9 a.m., a Black Hawk officer posted several notices on abandoned vehicles, in the 100 block of Clear Creek Street, in violation of municipal code. A report was taken.
On 4/10/26, at approximately 1:28 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to Horseshoe Casino on a report of "movie money" being passed at the bar. Officers arrived to confirm and advised the casino that theater money is not considered counterfeit currency. Officers cleared the scene.
On 4/11/26, at approximately 8:52 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle after observing it had an expired Colorado plate from 1/26 at the intersection of Gregory and Main Streets. A driver was contacted who provided proof that they were getting it taken care of, and a verbal warning was issued.
On 4/10/26, at approximately 9:08 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing the vehicle in the left-only turn lane at the intersection of Miners Road and Main Street make an illegal right turn without using their turn signal once the officer got behind them. A driver was contacted and given a verbal warning.
On 4/10/26, at approximately 9:44 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a male individual who had a fake ID and was verbally aggressive with staff. Upon investigation, officers were able to identify the male who was underage and he was issued a Gilpin County Summons.
On 4/11/26, at approximately 11:46 p.m., officers observed a vehicle driving carelessly at the intersection of Richman Street and Highway 119. The driver was cited.
On 4/11/26, at approximately 1:51 a.m., officers responded to the Lady Luck Casino's hotel on a report of a physical disturbance. Through investigation, it was determined that the physical disturbance portion was romantic in nature as a result of a verbal altercation between both parties. There was no evidence of a crime, and the report was completed.
On 4/11/26, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Ameristar Casino regarding lost money. Surveillance video was reviewed, which determined that the money was not lost on the property.
On 4/11/26, at approximately 7 a.m., officers observed a female looking at rocks behind a gated fence against the mountain in the 100 block of Miners Road. Contact was made, she was just admiring the mountain side. Party was released from the scene, no charges.
On 4/11/26, at approximately 10:43 p.m., Black Hawk officers were requested to respond to Ameristar Casino on a report of a possible domestic violence incident. Officers arrived and conducted an investigation. Officers determined that no crime had occurred. Officers cleared the scene.
On 4/11/26, at approximately 1:43 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to Monarch Casino on a report of a physical disturbance between two male parties. Officers arrived and detained two males. Officers conducted an investigation and determined there were no charges. Both parties were released.
On 4/11/26, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to property damage that occurred at the Lady Luck parking lot. Officers arrived and collected information. Both parties are making a report to their insurance. Officers cleared the scene.
On 4/11/26, at approximately 6:29 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a female with a fake ID after the casino allowed her in. Officers spoke with the female, confiscated the fake ID, and took a report.
On 4/11/26, at approximately 7:19 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a physical disturbance. Officers arrived and detained a female and attempted to locate the associated male half. Officers spoke with both parties and confirmed that no one wanted to press charges. Officers released the female party and cleared the scene.
On 4/11/26, at approximately 8:52 p.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of intoxicated patrons on the property, one with apparent injuries. Following an investigation, it was determined that the parties were involved in a physical disturbance at the Monarch Casino. One party was arrested, and the other was transported to an area hospital.
On 4/12/26, at approximately 3:03 a.m., offices observed a vehicle driving carelessly at Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver was given a warning.
On 4/12/26, at approximately 4:19 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino in reference to a 911 hang up from a hotel room. It was determined a disturbance occurred and a domestic violence incident. A party was arrested.
On 4/12/26, at approximately 9:42 a.m., a Black Hawk officer responded to a lost phone at Monarch Casino. The phone was lost between 2 - 3 a.m. and is still missing.
On 4/12/26, at approximately 1:45 p.m., an officer took a phone report of a damaged vehicle at the Ameristar Casino. An investigation is ongoing and a report was completed.
On 4/12/26, at approximately 3:15 p.m., officers responded to assist medical at the Monarch Casino. Drug paraphernalia was seized from a subject, and they were trespassed from Monarch property after refusing medical care. A report was completed.
On 4/12/26, at approximately 6:04 p.m., an officer responded to Vernon Drive in Central City to assist Gilpin County Sheriff's Office and EMS/Fire on a medical call. A report was completed.
On 4/12/26, at approximately 8:57 p.m., Black Hawk officers were on an area check at Ameristar Casino parking garage level 5 on a public urination observation. Male party was given a verbal warning.
On 4/12/26, at approximately 10:15 p.m., an officer witnessed a vehicle driving down Main Street with no license plates. A traffic stop was initiated at 340 Main Street. The driver of the vehicle had just been given the vehicle and had all documentation. A verbal warning was given.
On 4/12/26, at approximately 8:23 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to Ameristar Casino on a missing person call. Investigation is still ongoing.
On 4/13/26, at approximately 1:13 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for a report of a trespass. The individual was issued a Gilpin County Summons and left the property.
On 4/13/26, at approximately 11:59 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of expired license plates occurring at Gregory Street and Main Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.
On 4/13/26, a Black Hawk officer took a phone report regarding a stolen cell phone from the Monarch Casino. The case will remain active for further investigation.
On 4/13/26, at approximately 5:41 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for displaying an unreadable temporary registration at Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.
On 4/13/26, at approximately 8:09 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for careless driving occurring at 6000 Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.
On 4/13/26, at approximately 6:23 p.m,. an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no number plates displayed occurring at Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.
On 4/13/26, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to Monarch Casino on a lost property call. The reporting party found his phone in his car.
On 4/14/26, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino to investigate a 911 call. An investigation determined that a physical disturbance occurred between a male and a female. The female was arrested for harassment, domestic violence and taken to Gilpin County Jail.
On 4/14/26, at approximately 2:20 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of expired plates occurring at 6000 Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.
On 4/14/26, at approximately 7:42 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of an expired temporary registration occurring at Highway 119 and Miners Road. The driver was issued a summons and a report was completed.
On 4/14/26, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound Highway 119 with no plates. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at mile marker 5.8. Upon contacting the driver and passenger, the passenger of the vehicle advised me that they think they have insurance for the vehicle. While officers spoke to the male party, the male party stated he had lost his wallet. The male party was transported by medics to the hospital. After the officers' investigation of the wallet, the wallet was considered lost property.
On 4/17/26, at approximately 12:01 a.m., officers observed a vehicle with defective brake lights in the 200 block of Richman Street. The officer stopped the vehicle and issued a warning.

On 4/19/26, a Black Hawk officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a party claiming to have shot somebody and stating that they were going to shoot up the casino floor. It was later discovered that the party was making the phone call from an online number.

Officers tried to initiate a traffic stop, but the vehicle failed to pull over with emergency lights and sirens activated. The vehicle was grappled by Colorado State Patrol at mile marker 270. The driver was arrested and transported to the Gilpin County Jail. A report was taken.

Officers were directed to the 14th floor of the hotel, where they met with the victim. After a thorough investigation, officers arrested a male subject for domestic violence - assault.

Officers searched the area and were advised that the other officers had spoken with the caller via phone. Officers then arranged to meet the caller and to confirm she was ok and did not need police assistance.

Once on scene, two individuals were detained and later determined to be siblings. Upon further investigation, no charges were filed, and a report was completed.
On 4/25/26, at approximately 10:55 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to Monarch Casino on a missing person call. The missing party was able to be located.
On 4/25/26, at approximately 3:12 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for a disturbance, where a female suspect had thrown a beer bottle at another casino guest. Upon arrival, officers located and detained the female suspect. After the investigation, officers issued the suspect a summons for harassment, and the suspect was transported to the hospital by paramedics due to high levels of intoxication.
On 4/25/26, at approximately 6:40 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of two parties fighting near the elevators. Parties were separated and neither wished to press charges. Both were trespassed from the Monarch Casino by security.
On 4/25/26, at approximately 5:58 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to Ameristar Casino on a disturbance call. Male party was charged with harassment and DV.
On 4/25/26, at approximately 11:03 p.m., officers observed a vehicle in the 6300 block of Highway 119 southbound following too closely and failing to use signal when changing lanes. The driver was stopped and given a warning.
On 4/25/26, at approximately 10:53 p.m., officers responded to Ameristar Casino on report of a lost cell phone. Officers contacted the cell phone's owner, obtained the necessary information, and ultimately cleared the scene pending further action.
On 4/26/26, 3:33 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino to assist the Colorado Division of Gaming regarding a TITO ticket theft. Upon arrival, the suspect ran from the officers when they attempted to contact the individual. The suspect was later located sleeping in another casino and issued a municipal summons for obstruction. The Colorado Division of Gaming will be following up on the initial gaming crime.
On 4/26/26, at approximately 4:07 a.m., officers were walking through Lodge Casino when a guest reported a theft of a voucher at a slot machine. Officers conducted an initial investigation to assist the Colorado Division Of Gaming and ultimately cleared the scene pending further investigation.
On 4/26/26, at approximately 9:17 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driving southbound on Highway 119 at mile marker 6 for driving with no headlights. The driver was issued a verbal warning.
On 4/26/26, at approximately 9:35 p.m., an officer conducted a motorist assist on a vehicle that had pulled off on the shoulder of Highway 119 at mile marker 5.8 that had activated their hazard lights. Upon contacting the driver, the officer noticed an open container of an alcoholic beverage. The driver was cleared through dispatch and had two warrants and was ultimately arrested on DUI and his warrants.
On 4/27/26, at approximately 12:54 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle turning right onto Gregory Street from Main Street and disregarded the traffic control device. The driver was issued a Municipal Summons.
On 4/27/26, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle with no headlights or tail lights on at the intersection of Gregory Street and Main Street. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at the Monarch Casino bus turn around. A summons was issued.
On 4/27/26, Black Hawk officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a trespass party. A summons was issued and a report was taken.
On 4/27/26, at approximately 2:29 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display number plates. The driver provided valid registration and was released with a warning.
On 4/27/26, at approximately 2:39 p.m. Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Hotel for a report of found drugs. The suspected drugs were taken into custody by officers and there are currently no suspects. A report was completed.
On 4/27/26, at approximately 4:12 p.m., Black Hawk officers were advised by Denver officers of a domestic violence incident that occurred on 4/21/26. Officers were also advised of an unrelated criminal act involving the theft of a car from Denver's jurisdiction and that the suspect was possibly traveling to the City of Black Hawk. Officers attempted to locate the vehicle without success and attempted to follow up with the victim without success. This case is open and actively being investigated.
On 4/27/26, at approximately 7:51 p.m., Black Hawk officers were called to the Lodge Casino on a trespassed party. The party was issued a municipal summons for trespass and released. The party was uncooperative throughout the duration of contact.
On 4/27/26, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling northbound Highway 119 mile marker 6 with no license plate. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the Monarch Casino overflow lot. A verbal warning was issued due to Officers getting dispatched to another call.
On 4/27/26, at approximately 11:22 a.m., an officer was on a routine patrol, when they noticed a vehicle turn right onto Richman Street from northbound Highway 119 that did not have a license plate. A traffic stop was conducted; the driver was issued a summons.
On 4/28/26, at approximately 2:38 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino for a report of a trespass. Upon arrival, it was determined that the individual identified was not trespassing but was cleared with a warrant. They were transported to the Gilpin County Jail.
On 4/28/26, Black Hawk officers responded to a report of a female party who urinated in the Horseshoe Casino hotel lobby elevator. An arrest was made and a report was taken.
On 4/28/26, at approximately 12:45 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Lady Luck open parking lot on a report of a traffic accident on private property. One of the involved drivers was issued a summons for no proof of insurance.
On 4/28/26, at approximately 6:31 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino for an intoxicated male. The male was released to the care of Gilpin Ambulance and transported to for medical care.
On 4/28/26, at approximately 11:07 p.m., an officer noticed a vehicle traveling southbound Highway 119 at mile marker 5.8 without any headlights. A traffic stop was conducted at mile marker 5.5; the driver was given a verbal warning.

On 4/29/26, at approximately 1:49 a.m., an officer observed a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 119 with a driver side headlight out. A traffic stop was conducted. The driver of the vehicle had a warrant and was transported to jail.
On 4/29/26, at approximately 5:40 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on the report of two individuals attempting to use two stolen credit cards. Credit cards were confirmed to be stolen, and the suspects were arrested.
On 4/29/26, at approximately 1:05 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Main Street and Miners Road in the City of Black Hawk for a trailer with no visible registration. The driver was issued a warning.
On 4/29/26, at approximately 1:18 p.m., a Black Hawk officer responded to the Ameristar Casino for a fraudulent act. The suspect was located and later arrested, and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.
On 4/29/26, at approximately 7:05 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop for a driver failing to use their turn signal and failure to yield right-of-way for pedestrians in the crosswalk at Gregory Street and Main Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning.
On 4/29/26, at 8:51 p.m., officers responded to a welfare check at the Monarch Casino. The party was transported to Lutheran Hospital.
On 4/29/26, at approximately 9:23 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was stopped in an intersection at Richman and when traveling west on Richman and Main Street, disregarded a traffic control device turning left onto Main Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning for the intersection violation and issued a municipal summons for the traffic control device.
On 4/29/26, at approximately 10:27 p.m., an officer observed a vehicle traveling southbound Highway 119 at mile marker 5.8 without headlights on. A traffic stop was conducted at mile marker 5.5; the driver was given a verbal warning.
On 4/29/26, at approximately 10:58 p.m. officers responded to Horseshoe Casino's hotel on report of a disturbance taking place. Officers spoke with all involved parties. Each party involved told officers they were not pursuing charges. Ultimately a female party was transported to Gilpin County Jail for a warrant out of Clear Creek County and later released at a hospital due to her level of intoxication. No further actions were taken.
On 4/30/26, at approximately 8:02 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a flagged account. The individual had a warrant for their arrest, and was arrested. During a search incident to arrest counterfeit money, narcotics, and credit cards belonging to others were located and seized.
