 On 5/1/25, at approximately 1:24 p.m., deputies responded to the Grand Z Casino on a report of a theft. A report was taken.

On 5/1/25, at approximately 2:30 p.m., deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident located at the intersection of Gold Road and Highway 119, Black Hawk. An injured party was transported to the hospital. The Colorado State Highway Patrol took over the accident.

On 5/2/25, at approximately 12:44 p.m., deputies were dispatched to 2170 Apex Valley Road, Central City, for found property. Deputies were further advised the property was a firearm. The firearm was collected and a report completed.

On 5/2/25, at approximately 1:41 p.m., deputies responded to the 500 block of Upper Apex Valley Road for a suspicious item. A report was taken.

On 5/2/25, at the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office, a set of license plates were logged into evidence as found property.

On 5/2/25, deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 46 and Dory Hill Road. A report was later taken.

On 5/4/25, at approximately 9:55 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the 400 block of Main Street, Black Hawk, to assist the Black Hawk Police Department.

On 5/4/25, at approximately 12:32 a.m., deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on a driveway in unincorporated Gilpin County. A suspect was later arrested for driving under the influence.

On 5/5/25, at approximately 1:45 p.m., a deputy located an active, valid warrant for a current Gilpin County inmate. The inmate was booked and processed into the Gilpin County Detention Facility. A report was later completed.

On 5/5/25, at 4:41 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the area of southbound Highway 119 near milepost 1.5, in unincorporated Gilpin County, in reference to a kidnapping. Deputies made contact with the vehicle in the parking lot of the Z Stop gas station. Investigation disclosed there was no kidnapping.

On 5/6/25, at approximately 1:04 a.m., deputies were dispatched near the 100 block of Lawrence Street, Central City, regarding found drugs. A report was made.

On 5/6/25, at approximately 11 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a motor vehicle collision, property damage only, located at mile marker 22, Highway 119, in unincorporated Gilpin County. A report was made and the investigation turned over to The Colorado State Patrol.

On 5/7/25, at approximately 10:26 a.m., deputies responded to a motor vehicle collision located at mile marker 3.5 on Highway 119, Black Hawk, in unincorporated Gilpin County. Two individuals were transported to area hospitals and a report was made. The accident investigation was turned over.

On 5/7/25, at approximately 12:28 a.m., an active, valid warrant was discovered for a person presently incarcerated at the Gilpin County Jail. The person was arrested and processed into the Gilpin County Jail on the warrant.

On 5/7/25, at approximately 11:57 a.m., deputies took a report on a cold theft in the 100 block of Crest View Drive.

On 5/8/25, at approximately 8:15 a.m., a deputy was asked to assist an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department in the Gilpin County Jail.

On 5/9/25, at approximately 3:14 a.m., a person experiencing incarceration threw an unknown liquid substance onto a deputy's face. No charges were filed, jail sanctions were issued, and a report was taken.

On 5/9/25, at approximately 5:49 a.m., deputies responded emergent to a high risk traffic stop by Colorado State Patrol, located at mile marker 1 on Highway 119, Black Hawk. A report was taken.

On 5/10/25, at approximately 8:35 a.m., deputies from the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office responded to a request for emergent cover from Gilpin Ambulance Authority medics on scene of an unknown medical call located at the 17000 block of Highway 119, in unincorporated Gilpin County.

On 5/10/25, at 11:05 p.m., deputies and medical personnel responded to the 1300 block of Lodge Pole Drive, in unincorporated Gilpin County, regarding a gunshot wound. Investigation disclosed that the incident was accidental and there was no criminal activity. A report was completed.

On 5/12/25, at approximately 11:49 a.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a white Subaru Outback at mile marker 4.5, Highway 119, Black Hawk. The driver had a warrant for his arrest. The driver was placed into custody and booked into Gilpin County Jail.

On 5/12/25, at approximately 12:22 a.m., deputies responded to the Gilpin County Community Center located at 250 Norton Drive, Black Hawk, for a motor vehicle accident without injuries. A supplemental report was later completed.

On 5/12/25, deputies responded to the Dragon Tiger Casino, located at 132 Lawrence Street, Central City, for a fraudulent bill. A report was later written.

On 5/13/25, at approximately 5:04 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a theft that occurred at the 8000 block of Virginia Canyon Road, Central City. A report was taken.

On 5/14/25, at approximately 11:19 a.m., deputies responded to the Grand Z parking garage on a report of a cold hit and run. A report was taken and the investigation is ongoing.

On 5/14/25, at approximately 11:55 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a vehicle fire located at 802 Mack Road, Central City. An investigation was conducted, a report was made and charges were not pursued.

On 5/15/25, at approximately 4:43 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 1000 block of Central City Parkway, on a report of an accident and unknown injuries. An arrest was made and a crash report was taken.

On 5/15/25, at approximately 5:42 p.m., a deputy found a residence with an open front door and another open door to the detached garage located at 616 Chalet Drive, Black Hawk. The deputy cleared the structure and was able to locate an identified resident.

On 5/15/25, at approximately 6:20 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a disturbance located at the 200 block of Feldspar Road, in unincorporated Gilpin County. An arrest was made and a report was taken.

On 5/15/25, at approximately 7:20 p.m., a deputy was investigating a disturbance located at the 200 block of Feldspar Road, in unincorporated Gilpin County. Upon clearing an involved party, they came back violating a protection order. An arrest was made and a report was taken.

On 5/15/25, at approximately 11:37 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a harassment call for service located at 2960 Dory Hill Road, Black Hawk. A report was made.

On 5/17/25, deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash on the Central City Parkway. A report was later taken.

On 5/18/25, at approximately 12:23 a.m., Gilpin County deputies assisted Black Hawk Police Department officers on an alleged disturbance in progress in a hotel room. Deputies provided scene security while Black Hawk Police Department officers conducted their investigation.

On 5/18/25, at approximately 3:40 a.m., deputies from the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office were requested to assist officers from the Black Hawk Police Department on a disturbance in a hotel lobby.

On 5/18/25, at approximately 7:51 a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance located at 200 Saw Horse Lane, Black Hawk. A report was taken.

On 5/18/25, deputies responded to the Grand Z Casino located at 321 Gregory Street, Central City, for a suspicious substance. A report was later taken.

On 5/18/25, deputies responded to approximately mile marker 16.5 on Highway 119, for suspicious activity. A report was later taken.

On 5/18/25, at around 3 p.m., a visitor was found to have an active protection order with one of the inmates who had been contacting her by phone from inside the jail.

On 5/19/25, at approximately 12:18 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a civil issue near the 1500 block of Coal Creek Canyon Road.

5/19/25, deputies responded to the KOA campground in Central City located at 605 Lake Gulch Road, Central City, for a trespass. A female party had a warrant and was later arrested for a warrant.

On 5/20/25, at approximately 4:10 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to mile marker 6, Highway 119, Black Hawk, to assist the Colorado State Patrol. An individual was transported to the Gilpin County Detention Center on charges and a report was made.

On 5/21/25, at approximately 4:30 p.m., an in-custody party was booked into the Gilpin County Jail on an outstanding active, valid warrant. A report was later completed.

On 5/22/25, at approximately noon, a deputy took a report on a possible protection order violation.

On 5/22/25, at approximately 8:40 a.m., deputies responded to the County Courts area to take a crash report.

On 5/22/25, at approximately 4:45 p.m., deputies responded to the 900 block of High Point Circle on a report of a disturbance. Summons were issued and a report was taken.

On 5/22/25, at approximately 6:20 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a criminal mischief located at the 1300 block of Highway 119, Black Hawk. A report was taken.

On 5/22/25, a deputy took a call of a party dumping wood over a guardrail on Highway 72. A report was made.

On 5/22/25, at approximately 8:02 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop near mile marker 2.0 of Highway 119, in unincorporated Gilpin County. It was discovered that the driver had an active warrant for their arrest. The driver was arrested without issue and a report was taken.

On 5/23/25, deputies responded to 6073 Virginia Canyon Road for a dog issue. A report was later taken.

On 5/23/25, at 2 p.m., jail staff responded to an intoxicated individual in the detention facility, a report was later made.

On 5/23/25, at approximately 5:10 p.m., a deputy responded to the report of a dog bite at the Grand-Z Casino, located at 321 Gregory Street, Central City. A report was taken.

On 5/24/25, at approximately 10:48 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to 2700 Church Placer Road, in unincorporated Gilpin County, on a report of signs and gates being taken down. A report was completed.

On 5/25/25, at approximately 8:01 a.m., deputies responded to the Bonanza Casino located at 107 Main Street, Central City, for a violation of protection order. A report was later taken.

On 5/26/25, at approximately 11:30 p.m., deputies attempted to perform a traffic stop in Central City.

On 5/27/25, at 1:51 p.m., a male party walked into the Gilpin Sheriff’s Office lobby to report a crime of mail theft. He was referred to contact the postal inspectors and a report was taken.

On 5/27/25, at approximately 3:48 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to an assault that occurred at 101 Gregory Street, Black Hawk. No charges were filed. A report was made by the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office.

On 5/27/25, at approximately 10:22 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a disturbance located at the 300 block of Raptor Point, in unincorporated Gilpin County. A report was taken.

On 5/28/25, at approximately 7:20 a.m., deputies responded to the 300 block of Raptor Point on a report of a disturbance. A report was taken and parties were separated.

On 5/28/25, at approximately 8:14 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Crest View Drive, Black Hawk. A report was made.

On 5/29/25, at approximately 5:23 a.m., deputies, while attempting to leave the scene of a camping violation near the 300 block of Gregory Street, Central City, collided against a concrete barrier causing damage to county property. A report was made.

On 5/29/25, at approximately 8:14 a.m., deputies responded to a dangerous dog disturbance involving an aggressive dog at Annie Oakley's Emporium, located at 135 Nevada Street, Central City. The suspect was found to have multiple warrants. The suspect received new charges and was jailed on his warrants. 

On 5/30/25, at approximately 6:32 p.m., a deputy responded to the report of fraud at the Century Casino, located at 102 Main Street, Central City. A report was taken.

On 5/30/25, at approximately 7:45 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a vehicle fire located at mile marker 6.5 on the Central City Parkway. A report was taken.

On 5/30/25, at approximately 10:43 p.m., deputies were dispatched to report of a suspicious situation involving a lock on a gate.

On 5/30/25, deputies were dispatched to an alleged violation of protection order in the 90th block of South Dory Lakes Drive.

On 5/31/25, at approximately 11:25 a.m., deputies were dispatched to mile marker 5 of Highway 119, Black Hawk, to assist Colorado State Patrol. Two individuals were arrested and booked.

On 5/31/25, deputies were dispatched to reports of a death in the 20th block of Pinon Circle in unincorporated Gilpin County.
