On 7/1/25, at approximately 2:47 p.m., a deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the 100 block of Missouri Gulch Road, Black Hawk, when the driver eluded law enforcement. Charges were filed and an application for a warrant was conducted. A report was taken.

On 7/3/25, a deputy took a report of a cold harassment. The case was reported for information purposes. No charges have been filed.  

On 7/4/25, at approximately 10:20 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of mile marker 15, Highway 119, in unincorporated Gilpin County. A male party was arrested for DUI. A report was completed. 

On 7/4/25, at approximately 2:13 p.m., deputies were dispatched for fraudulent money 

to the 100 block of Eureka Street, Central City. A report was taken. 

On 7/4/25, at approximately 6:44 p.m., deputies took a phone report of a theft near the 1500 block of Bald Mountain Lane, in unincorporated Gilpin County. 

On 7/4/25, at approximately 8:12 p.m., a male called into the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office and wanted a report taken for a civil issue.  

On 7/4/25, at approximately 9:30 p.m., an individual arrived at the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office lobby to turn themselves into custody on an active warrant. The individual was booked into the Gilpin County Jail without further incident.  

On 7/5/25, at approximately 8 a.m., deputies were dispatched for a disturbance in progress in the 400 block of Powder Run Drive, Central City. A report was taken. 

On 7/5/25, at approximately 9:21 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with injuries, located at 213 Eureka Street, Central City. A report was complete.

On 7/5/25, at approximately 4:38 p.m., deputies responded to the 100 block of Rudolph Ranch Road in unincorporated Gilpin County, for a report of a cold trespass.  

On 7/5/25, a deputy stopped a vehicle for speeding on the Central City Parkway, Gilpin County. The driver of the vehicle was later arrested on the investigation of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs or Both. The party was issued a summons and Notice of Revocation. A report was made. 

On 7/5/25, at approximately 7:26 p.m., a deputy observed a two-car traffic accident on Highway 119 and Richman Street, Black Hawk. Since the accident occurred within the city of Black Hawk, the Black Hawk Police Department was notified and they responded to take a report.

On 7/6/25, at approximately 2 a.m., an inmate that was being relocated between two cells in the Gilpin County Jail, became non-compliant and threw two mattresses and a laundry bag. 

On 7/6/25, at approximately 11:47 a.m., deputies were dispatched to assist Colorado State Patrol on a traffic stop. A report was made.

On 7/6/25, at 7:22 p.m., deputies were dispatched to mile post 4.5, Highway 119, unincorporated Gilpin County, on the report of a rollover traffic accident with a party trapped inside. Troopers from the 

Colorado State Patrol also responded and investigated the accident. Deputies provided traffic control. 

On 7/6/25, at approximately 11:35 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a report of a crash in the 800 block of South Beaver Creek Road, unincorporated Gilpin County. 

On 7/7/25, at approximately 5:14 p.m., deputies responded to a single vehicle rollover accident near the 2500 block of Highway 119, unincorporated Gilpin County. 

On 7/8/25, at approximately 7:13 a.m., a deputy assisted the Colorado State Patrol at the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office, located at 2960 Dory Hill Road, Black Hawk. A report was made. 

On 7/8/25, a deputy took a report for a follow up incident regarding the Gilpin Ambulance Authority over the phone at 2960 Dory Hill Road, Gilpin County. The follow up was for a previous incident regarding the Gilpin Ambulance station located at 495 Apex Valley Road in Gilpin County. A report was later written. 

On 7/8/25, deputies responded to a possible disturbance. After further investigation, a stolen vehicle was recovered and a male was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail. 

On 7/8/25, at approximately 9:40 a.m., a deputy was dispatched for a possible Driver Under the Influence located on Casey Street in Central City. A report was made.   

On 7/9/25, at approximately 10:50 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a theft at Coyote Liquors, located at 5312 Highway 119, Black Hawk. A report was made.  

On 7/9/25, at approximately 7 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at approximately mile marker 1, Highway 46, Gilpin County. A report was made. 

On 7/10/25, a bicycle was found in the 3700 block of the Central City Parkway. The bicycle was booked into evidence for safekeeping. 

On 7/10/25, at approximately 10 a.m., a deputy was dispatched for a civil standby located at 310 East 1st High Street, Central City. Due to volatile behavior, a report was made to document the incident. No criminal charges were pursued.  

On 7/10/25, a fraud report was taken over the phone. The case is active and still under investigation.  

On 7/11/25, at approximately 8:49 p.m., deputies responded to mile marker 5.8 Highway 119, in

unincorporated Gilpin County, to interview a witness to a possible disturbance. The witness 

was interviewed but no one involved in the disturbance was located. A report was completed.

On 7/12/25, deputies responded to a disturbance in the 400 block of Foxtail Circle, Black Hawk. 

A party was arrested and a report was made. 

On 7/12/25, at approximately 10:53 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a phone report of a 

dog issue, located in the 200 block of Athena Road, Black Hawk. A report was taken.

On 7/13/25, at approximately 3 p.m., deputies were dispatched to reports of found drugs in the 300 block of Gregory Street, Central City. 

On 7/13/25, at approximately 7:44 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the area of Lump Gulch Road for reports of a traffic complaint.

On 7/13/25, at approximately 8:10 p.m., a deputy assisted Clear Creek Sheriff's Office with a warrant transport to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 7/13/25, at 9:19 p.m., a deputy responded to the intersection of 22nd and Colorado, in Idaho Springs, to assist a police officer who was fighting a person who was armed with a screwdriver. Upon arrival, the deputy provided assistance. A report was completed. 

On 7/14/25, at approximately 9:49 a.m., deputies were dispatched for a phone report in the 100 block of Lawrence Street in Central City for a motor vehicle accident, property damage only. A report was taken. 

On 7/14/25, at approximately 9:29 a.m., a deputy was dispatched for a fraud report located at 2960 Dory Hill Road, Black Hawk. The reporting party, a resident of Gilpin County, wished to remain anonymous and a report was made.  

On 7/14/25, at approximately 10:25 a.m., deputies responded to an incident involving a passenger train and a truck located in the 3900 block of South Beaver Creek Road, in unincorporated Gilpin County. A report was made and the investigation was turned over to the Colorado State Patrol.  

On 7/14/25, at approximately 12:40 p.m., deputies responded to a Citizen Assist located at 425 Foxtail Circle, Black Hawk. A report was made for documentation.  

On 7/14/25, at approximately 5:29 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a fraud that occurred at the 100 block of Apollo Drive in Black Hawk. A report was taken.

On 7/14/25, at approximately 7 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance near mile marker 1 on Highway 119. A report was made. 

On 7/16/25, at approximately 3 a.m., deputies responded emergent to mile marker 6 on Highway 119, Black Hawk, at the request of Black Hawk Police. A report was made.

On 7/16/25, at approximately 10:30 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to an abandoned vehicle located at 104 Casey Street, Central City. The vehicle was towed, and the registered owner cited. A report was made.  

On 7/16/25, at approximately 10:35 a.m., a deputy towed an abandoned vehicle in front of 106 Casey Street in Gilpin County. A report was later written.

On 7/16/25, a deputy took a report for property damage to a motor vehicle that occurred at 124 Eureka Street, the Central City Opera House. 

On 7/17/25, a deputy took a report over the phone for a fraud incident that occurred at 158 Rudy Lane, Gilpin County. A report was later written. 

On 7/17/25, at approximately 12:09 p.m., a deputy responded to the Grand Z Casino parking garage located at 321 Gregory Street, Gilpin County, for an attempted vehicle break in. A report was later written. 

On 7/19/25, a crash was reported on the 7000 block of Central City Parkway, Central City. A report was completed. 

On 7/19/25, at approximately 1:45 p.m., an in-custody party was booked into the Gilpin County Jail on an outstanding active, valid warrant. A report was later completed. 

On 7/20/25, at approximately 12:24 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to 420 Bobtail Hill Circle, Central City, on a report of a dog bite. A report was completed. 

On 7/22/25, the courts informed the jail of a remanded female party. An officer placed that party under arrest and a report was taken. 

On 7/22/25, deputies responded to 310 East First High Street in Gilpin County for a disturbance. A report was later written.

On 7/23/25, an  individual was charged with Reckless Endangerment, Criminal Mischief, and Second Degree Criminal Tampering. The party was placed under arrest and a report was taken.

On 7/23/25, at approximately 7:35 p.m., Gilpin County deputies attempted to secure an inmate in the detention facility, located at 2960 Dory Road, resulting in an altercation and use of force. Charges were filed. 

On 7/23/25, an inmate was charged with Introducing Contraband in the Second Degree. A deputy placed that party under arrest and a report was taken. 

On 7/24/25, at approximately 7:30 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a possible unexploded ordinance located at approximately 1595 Bald Mountain Lane, Central City. The device was rendered safe and a report was made.

On 7/25/25, a deputy responded to the Century Casino in regards to found property. The property was booked for safekeeping and a report was made.  

On 7/26/25, at approximately 3:34 p.m., deputies responded to the 400 block of Lawrence Street for reports of a motor vehicle accident with injury.  

On 7/26/25, at approximately 5:18 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Highway 119 near milepost 5.5 on the report of an injury traffic accident. The deputy assisted troopers from the Colorado State Patrol. 

On 7/28/25, at approximately 9:23 p.m., a deputy was assisting with locating an injury motor vehicle accident at the approximate location of Gilpin and Lump Gulch Roads. While attempting to locate the accident in question, a deputy observed a blue, four-door Subaru, with heavy front end damage, pass at a high rate of speed. 

On 7/29/25, at approximately 8:29 a.m., deputies responded to the 3300 block of South Beaver Creek Road in Gilpin County, for an abandoned vehicle. A female party was later contacted and arrested for a warrant.  

On 7/31/25, at approximately 5:30 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a suspicious vehicle located at mile marker 15, Highway 119, in unincorporated Gilpin County. A report was taken.  

On 7/31/25, at approximately 6:37 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a civil issue located at Blackhawk Pizza, 5312 Highway 119, in unincorporated Gilpin County. A report was taken.
