On 1/1/26, at approximately 12:09 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driving northbound on Highway 119, failing to maintain lane. The driver was issued a verbal warning.


On 1/1/26, at approximately 12:25 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound on Main Street., which failed to yield. The driver was issued a warning.


On 1/1/26, at approximately 12:41 a.m., an officer responded to the Monarch Casino regarding a guest pulling a knife on another guest on the casino floor. All occupants involved were contacted, and a suspect was arrested. The suspect was transported to the Gilpin County Jail, and a report was completed.


On 1/1/26, at approximately 2:52 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino, for a report of damaged property. The individuals involved will be handling it civilly; no further actions were taken.


On 1/1/26, at approximately 6 a.m., the Black Hawk Police responded to the Horseshoe Casino, for an ID check that was possibly fraudulent. The suspect was contacted and issued a Black Hawk municipal summons and released.


On 1/1/26, at approximately 6:59 a.m., officers were dispatched to 401 Main Street on the report of a lost cell phone. A report was taken.


On 1/1/26, an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino for a reported theft. Upon completion of the investigation, the suspect was located and issued a summons for the incident.


On 01/1/26, at approximately 12:19 p.m., officers located a vehicle in the Monarch Parking Garage with an attempt to locate request by Aurora Police Department. The vehicle was towed per their request.


On 1/1/26, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino for a theft of cash. Upon arrival at the scene and further investigation, a report was taken.


On 1/1/26, at approximately 4:09 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino, on a report of a disturbance in progress. Upon investigation, a suspect was identified and issued a Municipal Summons for harassment and damage to a vehicle.


On 1/1/26, at approximately 6:52 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of an active physical disturbance. Upon investigation, two suspects ran and were later contacted by officers. The two females were placed into custody on new charges, and one of the females had a warrant.


On 1/1/26, at approximately 8:22 p.m., officers were at the Monarch Casino, when an individual walked up and stated that they had a civil protection order in place and that the restrained person was on the property. Upon further investigation, no crime was committed, and a report was completed.


On 1/1/26, at approximately 8:36 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino for property damage to a vehicle that was parked in valet parking. After investigation, Officers were unable to determine that the vehicle was damaged on the property. This case will be unfounded


On 1/1/26, at approximately 9:11 p.m., Black Hawk officers were on patrol on Highway 119 and Richman Street, when officers noticed a state street sign that had been hit at the intersection in the median. After the investigation, officers were not able to determine the vehicle and driver's information.


On 1/1/26, at approximately 10:50 p.m., an officer was performing an area check of the B&C Coffee shop located at 7320 Black Hawk Boulevard, when they encountered an unlocked door leading into the closed business. The officer cleared the shop, making sure nothing was missing, damaged, or tampered with. The key holder and owner of the B&C was contacted, who arrived and secured the business.

On 1/2/26, at approximately 12:42 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 119 with no visible plate. The driver was issued a verbal warning.


On 1/2/26, at approximately 12:35 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Black Hawk Police Department for an assist to the Division of Gaming for a Tito theft from Bally's North Casino. Officers took the victim's information.


On 1/2/26, at approximately 3:11 a.m, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino for an assist to the Division of Gaming for a gaming crime of pinching bets. Officers contacted the suspect and gathered his information.


On 1/2/26, at approximately 3:52 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle making a left turn onto Highway 119, which had expired temporary tags. The driver was issued a Gilpin County Summons.


On 1/2/26, at approximately 6:36 a.m., officers were on an area check at 401 Main Street, when they located a suspicious vehicle. Upon running the plate, it came back as fictitious. The plate was seized.


On 1/2/26, at approximately 10:37 a.m., officers observed a vehicle with no registration in front of Bally's West Casino. The vehicle was stopped, and the driver was given a warning.


On 1/2/26, at approximately 12:03 p.m.,  officers were on a routine patrol when they noticed a vehicle with one working taillight. A traffic stop was conducted, and the party was released with a verbal warning.


On 1/2/26, at approximately 11:55 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino for a phone theft. Upon investigation, there were two victims of theft. One of the victims was taken to Gilpin County Jail for multiple warrants, Two suspects, who allegedly took a cellphone, were issued summonses.


On 1/2/26, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for an assist to the Division of Gaming. Officers collected necessary information and referred it to the appropriate agency.


On 1/3/26, at approximately 10:02 hours, officers responded to the Monarch Casino to assist a private fugitive recovery in locating a wanted individual with numerous warrants. With the help of the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office and the Colorado Division of Gaming, the wanted individual was located, taken into custody without incident, and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.


On 1/3/26, at approximately 12:56 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the corner of Miners and Richman for a welfare check. Upon arrival, the individual was incoherent and verbally aggressive. Officers placed the subject into protective custody, and he was later transported to the hospital.


On 1/3/26, at approximately 1:55 a.m., a male individual flagged down an officer at the intersection of Richman and Main Streets to express his frustration with the Lodge Casino after he was escorted off the property. Upon further investigation, the male individual was deemed to be intoxicated by casino staff. When he was being escorted off, he got into a shoving match with another male in his group. A report was taken.


On 1/3/26, at approximately 6:42 a.m., officers were on an Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) sweep at 401 Main Street, when they noticed a suspicious vehicle. One party was cleared through dispatch.


On 1/3/26, at approximately 12:35 p.m., officers took a report of a potential criminal trespass to a motor vehicle that occurred on 1/1/26, at approximately 5:43 a.m.


On 1/3/26, at approximately 1:03 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino, in reference to stolen property of $400. After reviewing surveillance, officers were able to locate the suspect and issue a summons for theft.


On 1/3/26 at approximately 1:04 p.m., officers took a report in regard to a theft of property that occurred at 333 Main Street on 1/1/26.

On 1/3/26, at approximately 9:38 p.m.,  Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a vehicle that side swiped a utility trailer. An informational report was taken.


On 1/3/26, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling northbound on Main Street, with blue headlights. The driver was issued a verbal warning and instructed to change the lights.


On 1/3/26, at approximately 11:53 p.m., Black Hawk officers were flagged down at the Monarch Casino for a potential harassment. The case is currently under investigation and will remain active.


On 1/4/26, at approximately 1:18 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a disturbance on floor 11 of the Ameristar Casino hotel, between a male and female party, where the female was screaming, “Let me go.”  Upon arrival, officers located the room. Once the Officers separated both parties, the male party was taken into custody and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.

On 1/4/26, at approximately 2:41 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino for a possible kidnapping that occurred in the garage. Upon further investigation, the suspected victim was seen on surveillance footage leaving the casino willingly. A report was taken.


On 1/4/26, at approximately 4:00 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for a report of harassment.


On 1/4/26, at approximately 4:54 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino to investigate a 911 investigation. An individual called 911, crying before the line disconnected. Upon further investigation, the individual who called 911 was identified and located in their hotel room, expressing a medical emergency. Medics from Gilpin County Ambulance were notified. A field interview (FI) report was completed.

On 1/4/26, at approximately 5:56 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that ran the stop sign at the intersection of Miners Mesa Road and Bobtail. The driver was issued a municipal summons.

On 1/4/26, at approximately 8:10 a.m., officers performed a traffic stop on Highway 119, mile marker 6 for a driver who failed to turn in a turn only lane on Highway 119 and Gregory Street. Officers gave a verbal warning and cleared the scene at approximately 8:21 a.m., with a report.

On 1/4/26, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report that drugs were found on the gaming floor. Officers recovered the found drugs to be booked into evidence for destruction. Officers cleared the scene and took a report.

On 1/4/26, at approximately 11:26 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for unauthorized green accessory lights occurring at 6000 Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 1/4/26, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle on the roadway without license plates. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but lost visual of the vehicle due to it pulling into the Lady Luck parking lot. Officers eventually made contact with the driver and advised them of the lack of plates on the vehicle. Officers issued a warning and cleared the scene.

On 1/5/26, at approximately 12:54 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no license plates displayed occurring at 6000 Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.

On 1/5/26, at approximately 2:01 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Hotel on a report of a disturbance. Two parties were contacted and, after an investigation, no criminal charges were found. 


On 1/5/26, an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of damaged property. A suspect was later found and charged with criminal mischief.


On 1/5/26, at approximately 5:59 p.m., an officer initiated a traffic stop on Highway 119 and Richman Street for a vehicle that made a turn from the wrong lane. The driver of the vehicle was given a warning and released.


On 1/5/26, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle on the roadway that had green flashing lights on the front of its vehicle. Officers recalled that this vehicle was stopped for the same reason the night prior and given a warning. Officers issued a Penalty Assessment and cleared the scene.


On 1/5/26, at approximately 11:09 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display headlamps occurring at the 400 block of Main Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.


On 1/6/26, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to 488 Main Street on a report of possible harassment. Officers arrived, conducted an investigation, and determined no crime had been committed.


On 1/6/26, at approximately 6:43 a.m., officers responded to Ameristar Casino on a report of harassment. Officers spoke with the reporting party to collect necessary information. Officers cleared the scene at approximately 7:26 a.m., and took a report. This case will remain active for further investigation.


On 1/6/26, at approximately 9:58 a.m., officers responded to Monarch Casino to escort an unwanted party out of a hotel room. Officers escorted the unwanted party out of the hotel room and cleared the scene with a report at approximately 10:41 a.m. Officers were later called to a welfare check for the same party at approximately 11:48 a.m. Paramedics were called to check the party's welfare and released the party at approximately 12:23 p.m., when the party got on a bus to head out of the city. Officers cleared the scene at approximately 12:24 p.m.


On 1/6/25, an officer responded to a 911 call at the Monarch Casino. An officer spoke with the female party, who was the reporting party, and she advised that she did not need further assistance. It was determined a crime had not been committed


On 1/7/26, at approximately 9:52 a.m., officers responded to Ameristar Casino about a call involving a theft from the business by an employee. Officers spoke with the reporting party to gather information. Officers cleared the scene at approximately 11:01 a.m., and took a report for documentation. This case will remain active pending further investigation.

On 1/7/26, at approximately 11:16 a.m., officers responded to 240 Main Street in reference to suspected drugs found in a hotel room. There are no current suspects, evidence was collected and booked for destruction.


On 1/7/26, at approximately 1:18 p.m., officers were dispatched to 240 Main Street on report of a male party that had fallen, hit his head, and was unconscious and not breathing. Officers arrived on scene and performed CPR. The male party was deceased on scene.

On 1/7/26, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle with expired registration tags. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at the 500 block of Main Street. Upon contact, the driver had a Colorado temporary tag that expires in March of 2026. A verbal warning was issued.


On 1/7/26, officers observed a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 119 with no license plate attached to the vehicle. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the post office parking lot. Upon contact, the driver stated that he does not have proof of insurance or registration due to the vehicle being purchased recently. A summons was issued.


On 1/7/26, at approximately 9:52 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to observe a traffic control device. The driver was issued a verbal warning.


On 1/8/26, at approximately 10:18 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no headlamps required. Upon investigation, the driver was placed into custody for driving under the influence and later transported to detox.


On 1/8/26, at approximately 12:23 a.m., Black Hawk officers were conducting routine patrol in the Monarch parking garage when they observed a suspicious vehicle without a license plate. The driver was advised not to operate the vehicle on a public road with no plates.


On 1/8/26, at approximately 4:27 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound near mile marker 6 on Highway 119 for following another vehicle too closely. The driver was issued a verbal warning.


On 1/8/26, at approximately 12:37 p.m., officers were on a routine patrol at 401 Main Street, when they noticed a vehicle with only one working taillight. A traffic stop was conducted, and a verbal warning was given.

On 1/8/26, at approximately 5:50 p.m., Black Hawk officers were on routine patrol of the Monarch parking garage when they observed a fictitious temporary tag. The fictitious temporary tag was seized, and a report was taken.


On 1/8/26, at approximately 6:37 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired plates. The driver was issued a Gilpin County Penalty Assessment.


On 1/8/26, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling west on Miners Road and running the stop sign at the intersection of Miners and Bobtail Roads. Upon contact, officers conducted a DUI investigation with the driver. An arrest was made, and a report was taken.


On 1/8/26, at approximately 7:19 p.m., Black Hawk officers were conducting routine patrol of the Bally's parking garage when they observed a suspicious vehicle. Upon further investigation, officers were able to contact the owner. No additional actions were taken.

On 1/8/26, at approximately 8:28 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at the Lady Luck parking garage for a driver running a stop sign at Bobtail and Miners Road. The driver was given a verbal warning.


On 1/8/26, at approximately 9:36 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119, for weaving near mile marker 6. The driver was issued a verbal warning.


On 1/9/26, at approximately 12:42 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino for an assault. Upon further investigation, the victim declined to press charges. The case will be closed as inactive.


On 1/9/26, at approximately 1:31 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound at the 200 block of Main Street with no headlights. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

On 1/9/26, at approximately 1:41 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino located at 111 Richman St to investigate an unknown white powdery substance that was found on the casino floor. The substance was collected and a suspect was issued a summons.


On 1/9/26, at approximately 10:29 a.m., officers were on a routine patrol,when they were flagged down by a male party across from the fire station. The male requested a courtesy ride and was given on to the Gilpin County School.




On 1/9/26, at approximately 2:07 p.m., officers took a report of a civil incident occurring at Chase Street.



On 1/9/26, at approximately 3:24 p.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino in reference to a male patron who had pushed an elderly female. The subject was later subdued by on-site security. He was deemed intoxicated and transported to St. Anthony’s Hospital by Gilpin EMS.


On 1/9/26, at approximately 4:12 p.m., Black Hawk officers were advised of a cold sexual assault that occurred on 1/1/26 at the Monarch Casino. A report was taken and the investigation is ongoing.


On 1/9/26, at approximately 7:37 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a lost wallet. Upon investigation, the wallet was stolen and later found, but it was missing cash. A suspect has been identified and was issued a summons.


On 1/9/26, at approximately 8:48 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle traveling westbound on Main Street by the Monarch Casino with an expired Colorado license plate from 10/25. The vehicle then proceeded to turn into the Monarch parking garage without using a turn signal. The driver was contacted and issued a verbal warning for the signal violation and a Penalty Assessment for the expired plate. 


On 1/9/26, at approximately 11:53 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle exiting the Monarch parking garage without head lamps. Officers initiated a traffic stop and, after further investigation, an occupant of the vehicle was arrested and taken to the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office.


On 1/10/26,  at approximately 1:01 a.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino, regarding an unwanted party refusing to leave the gaming floor. Once on scene, the unwanted party was contacted, who was upset due to a possible gambling violation at the blackjack table. An assist to the Colorado Division of Gaming report was completed.


On 1/10/26, at approximately 3:47 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a welfare check at the Lady Luck Casino for an intoxicated party. Upon arrival, officers placed the male party into protective custody. Officers contacted medical services due to the male party’s level of intoxication. Officers later released the male party to a sober party.


On 1/10/26, at approximately 5:27 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino, for found narcotics. After further investigation, a suspect was placed into custody and taken to the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office.


On 1/10/26, at approximately 10:18 a.m., officers were on an area check at 255 Main Street, when they noticed an occupied black SUV bearing no plates and parked in two spaces. Officers made contact with the individuals, who stated they had just purchased the vehicle.


On 1/10/26, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to 240 Main Street on a report of stolen property. Officers spoke with the victim and identified a suspect. Officers contacted the suspect via phone and are attempting to issue a summons.


On 1/10/26, at approximately 2:33 p.m., officers were dispatched to 111 Richman street for a lost cell phone. A male party was contacted. Officers retrieved the phone from the security desk and returned it to the party.


On 1/10/26, at approximately 3:02 p.m., officers witnessed a vehicle make an improper right-hand turn from Richman Street onto Highway 119. A traffic stop was initiated, the driver was given a verbal warning.


On 1/10/26, at approximately 5:37 p.m., officers observed a vehicle with excessive and improper forward-facing white lamps at the intersection of Highway 119 and Miners Road. The driver was given a warning.


On 1/10/26, Black Hawk officers received a report of a road-rage incident that was actively occurring on southbound Highway 119. Officers conducted a traffic stop, issued a warning for driving behavior, and cleared the scene.


On 1/10/26, at approximately 6:33 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to Bally's West on an assist to Gaming regarding a suspect who was argumentative with staff. Officers stood by as Gaming wrote a summons for trespass.


On 1/10/26, at approximately 8:50 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle driving between the middle and left turn lane at the intersection of Gregory Street and Highway 119. The vehicle was also observed stopping at the green light before turning left without signaling. A driver was contacted, who stated they were unfamiliar with the area. The driver was given a verbal warning.


On 1/10/26, at approximately 8:59 hours, Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for careless driving. Upon contact, the driver could not provide insurance. The driver was issued a Municipal Summons.


On 1/10/26, at approximately 9:24 p.m., an officer was conducting a traffic stop after observing a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 119 from mile marker 6 without taillights. Dispatch also advised that the vehicle's Texas license plate had expired as of 8/25. The driver was contacted, who was unaware that they had only their running lights on, and the Texas DMV also confirmed that their registration was current. The driver was given a verbal warning.


On 1/11/26, at approximately 1:33 a.m., a Black Hawk police officer responded to the Lodge Casino regarding a glass container with an unknown white powdery substance that was found on the casino floor. The unknown white powdery substance was later collected and tested to be positive for a controlled substance. However, based on a surveillance review, no suspect was found. A report was completed.


On 1/11/26, at approximately 1:41 a.m., a Black Hawk police officer responded to the Lodge Casino, to assist the Colorado Division of Gaming regarding a Ticket-in, Ticket-Out (TITO) Ticket theft. A suspect was contacted, and a report was completed.


On 1/11/26, at approximately 2:43 a.m., an officer took a phone call regarding a theft at the Monarch Casino. The reporting party, Monarch surveillance, reported that an individual stole numerous cash tips from tables in the Buffet. Monarch Surveillance confirmed that the suspects were no longer on scene, and a report was completed.

On 1/11/26, at approximately 4:55 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino regarding a possible harassment incident that occurred on the gaming floor. Once on scene, two individuals were contacted and stated that they had been followed by two other individuals who wouldn't leave them alone. A report was taken.


On 1/11/26, at approximately 11:09 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Main and Gregory Streets on report of a guest who was refusing to leave the Sasquatch Casino and was reportedly arguing with a male party. Officers spoke with both parties and determined they were only having a disagreement. Medical was called to check on one party and the party refused their service. Officers cleared the scene at approximately 11:42 a.m. 


On 1/11/26, at approximately 2:25 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no license plate displayed occurring at Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.


On 1/11/26, at approximately 11:10 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino for a welfare check. After further investigation, the individuals were no longer in Black Hawk.


On 1/11/26, at approximately 11:44 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to a broken slot machine at Lodge Casino. After investigating the damage that had happened on 1/10/26, surveillance was unable to identify the suspect. This case is inactive.


On 1/12/26, at approximately 12:12 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino for a party who was trespassed and had warrants. The suspect was arrested and transported to Gilpin County Jail and issued another summons for trespass.


On 1/12/26, at approximately 1:45 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for a report of a disturbance. Upon further investigation, one person was charged and booked into the Gilpin County Sheriff's office.


On 1/12/26, at approximately 5:49 a.m., officers responded to the floor 13 Monarch Casino hotel for a welfare check. Officers spoke with the parents of the individual involved and determined no action needs to be taken. Officers cleared the scene with a report at approximately 6:38 a.m. 


On 1/12/26, at approximately 6:39 a.m., Black Hawk officers observed a semi-truck turn out of the Monarch loading dock and cause damage. The driver had a valid license and insurance and a report was taken.


On 1/12/26, officers took a report of a potential previously occurring violation of a protection order and sexual assault. An investigation determined the allegations could not be corroborated. A report was completed.


On 1/12/26, at approximately 3:59 p.m., an officer was flagged down for a traffic complaint at mile marker 6 of Highway 119. The vehicle was found in the Monarch garage, and the driver was subsequently arrested and released on a summons for DUI. A report was completed.


On 1/12/26, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on report of a lost wallet and a white substance in a clear baggy that was inside the wallet. The suspect was on scene and was issued a summons. A report was taken.


On 1/13/26, at approximately 7:56 a.m., officers responded to the cash cage at the Monarch Casino on a report of a guest using a counterfeit bill. An officer arrived and spoke with the involved parties and recovered a counterfeit bill to be booked into evidence. Officers determined no further action was needed and cleared the scene at approximately 8:19 a.m.

On 1/13/26, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a trespass. A suspect was issued a summons.


On 1/13/26, at approximately 7:31 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of an underage party gaming. Two parties were contacted and the case was referred to the Colorado Division of Gaming. A report was completed.


On 1/13/26, at approximately 7:57 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino, for an ID check. The party's ID was checked, and it was confirmed that she was 21 years of age.


On 1/13/26, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling northbound Highway 119 with an expired Colorado temporary tag of 8/29/25. Officers conducted a traffic stop at the bus turn around on Richman Street. Upon contact, the driver showed proof of insurance and was issued a summons.


On 1/13/26, at approximately 10:07 p.m., Black Hawk officers were conducting routine patrol at the Monarch Garage when they observed a fictitious temporary plate. The plate was confiscated, and a business card was left on the vehicle.


On 1/14/26, Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a male party who was underage and intoxicated. A summons was issued, and a report was taken.


On 1/14/26, at approximately 7:04 a.m., officers witnessed a vehicle leaving a parking garage at 488 Main Street with no visible license plates. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver stated they had a DMV appointment on Friday. A warning was given to the party.


On 1/14/26, at approximately 4:10 p.m., officers responded to the area of Highway 119 and Gregory Street to assist Gilpin County Sheriff's Office deputies attempting to conduct a traffic stop on a wanted person. The vehicle eluded law enforcement after a brief pursuit. A report was completed.


On 1/14/26, at approximately 6:22 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle traveling above the posted speed limit of 15 MPH traveling eastbound on Main Street from the 500 block. The driver was contacted and given a verbal warning.


On 1/15/26, at approximately 3:14 a.m., officers responded to the Lady Luck Casino in reference to a female patron laying on the floor of the casino. Casino staff stated that she was possibly intoxicated. Officers arrived at the scene along with Gilpin EMS. The female was medically cleared and taken to the Horseshoe Casino where she got a hotel room.

On 1/15/26, at approximately 12:23 p.m., officers were patrolling Highway 119 when they noticed a vehicle with no visible license plates turn onto Gregory Street. A traffic stop was initiated at Bobtail and Gregory Street. The party had just recently purchased the vehicle and was released with a verbal warning.


On 1/15/26, an officer took a report for a victim being hacked on his email accounts and financial accounts. The victim is a manager at the Monarch Casino. The case is being forwarded to investigations.

On 1/15/26, at approximately 6:03 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lady Luck parking garage on a report of a possible harassment. Upon investigation, the individual wanted the incident documented and tied in with an assault case that Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office was working on.


On 1/15/26, at approximately 8:52 p.m., a Black Hawk police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing that the vehicle had an expired Colorado temporary tag, expiring in November of 2025, at the intersection of Highway 119 and Miners Mesa. The driver was contacted, and a Gilpin County Penalty Assessment was issued.

On 1/15/26, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at Gregory and Main Streets for no headlights. The driver was given a verbal warning.


On 1/15/26, at approximately 9:28 p.m., officers observed a vehicle driving carelessly with an expired temporary license plate at the intersection of Main and Richman Streets. Upon stop the driver did not have a valid license.


On 1/16/26, at approximately 10:20 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino regarding a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident that occurred in the parking garage. A suspect was identified, and a report was taken.


On 1/15/26, at approximately 11:33 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle with defective tail lamps and expired plates near mile marker 6 on Highway 119. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a Gilpin County Penalty Assessment.


On 1/16/26, at approximately 1:12 a.m., Black Hawk officers went to a medical call at High Street. Black Hawk officers cleared a male party through dispatch. Due to the fact of a known protection order, they also cleared a female party. The male party did not have a valid protection order, but the female party had a warrant. Due to the severity of the medical condition, the female party was taken to the hospital and was not placed into custody for the warrant.


On 1/16/26, at approximately 4:57 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched regarding lost property of a cell phone at the Lady Luck Casino. Officers contacted the reporting party via phone. Officers then contacted the Horseshoe Casino surveillance to start a review. Later, Black Hawk officers walked through the Wild Card Casino to try to locate the phone. The phone was last pinged going down Highway 6. This case will be active and changed to a theft.

On 1/16/26, at approximately 10:56 a.m., officers received a phone call from hotel staff at 488 Main Street in reports of a found firearm in a hotel room. Officers collected the firearm and cleared it through CCIC/NCIC and it was reported stolen out of Washington in 1992. Security staff informed officers that the party was still on the gaming floor, officers made contact with the party who was unaware the firearm was stolen. No citations were issued; the firearm was booked in for evidence.


On 1/16/26, Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle that was stopped at a green light at the intersection of Highway 119 and Gregory Street. Officers made contact with the driver and issued a warning for driving behavior.


On 1/16/26, at approximately 5:32 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle fail to yield right of way when turning left in front of approaching traffic at Highway 119 and Main Street. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a verbal warning.


On 1/16/26, at approximately 9:26 p.m., Black Hawk officers were flagged down by a female party in the hotel lobby of the Ameristar Casino. After finishing with another call, officers contacted the female to do a welfare check on her husband. After the investigation, officers contacted the male party on floor 16. The male party was ok and was just sleeping.


On 1/16/26,  at approximately 11:15 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Hotel on the report of a theft. After investigation, the call was determined to be a domestic violence incident, and an arrest warrant was issued for the suspect.


On 1/17/26, at approximately 6:14 a.m., officers responded to the Lodge Casino on report of a damaged slot machine.


On 1/17/26, at approximately 6:47 a.m., officers observed a car parked in the dirt road off of Highway 119 mile marker 7. Officers performed a welfare check and identified the driver. A verbal warning was given. No further actions.


On 1/17/26, officers responded to the Lady Luck Casino hotel on report of a domestic disturbance. Officers arrested one male party and booked him into the Gilpin County Jail on a warrant out of Lakewood and an assault which occurred earlier in the night. Officers cleared the scene with a report.


On 1/17/26, at approximately 8:40 a.m., officers responded to a residence on High Street in Black Hawk, in reference to a female at that location displaying violent behaviors. Upon arrival, officers spoke with all parties and determined that no criminal activity had occurred.


On 1/17/26, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to 111 Richman Street on a report of a lost juvenile inside the casino. Officers made contact with the juvenile and discovered he was handicapped and had been left without supervision. Officers issued a summons to the guardian and cleared the scene. 

On 1/17/26, at approximately 4:11 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle pull out of the Horseshoe parking garage near Miners Road and Main Street, almost causing an accident. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver did not have valid insurance. The driver was issued a Municipal Summons.


On 1/17/26, at approximately 9:11 p.m., a Black Hawk police officer was performing an area check of the Horseshoe parking garage when they came across a broken window that had fallen from a hotel room above. Officers conducted a welfare check on the hotel room with the missing window and confirmed that no one was in distress. A report for damaged property was completed.


On 1/17/26, at approximately 10:05 p.m., officers observed a vehicle fail to observe a traffic control device at Highway 119 northbound and Richman Street. The driver was contacted and given a warning. The driver was a minor but had a licensed parent in the vehicle.


On 1/17/26, at approximately 11:55 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Bull Durham Casino for a theft of $40. After the investigation, officers were able to contact the suspect. The suspect stated he would return the money to an officer on 1/19/26. The victim did not want to press charges. This case will remain active.


On 1/18/26, at 12:33 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino, regarding a verbal altercation where threats were exchanged between two individuals. Parties were contacted and one person was issued a Gilpin County Summons for Menacing.


On 1/18/26, at approximately 1:45 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to Bally's North Casino for a physical disturbance. Upon arrival officers located a female screaming in the second-floor bar area. Officers detained the female. Once the female was detained, the female started kicking at officers. The female was placed on the ground until medical services arrived. The female was taken to the hospital by medical services.


On 1/18/26, officers responded to the Dakota parking lot regarding a Non-Injury Motor Vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers contacted the suspect, who backed into another parked car while attempting to leave the parking lot. The suspect was also determined to be intoxicated and was taken into custody. A report was taken.


On 1/18/26, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired plates. It was later discovered that the driver had a nationwide extradition warrant. The driver was arrested and taken to the Gilpin County Jail.


On 1/18/26, at approximately 8:00 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Lodge Casino for a baggy of white substance found on the casino floor. The substance was collected and a suspect was issued a summons.


On 1/18/26, officers responded to the Monarch garage on the report of a cold hit-and-run non-injury accident. No suspect was identified.


On 1/18/26, at approximately 4:20 p.m., officers were dispatched to 401 Main Street in reference for a lost wallet. Upon arrival security stated they had located a male party who had picked up the wallet and taken items out of the wallet. The male party was contacted and issued a municipal summons.


On 1/18/26, at approximately 5:39 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Lodge Casino, on a report of a lost wallet. Surveillance was unable to determine where the victim lost his wallet after reviewing the video.


On 1/18/26, at approximately 10:30 p.m., an officer initiated a traffic stop in the 300 block of Main Street for a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed in the 400 block of Main Street. The driver of the vehicle stated he thought the speed limit was 30 or 35 miles per hour. The driver was given a verbal warning and told that the correct speed limit is 15 miles per hour.

On 1/1926, Black Hawk officers got a phone report of a stolen phone and wallet that occurred at the Ameristar Casino. Further investigation, Black Hawk Officers were advised the reporting party of the stolen wallet and phone was located at the Monarch Casino. An arrest was made and a report was taken.

On 1/19/26 at approximately 12:22 a.m., officers witnessed a vehicle driving at the intersection of Miners and Main Street with expired license plates. A traffic stop was initiated, and a verbal warning was given.


On 1/19/26, Black Hawk Officers responded to the area of Gregory St and highway 119 to try and locate a vehicle that was reported driving slowly and breaking repeatedly. Officers located the vehicle traveling Southbound highway 119 and conducted a traffic stop next to the Coyote Motel. Upon investigation, officers did not observe any signs of impairment. The driver was driving slowly and using breaks often due to the slick roads. The driver was free to go.


On 1/20/26, at 12:47 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino for a report of a welfare check. The individual was later found, and it was determined that they were not a danger to themselves or others.


On 1/20/26, at approximately 11:33 a.m., officers were dispatched to 111 Richman Street in reference to a suspicious vehicle following a car in the parking garage. When officers arrived on scene the suspicious vehicle had left. Officers contacted the reporting party and determined nothing criminal occurred. Officers advised the party to move their vehicle to another location inside the parking garage.


On 1/20/26, at approximately 7:06 p.m., officers observed a vehicle turn from Richman Street onto Highway 119 with no head lights on. A traffic stop was initiated, and a verbal warning was given.


On 1/20/26, Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driving in the 100 Block of Main Street for having no headlights when required. It was later discovered that the driver did not possess a valid license or insurance. The driver was issued a Gilpin County Summons.


On 1/21/26, at approximately 01:52 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino, for an ID verification. The verification was completed, and no further action was taken.


On 1/21/26, at approximately 5:27 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a REDDI report at Monarch Casino. Officers observed the vehicle near the bus turnaround, and after conducting an investigation, the driver was placed in custody for DUI.


On 1/21/26, at approximately 4:33 p.m., officers were dispatched to 7320 Black hawk Blvd. in reference to a welfare check of children inside a vehicle. Officers made contact, the children were okay. Officers determined nothing criminal occurred.


On 1/21/26, at approximately 5:59 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle northbound on Highway 119 from mile marker six with expired plates. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a verbal warning.


On 1/21/26, at approximately 8:11p.m., Black Hawk officers contacted a male who appeared to be sleeping on the sidewalk near Highway 119 and Gregory Street. The male was previously contacted near Church Street and Gregory Street, where he was also sleeping. The male was advised not to sleep in the city and he moved along.


On 1/21/26, at approximately 9:20 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle run through the stop sign located at Miners and Bobtail. Upon contact, the driver was issued a Municipal Penalty assessment and when the driver was given a copy, the driver crumbled it up and threw it somewhere in the vehicle.


On 1/21/26, officers took a call for potential stolen property at Lady Luck Casino parking garage which occurred on 1/13/26. After speaking with surveillance, officers determined the missing property would be considered lost and took a report for documentation.


On 1/22/26, at approximately 7:17 a.m., officers initiated a traffic stop for a red-light violation at Highway 119 at Richman Street. Officers approached the vehicle and identified the driver. Verbal warning was given. No further actions.


On 1/22/26, at approximately 10:38 a.m., officers were performing a routine area check at Ameristar Casino parking garage when officers observed one party sitting in his car. Officers spoke with the party and checked their welfare. Officers took no further action and cleared the scene at approximately 10:44 a.m.


On 1/22/26, at approximately 11:40 a.m., officers responded to Monarch Casino hotel on report of an active disturbance. Officers arrived at approximately 11:49 a.m., and spoke with two involved parties. Officers ultimately determined that no crimes had occurred and cleared the scene at approximately 12:05 p.m.


On 1/22/26, at approximately 6:48 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed an elderly male on the ground near Bally's bus stop. Upon investigation, the male had fallen on the sidewalk and hit his head. The male was transported to the hospital, and a CIRSA form was completed.


On 1/22/26, at approximately 10:47 p.m., Black Hawk officers were on routine patrol of the Dakota lot when they cleared a plate that turned out to be fictitious. There was also a fictitious year tab on the plate. The plate was seized. Officers later conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle when it was mobile.


On 1/22/26, at approximately 11:24 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at the 500 block of Main Street for careless driving. After talking with the driver, the driver was given a verbal warning.

On 1/23/25, at approximately 12:47 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle at the intersection of Gregory Street  and Bobtail Road with a defective left passenger head and tail light. A driver was contacted and given a verbal warning to get both lights fixed.


On 1/23/26, at approximately 6:56 a.m., officers were patrolling the Dakota parking lot and observed two occupants sleeping inside a parked car. Officers approached the vehicle to do a welfare check. The driver was identified as the driver of the vehicle. No further action.


On 1/23/26, officers took a phone call about property being stolen at Ameristar Casino on 1/21/26. After speaking with surveillance who reviewed surveillance video, officers determined that the property was never on the reporting party's person inside the casino and the property was considered lost. Officers took a report for documentation.


On 1/23/26, at approximately 3:26 p.m., officers contacted a female party on a traffic stop for following too closely at the intersection of Gregory Street and Highway 119, because the driver ahead of her had waved officers over and complained of the female party following too closely. Officers spoke with the female party and ultimately gave her a verbal warning. Officers cleared the scene with a report for documentation.


On 1/23/26, at approximately 3:20 p.m., officers responded to a report of a lost or stolen phone at The Horseshoe Casino / hotel. Upon arrival the phone was located and returned to the rightful owner.


On 1/23/26, at approximately 6:12 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle run the red light at Richman Street and Highway 119. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a verbal warning.


On 1/23/26, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to 111 Richman Street on a report of a stolen wallet. Officers conducted an investigation and identified a male suspect. Officers are actively investigating to locate him.


On 1/23/26, at approximately 7:31 p.m., officers were dispatched to a dine and dash theft that occurred at The Copper Kitchen Pizzeria.


On 1/23/26, at approximately 8:32 p.m., an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino regarding a dine-and-dash involving two individuals that occurred at the Brews Brothers restaurant. Upon arrival, the suspects were no longer on scene; however, with the help of Horseshoe surveillance, one suspect was identified. A report was taken, and the case is still active.



On 1/24/26, at approximately 11:23 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing it making an illegal U-turn at the 200 Block of Main Street. A driver was contacted and later found out that their driver's license was suspended. The driver was issued a Gilpin County Penalty Assessment and a Proof of Service. A field interview (FI) report was completed.


On 1/24/26, at approximately 1:13 a.m., officers observed a vehicle failing to maintain their lane in the 6300 block of southbound Highway 119. The driver was contacted and given a warning.


On 1/24/26, at approximately 3:53 a.m., officers received a welfare check from a family member concerned for the welfare of a party staying at the Lady Luck Hotel. Officers performed a welfare check and determined a domestic assault had occurred. An arrest was made.


On 1/24/26, at approximately 6:36 a.m., officers observed a subject on level 3 of the Lady Luck parking garage. The subject was standing outside of a 1998 GMC Suburban, gold in color. The door of the vehicle was ajar, and the vehicle did not have license plates. The subject was identified and confirmed to be the owner of the vehicle.


On 1/24/26, officers called a female party on report of a cell phone being stolen at Lodge Casino. Officers spoke with Lodge Casino and Bally's Casino surveillance and they were unable to identify the suspect. The suspect left the scene in his vehicle and surveillance was unable to identify the license plate number associated with the suspect vehicle. Officers ultimately listed the case as inactive.


On 1/24/26, at approximately 1:54 p.m., officers observed a male party driving west approximately 10 miles per hour over the posted speed limit on Main Street. Officers then followed him into the Horseshoe Casino parking garage and observed the male driver driving through a stop sign without stopping in the Horseshoe garage entrance. Officers gave the driver a verbal warning and cleared the scene with a report at approximately 1:59 p.m.


On 1/24/26, Black Hawk officers contacted a male party in the police department lobby who wanted to report an assault that occurred earlier at the Saratoga Casino. Officers received a statement from the reporting victim and then made contact with the suspect in this case. Officers conducted an investigation and issued a summons to the suspect.


On 1/24/26, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to 101 Main Street on a report of harassment that occurred inside the third-level restaurant kitchen. Officers arrived on scene and conducted an investigation. Officers issued a summons to the suspect and cleared the scene.


On 1/25/26, at approximately 8:41 p.m., officers contacted two vehicles in the Rim Rock open parking lot with one of the vehicles actively doing donuts in the snow at a high rate of speed. The driver who was actively doing the donuts in the parking lot was issued a municipal penalty assessment for careless driving.


On 1/25/26, at approximately 9:56 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a trespassed male on property. Upon investigation, the male was issued a Municipal Summons. 


On 1/24/26, at approximately 11:23 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for an assist other agency, the Division of Gaming, for an underage gambler. After the investigation, surveillance determined that no gaming had occurred.


On 1/24/26, at approximately 11:21 p.m., officers responded to the Dakota lot, which is the open parking lot associated with the Lodge and Gilpin Casinos, to contact an underage individual who was seen drinking at the Gilpin Casino. Upon their investigation, the individual admitted to drinking while underage and was issued a Municipal Summons.


On 1/25/26, at approximately 12:14 a.m., officers observed a vehicle failing to maintain its lane in the 6300 block of Highway 119. The driver was given a verbal warning.


On 1/25/26, at approximately 2:47 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Horseshoe Casino for a medical assist. Upon arrival, the male party refused to go to the hospital. Due to the male party being intoxicated and having medical complications, Gilpin paramedics asked officers to assist getting the male party onto the patient gurney.

After assisting the male party onto the gurney, he was taken to the hospital.


On 1/25/26, at approximately 6:44 a.m., officers witnessed a vehicle make an improper turn at the intersection of Miners Road and Main Street. A traffic stop was initiated. A verbal warning was given.


On 1/25/26, at approximately 8:55 a.m., officers were dispatched to 240 Main Street in regard to a lost property call. Upon further investigation, security had informed us that the item was taken and the subject was still on scene. Officers made contact with the subject and a summons was issued. The property was recovered and returned to the owner.


On 1/25/26, an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of found drugs on the casino floor. No suspect was identified. The drugs were booked for destruction.


On 1/27/26, at approximately 12:24 p.m., officers were dispatched to 401 Main Street for a found backpack that contained multiple different identifying cards inside. While on scene officers made contact with the owner of the backpack and placed them into custody for forgery and other additional charges. The party was transported and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.


On 1/28/26, at approximately 12:00 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling northbound on the 200 block of Main Street for driving without headlights. The driver was issued a verbal warning.


On 1/28/26, at approximately 1:17 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle turning right onto Highway119 from Gregory Street without using a turn signal. The driver was issued a verbal warning.


On 1/24/26, a male submitted an application for the police officer position at the Black Hawk Police Department. The application contained offensive references to the Police Chief and District Attorney. He also listed his current employment as a sharpshooter and "explosives expert." The report was taken and referred to investigations.


On 1/28/26, at approximately 10:14 a.m., officers observed a male party standing on the corner median of Highway 119 and Gregory holding a sign. Officers made contact with the male party and informed him he cannot camp or panhandle in the city limits. He was cooperative and agreed to move along.


On 1/28/26, Black Hawk officers observed a known party with warrants walking north on Main Street. Officers made contact and placed him in custody on those outstanding warrants.


On 1/28/26, at approximately 12:45 p.m., a male party came into municipal court. The male party had an outstanding warrant and violated a protection order. The male party was arrested and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.


On 1/28/26, at approximately 1:27 p.m., officers responded to Monarch Casino on report of a trespass. Officers located the suspect, issued a summons, and advised the suspect not to visit any casinos where they have been given a notice of trespass. Officers then cleared the scene with a report.


On 1/28/26, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to 488 Main Street on a report of damaged property. Officers arrived on scene and gathered the involved information and issued a summons. Officers cleared the scene.

On 1/28/26, at approximately 9:46 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a male who possibly had a gun in his pocket. Upon investigation, the male had a phone case that appeared to be like a gun. The male was asked to leave Monarch property.


On 1/28/26, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 from Richman Street with no headlights and taillights on. Officers conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle at mile marker (MM) 5.8. Upon contact, the driver handed officers appropriate documentation. A verbal warning was issued.

On 1/28/26, at approximately 10:34 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 for erratic braking that impeded the normal flow of traffic. The driver was issued a verbal warning.


On 1/28/26, at approximately 10:45 p.m., officers observed a vehicle in the 400 block of Main Street driving carelessly and failing to yield the right of way to a pedestrian. Upon a traffic stop, the vehicle had open containers of alcohol, and the driver admitted to drinking alcohol. After roadside sobriety maneuvers, the driver was arrested.


On 1/29/26, at approximately 1:15 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino for an intoxicated party who urinated on the property. The intoxicated party was contacted and issued a Gilpin County Summons. A report was completed.


On 1/29/26, at approximately 1:57 a.m., an officer took a report for damage to a police vehicle and handrail at the police department located at 221 Church Street.


On 1/29/26, at approximately 6:43 a.m., officers observed a vehicle at the Horseshoe Casino parking garage and determined the vehicle was bearing a fictitious temporary license plate. Officers removed the fictitious temporary plate from the vehicle and, after speaking with surveillance, identified the suspect. This case is still open pending further investigation.


On 1/29/26, at approximately 7:58 a.m., officers observed a vehicle at the Z Casino parking lot. The vehicle had condensation on the inner windows and a male party was occupying the front seat with the seat lying back. Officers conducted a welfare check of the occupant and confirmed that the male party was in good welfare. Officers cleared the scene with no further action at approximately 8:02 a.m.


On 1/29/26, at approximately 3:15 p.m., officers made contact with one male party in the Briggs Lot for driving a defective and unsafe vehicle. Officers advised the male party not to drive the vehicle and the party agreed that he would not drive and he would be getting the car towed.

On 1/29/26, at approximately 3:25 a.m., officers were contacted by a male and female party in the Briggs Lot because the female party believed the male party (her boyfriend) had stolen her cell phone. Officers walked the female party back to Copper Kitchen Pizza, and she found her phone in the back office. The theft was unfounded, and officers cleared the scene at approximately 3:33 a.m. with no further action.


On 1/29/26, at approximately 4:35 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to Z Stop Gas Station to assist the State Patrol on a traffic stop with a possible barricaded individual inside the gas station. Upon investigation, the male suspect fled near the creek and remains outstanding.


On 1/29/26, at approximately 8:41 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino for lost property. A report was taken.


On 1/29/26, at approximately 11:10 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at Highway 119 and MM 5.8 for a broken passenger headlight and a broken passenger tail light. The driver was given a verbal warning.


On 1/29/26, at approximately 11:51 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino to assist the Colorado Division of Gaming in contacting an underage individual on the gaming floor. The individual was contacted, and a report was completed.


On 1/30/26, at approximately 2:08 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a trespassed party on level 3 of the Monarch parking garage. After officers contacted the suspect, the suspect was issued a summons for trespassing.


On 1/30/26, at approximately 2:47 a.m., officers observed a vehicle disregard a traffic control device, a red light at Miners Road and Main Street. The vehicle proceeded to drive carelessly without its headlamps. The driver was stopped and later arrested on suspicion of DUI.

On 1/30/26, officers took a call from a reporting party about her sister, who had gone missing. Officers searched the parking garages for the missing person's vehicle. The reporting party later called and advised that their sister had contacted them and said she was fine and would be heading home soon.


On 1/30/26, at approximately 1:18 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to 111 Richman Street  on a report of an intoxicated party that was refusing to leave. Officers arrived on scene and facilitated a sober party to come pick him up. The subject was released, and officers cleared.

On 1/30/26, at approximately 7:12 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle on Highway 119 near MM 5.8 with no headlamps required. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a verbal warning.


On 1/30/26, at approximately 8:47 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop for a driver failing to stop at a crosswalk when pedestrians are present at the 200 Block of Main Street. The driver was given a verbal warning.


On 1/30/26, at approximately 8:58 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle with an expired license plate from 2/25, westbound at the intersection of Main and Richman Streets. Upon contact with the driver, they were unable to show proof of insurance. The driver was issued a Gilpin County Summons.

On 1/30/26, at approximately 9:19 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at Highway 119 and MM 5.8 for a driver running a red light at Main and Richman Streets. The driver was given a verbal warning.


On 1/30/26, at approximately 10:04 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle at Gregory and Main Streets with expired plates. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a Gilpin County Penalty Assessment.


On 1/30/26, at approximately 10:10 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at the 300 Block of Main Street for a vehicle with expired tags of 10/25. The driver was issued a summons for the expired tags and no insurance.


On 01/30/26, at 10:18 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino to assist the Colorado Division of Gaming in contacting an underage individual on the gaming floor. The individual was contacted, and a report was completed.


On 1/31/26, at approximately 6:05 a.m., officers responded to Monarch Casino on report of an active disturbance on the gaming floor. After interviews and investigation, officers determined the party involved had committed harassment, menacing, and third degree assault. Officers arrested the involved party and transported him to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 1/31/26, at approximately 5:18 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a silver BMW traveling northbound on Highway 119 from MM 6 with no license plate attached. Officers also observed a defective taillight. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was issued a verbal warning.


On 1/31/26, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on Highway 119. Officers conducted a traffic stop and issued the driver a warning for speed.


On 1/31/26, at approximately 9:16 p.m., an officer was conducting an area check at the Ameristar parking garage. While driving level nine, the officer observed a female party yelling at a male party near the down ramp. After separating both parties, officers concluded no crime was committed.

On 1/31/26, at approximately 11:11 p.m., officers were dispatched to a Report Every Drunk Driver Immediately (REDDI) Report. The vehicle was located in the 200 Block of Main Street. The driver was contacted and deemed not intoxicated; however, the vehicle had two more occupants who were intoxicated, and one matched the description given out. Since the driver was sober the vehicle was released.


On 1/31/26, at approximately 11:44 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at Church and Gregory Streets for a vehicle with no license plate. The driver had just purchased the vehicle and had a bill of sale. The driver was given a verbal warning.
