On 6/1/25, a Black Hawk sergeant conducted a traffic stop of a motorcycle displaying expired registration. The rider was released on a warning. 

On 6/1/25, at approximately 10:33 a.m., an officer responded to a damaged vehicle at the Ameristar Casino valet. The owner of the vehicle had used a valet and found some minor damage to their vehicle when retrieving it. After a surveillance review, it is not clear if the damage was on the vehicle prior or occurred in the parking garage. As it was inconclusive, this is a civil issue with the casino and the owner.

On 6/1/25, at approximately 12:45 p.m., an officer completed a traffic stop on a vehicle with an expired temporary permit. The driver received a warning.

On 6/1/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department assisted a male party with stolen property that occurred at the Denver International Airport. The male's AirPods were tracking near 333 Main Street. Efforts were made to locate the property using resources such as surveillance and area checks, but officers were unable to assist further. 

On 6/1/25, officers from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to a disturbance at the Ameristar Casino. It was determined that no crime had been committed. Later, the same parties were contacted, and the involved female was transported to detox. 

On 6/1/25, Black Hawk Police were dispatched to 240 Main Street on a report of lost property. Officers are looking into all possible leads at this time.

On 6/2/25, at approximately 12:26 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino for an individual who had been trespassed. The individual received a municipal summons and was off the property. 

On 6/2/25, at approximately 2:40 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino for an intoxicated individual. The individuals were asked to leave the gaming floor, and they complied. No further action was taken. 

On 6/2/25, at approximately 3:36 a.m., Black Hawk officers were conducting routine patrols when they observed suspicious activity in the Lady Luck parking lot. The officers approached two individuals for questioning, but after investigation, officers determined there were no grounds for criminal charges and released the individuals without further action. 

On 6/2/25, at approximately 8:30 a.m., an officer took a hit and run accident report in the Ameristar Casino parking garage. Surveillance was able to identify the run driver and a summons was issued. 

On 6/2/25, at approximately 9:50 a.m., an officer checked on a van that was parked on the soft shoulder by mile marker 7 on Highway 119. The officer had observed the van earlier that morning. The driver was asleep and stated she had been driving and was just taking a break. No signs of alcohol or drugs. No actions taken. 

On 6/2/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Monarch Casino regarding a theft of a motorcycle helmet. This case will remain active for further investigation. 

On 6/2/25, at approximately 2:50 p.m., Black Hawk police officers located a stolen truck at the Monarch Casino parking garage. Surveillance was able to track the male suspect and he was contacted. He was not cooperative and was tasered multiple times to affect the arrest. The suspect was jailed on new charges and an outstanding warrant. 

On 6/2/25, at approximately 9:13 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino for a trespassing incident. The individual was escorted off the property, and no further actions were taken. 

On 6/2/25, Black Hawk Police were dispatched to 401 Main Street on a report of a suicidal male party. Officers conducted an investigation and took one adult male into protective custody. 

On 6/2/25, at approximately 10:21 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound in the 400 block of Main Street. The driver was issued a warning, and no further action was taken. 

On 6/3/25, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Main Street to assist with an identification issue. Officers arrived and cleared up the confusion and cleared the scene.  

On 6/3/25, at approximately 12:59 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino due to found drug paraphernalia. The suspect received a Gilpin County Summons and was escorted off the property. 

On 6/3/25, at approximately 4:18 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino regarding a trespassing individual. The individual was issued a municipal summons and escorted off the property. 

On 6/3/25, Black Hawk officers received a report of two dogs that were locked inside a vehicle at the 200 block of Main Street. Officers were able to contact the vehicle owner and checked the welfare of the dogs. Officers cleared the scene. 

On 6/3/25, while walking through the Ameristar Casino, Black Hawk officers were stopped to assist in verifying a guest's identification. Officers assisted and cleared the scene. 

On 6/3/25, at approximately 10:21 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a driver traveling southbound on Highway 119 at mile marker 5.8. The driver had displayed the registration tags incorrectly. Upon contact, the driver was found to not have a valid driver's license and was issued a Gilpin County Summons. 

On 6/3/25, at approximately 10:50 p.m., officers responded to mile marker 5 of Highway 119 to assist Colorado State Patrol troopers on a traffic stop. The driver was issued a penalty assessment and a report was completed.

On 6/4/25, at approximately 1:12 a.m., Black Hawk officers received a REDDI (report every drunk driver immediately) report indicating that an individual was deemed intoxicated and driving northbound on Highway 119. Officers initiated contact with the driver near mile marker 7.5 on Highway 119. The suspect agreed to perform standard field sobriety tests and was ultimately arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. 

On 6/4/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department conducted a traffic stop at the Ameristar valet. The driver had proof of insurance and an appointment for his plates. He was released on a warning for failing to display license plates. 

On 6/4/25, at approximately 7:46 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an unsafe U-turn. The driver was issued a verbal warning. 

On 6/4/25, at 8:57 p.m., Black Hawk police officers conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle failing to yield at a yellow light resulting in the vehicle turning left on a red light at the intersection of Main and Gregory Streets. A driver was contacted and given a verbal warning. 

On 6/5/25, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no license plates attached. Upon investigation, the driver was revoked for being a habitual traffic offender. The driver was issued a Gilpin County Summons, proof of service, and was told not to drive. 

On 6/4/25, at approximately 10 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at 5312 Highway 119 on a vehicle with no headlights and using a front bumper light bar. The driver failed to present insurance upon request and had an expired registration as of 1/24. The driver was issued a summons for the expired registration and for no insurance. 

On 6/4/25, at approximately 11:48 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for displaying an expired temporary tag. Upon investigation, the driver did not have insurance. The driver was issued a municipal summons. Officers initially issued a Municipal Summons with the wrong charge. The driver was reissued a new summons with the correct charge. 

On 6/5/25, at approximately 12:15 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had stopped in an intersection. Upon contact, the driver provided the required documents and was issued a warning. No further actions were taken. 

On 6/5/25, Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle traveling north on Main Street without headlights on. Officers made a traffic stop and gave a verbal warning. Officers cleared the scene.

On 6/5/25, at approximately 4:18 a.m., Black Hawk officers saw a suspicious U-Haul box truck in the Dakota Lot at 245 Main Street. During the investigation, it turned out the same vehicle was possibly associated with a theft that occurred in Central City. The owner of the vehicle was contacted and was waiting for Gilpin County deputies to be contacted. 

On 6/5/25, at approximately 9:44 a.m., officers observed a vehicle make an unsafe lane change. The driver was given a warning. 

On 6/5/25, at approximately 3:59 p.m., officers were dispatched to a REDDI report. The vehicle was located at Bobtail Road and Miners Road. The driver was arrested for DUI and other traffic-related crimes. 

On 6/5/25, at approximately 6:58 p.m., Black Hawk officers attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle. The vehicle acted as if it was going to pull over, and then took off southbound on Highway 119 from mile marker 5.3. Officers did not pursue, and a report was taken. 

On 6/5/25, at approximately 8:33 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at 488 Main Street for a stop sign violation on Bobtail Road and Miners Mesa Road. The driver was given a verbal warning. 

On 6/5/25, at approximately 9:47 p.m., a Black Hawk police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 119 and mile marker 6 after observing the vehicle having expired plates. A driver was contacted and issued a penalty assessment. 

On 6/5/25, at approximately 10:15 p.m., a Black Hawk police officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle at the intersection of Main Street and Miners Mesa without its headlights on.

On 6/5/25, at approximately 10:11 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino at 488 Main Street, Black Hawk, on a report of a theft. Upon investigation, it was determined that a suspect had left the spa without paying the bill. Officers tracked down the suspect, and the suspect was issued a Municipal Summons for Theft. 

On 6/6/25, at approximately 12:14 p.m., an officer responded to a report of criminal mischief at the Monarch Casino and Hotel located at 488 Main Street, Black Hawk. Upon arrival the officer met with the surveillance operator who stated that on 5/31/25, a subject punched the elevator control box with his fist, causing $3650 worth of damage. The officer was able to identify the suspect and refer this case to investigations. 

On 6/6/25, at approximately 1:19 p.m., a Black Hawk police officer responded to Bally's West Casino on a report of harassment. Neither party wished to press charges, and a report was taken. 

On 6/6/25, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a physical disturbance in progress between a male and a female. After an investigation, a female was arrested for violation of a protection order, and a warrant was requested for the male for 3rd degree assault, domestic violence.

On 6/6/25, at approximately 10:54 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop. Upon investigation, the driver had a warrant and was taken into custody on the warrant and new drug charges. 

On 6/7/25, at approximately 12:48 a.m., Black Hawk police officers responded emergent to the Saratoga Casino located at 101 Main Street for an active physical fight in progress in the parking garage. Upon arrival and further investigation, it was determined that the altercation involved two females. A primary aggressor was identified based on witness accounts, surveillance footage, and she also had an active warrant. The primary aggressor was later arrested and transported to the Gilpin County Jail. 

On 6/7/25, at approximately 10:03 a.m., a Black Hawk officer responded to Bally's North for a counterfeit $5 bill. The bill was collected and the owner was identified and released. 

On 6/7/25, at approximately 4 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino cash cage at 488 Main Street for a counterfeit $10 bill. After the investigation, officers collected the bill from the suspect. 

On 6/7/25, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a damaged slot machine. A suspect was identified and will be issued a summons or warrant. 

On 6/7/25, officers responded to a disturbance in progress by the Horseshoe Casino between a male and a female. The male left before police arrived, but was identified by the female. A warrant will be issued for the male for 3rd degree assault/domestic violence. 

On 6/7/25, at approximately 8:43 a.m., while patrolling the parking garage of Bally's Casino, 255 Main Street, an officer observed a white Ford F150 bearing a plate licensed to a Plymouth Sedan. The officer made contact with the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle. He was advised and warned. 

On 6/7/25, officers received a call regarding the theft of a cellphone at the Monarch Casino located at 488 Main Street. The phone was recovered, and the suspect was cited. 

On 6/7/25, at approximately 12:05 p.m., officers assisted Gilpin County Sheriff with a possible burglary in progress at Spring Street. This case was referred to the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office. 

On 6/7/25, at 12:56 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle driving southbound on Highway 119 with expired license plates. Upon contact, the driver did not have insurance and was issued a Gilpin County Summons. 

On 6/7/25, at approximately 1:49 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle driving northbound on Highway 119 with expired license plates. Upon contact, the driver was cooperative and issued a Gilpin County Summons. 

On 6/6/25, at approximately 2:25 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino at 240 Main Street after narcotics were discovered. A suspect was located and arrested before being taken to the Gilpin County Jail. 

On 6/7/25, at approximately 4:48 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle due to the vehicle almost hitting an officer head-on while the vehicle passed on a double yellow line on a hill. The driver was issued a Gilpin County Summons. 

On 6/7/25, at approximately 5:23 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino at 111 Richman Street, on a report of a possible stolen purse. Upon investigating, the reporting party left the purse in a locker unsecured. No suspects were identified due to no camera footage in the locker room. A report was taken. 

On 6/7/25, at approximately 6:04 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to a hit-and-run on Highway 119 at mile marker 5.8. The driver was evaluated by Gilpin County Ambulance. The case is ongoing and active. No further information is available at this time. 

On 6/7/25, at approximately 7:50 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Z Casino Parking lot at 155 Selak Street, Black Hawk, on a dog at large in the parking lot. Upon investigation, the reporting party had secured the dog in the back of her vehicle. The dog was transported to the police department, and the owner later picked up the dog. 

On 6/7/25, at 9:26 p.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to a lockout at the Dakota Lot, located at 130 Main Street. Upon arrival, the officers came into contact with two individuals. The officer successfully gained access to the vehicle and retrieved the owner's keys, however, the officer still had possession of one of the driver's licenses. The party was contacted and made arrangements to retrieve their driver's license at a later date. 

On 6/8/25, at approximately 10:53 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to Horseshoe Casino at 401 Main Street for a vehicle accident on the fourth level of the garage. Officers were able to have the vehicle owners exchange information. 

On 6/8/25, at approximately 5:44 a.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to the Horseshoe Hotel located at 401 Main Street to assist with a medical call. Upon arrival, officers located the patient who was not conscious or breathing. Officers assisted in life-saving measures, but unfortunately, the patient was later pronounced deceased. 

On 6/8/25, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a hit-and-run traffic accident. There is no suspect information. 

On 6/8/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119 and mile marker 5.8. The driver was released on a verbal warning for speeding. 

On 6/8/25, Black Hawk officers responded to found drugs at the Ameristar Casino at 111 Richman Street. There was no suspect discovered on scene. Officers collected a small baggie of drugs and will be booking it to be destroyed. 

On 6/8/25, at approximately 11:50 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino, located at 488 Main Street, on a report of a theft. A suspect was identified and an investigation is ongoing. 

On 6/9/25, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to 488 Main Street on a report of a stolen wallet. Officers arrived and gathered suspect information. The suspect was not on scene. Officers are actively investigating this case. 

On 6/9/25, at approximately 1:07 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no tail lights displayed occurring at 6100 Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 6/9/25, at approximately 1:18 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for improper lane change and no tail lamps displayed occurring at Highway 119 and Miners Road. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 6/9/25, at approximately 4:04 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a theft. A suspect was identified and an investigation is ongoing. 

On 6/9/25, at approximately 4:41 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle with no number plate attached on the 300 block of Main Street. The driver was contacted and, after providing an explanation of their actions, was released on a verbal warning. A field interview report was completed. 

On 6/9/25, an officer took the telephone report of lost property in the 100 block of Main Street. The lost item was later found to have been turned into the Gilpin Casino. 

On 6/9/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department was on foot, searching for camping sites under the bridge of Highway 119 and mile marker 6. The officer contacted a male party walking around, who informed him he had not seen anyone in the area today, but had seen people in the past. The officer informed the male that there was no camping in the city of Black Hawk. There was no crime committed. 

On 6/9/25, an officer responded to Bally's parking garage regarding found property. The property included miscellaneous trash, clothing, and a laptop. The laptop was collected for further investigation and to be booked into evidence for safekeeping. 

On 6/9/25, an officer took a phone report regarding lost prescription medication. The reporting party was unsure if she lost her medication in Black Hawk or in Denver. She requested a police report for documentation to provide to her doctor in order to get a new prescription. 

On 6/9/25, at approximately 4:43 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino Hotel, for an argument between a male and female. The parties involved stated there was nothing physical and needed time to talk things out. 

On 6/9/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department took a phone report regarding damage to a vehicle on private property. The reporting party wanted a report for documentation but was working everything out civilly with the Lodge Casino. 

On 6/9/25, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to 101 Main Street on a report of an unwanted party on the property. Officers arrived and discovered the male party had drugs in his possession while on a protection order. Officers made an arrest and transported to the Gilpin County Jail. 

On 6/9/25, at approximately 9:08 p.m., officers responded to the area of the Ameristar Casino, located at 111 Richman Street, on a report of an intoxicated driver who had struck an unattended vehicle before leaving the parking garage. Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle, which failed to yield before coming to a stop at Highway 119 and Evergreen Road. The driver was arrested on DUI and other traffic charges and booked into jail. A report was completed. 

On 6/10/25, an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of an intoxicated party. After giving them a ride to the Horseshoe Casino, the party took a bus to Denver. 

On 6/10/25, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a theft. There is no suspect information at this time. 

On 6/10/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department took a report regarding a stolen wallet. The reporting party informed officers that transactions had been made with her credit cards in a different city. This case will remain active for further investigation. 

On 6/10/25, at approximately 4:19 p.m., Black Hawk officers took a phone report at 221 Church Street to the Black Hawk Police Department about an injury that occurred on 6/6/25 at the Horseshoe Casino parking garage. 

On 6/10/25, at approximately 5:53 p.m., a male was arrested at 221 Church Street, the Black Hawk Police Department, on a warrant. The party was transported to the Gilpin County Jail and booked in on the warrant. 

On 6/10/25, Black Hawk police were dispatched to 488 Main Street on a report of suspicious activity. Dispatch advised that there was a male attempting to gain access to a vehicle for an extended period of time. Officers arrived and discovered the male party was the vehicle owner. Officers cleared the scene. 

On 6/11/25, at 9:03 a.m., officers observed a vehicle with improperly mounted license plates at the intersection of Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was given a verbal warning. 

On 6/11/25, at approximately 12:32 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Dakota Lot at 245 Main Street, following a report of damaged property. Upon contacting the victim, it was discovered that there was an outstanding warrant for their arrest. The individual was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office. The damaged property case is still under active review. 

On 6/11/25, at approximately 2:35 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a traffic accident in the 6100 block of Highway 119. There were no reported injuries and no property damage. No further action was taken. 

On 6/11/25, an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino at 111 Richman Street, Black Hawk, for an unknown medical/intoxication issue. Upon arrival, the party was contacted and evaluated. 

On 6/11/25, at approximately 5:23 p.m., Black Hawk officers were on routine patrol on Highway 119 near mile marker 5.8 when they observed a male and female who appeared to be arguing outside of a vehicle. Upon investigation, the verbal argument was over music, and nothing physical or criminal occurred. 

On 6/11/25, at approximately 5:46 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched for a damaged property phone report. Upon investigation, the victim parked their vehicle at the Ameristar Garage at 111 Richman Street, Black Hawk, and a black Toyota Sienna followed them. A male got out and dumped liquid all over the passenger side of the victim's vehicle. A report was taken, and officers are attempting to identify a suspect. 

On 6/12/25, at approximately 1:45 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at 530 Gregory Street for a stop sign violation. The driver was given a verbal warning.

On 6/12/25, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino at 488 Main Street, for a reported harassment incident. An investigation was initiated, and a report was taken. 

On 6/12/25, at approximately 4:26 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired plates. The driver was issued a verbal warning. 

On 6/12/25, at 10:05 p.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to the Monarch Casino located at 488 Main Street on a report of an intoxicated party refusing to leave and threatening security. Upon further investigation, the intoxicated party was issued a Gilpin County Summons for Harassment and Disorderly Conduct before being transported to Detox. A report was completed. 

On 6/13/25, at approximately 12:54 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino at 488 Main Street, Black Hawk, on a report of a trespassed party on property. Upon investigation, the male is on the municipal court exclusion list. The male was issued a municipal summons and left the property. 

On 6/13/25, around 6:18 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a welfare check at the Ameristar Casino. On scene, they observed a male and female inside a vehicle with drug paraphernalia present. The female was arrested and the male was issued a summons and released. 

On 6/13/25, at approximately 7:30 a.m., an officer responded to the Monarch Casino, in reference to an intoxicated party. Based on the officers observations, they asked communications to have Gilpin EMS check by the location. The subject was transported to St. Anthony's Hospital for medical reasons. 

On 6/13/25, an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino, in reference to a stolen backpack. Upon further investigation the officer was able to capture the incident via surveillance footage. The officer am unable to identify the suspect at this time. 

On 6/13/25, at approximately 1:50 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino following a report of theft and property damage. Upon investigation, it was determined that there was no property damage, and the suspect returned most of the stolen items. The suspect was issued a Gilpin County summons. 

On 6/13/25, at approximately 4:19 p.m., Black Hawk officers observed a vehicle driving westbound on Main Street, making a left turn onto Gregory Street through a red light. The driver then entered Selak Street going the wrong way. The driver was issued a Gilpin County summons. No further action was taken. 

On 6/13/25, at approximately 5:28 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for displaying an expired temporary permit. The driver was issued a Gilpin County Summons. 

On 6/13/25, at approximately 6:13 p.m., a Black Hawk officer conducted a traffic stop for a red light violation. 

On 6/14/25, at approximately 1:36 a.m., a Black Hawk police officer was conducting an area check at the Dakota Lot. The officer was approached by a couple who requested assistance with a vehicle lockout. It was later discovered that an active protection order was in place and the restrained party was arrested without incident. 

On 6/14/25, at approximately 4:41 a.m., a Black Hawk police officer responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a stolen backpack taken from the casino floor. Upon further investigation and with the help of surveillance, a suspect has been identified. The suspect, however, could not be located, and the investigation is still ongoing. 

On 6/14/25, at approximately 7:43 a.m., a Black Hawk police officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle at the intersection of Gregory and Bobtail without a license plate. A driver was contacted, and upon further investigation, it was determined that the driver had recently bought the vehicle from a third party. The driver was issued a verbal warning, and a field interview report was completed. 

On 6/14/25, at approximately 8:12 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Saratoga Casino on a report of a fraudulent $100 bill with a suspect on scene. The bill was confiscated, and a report was taken. 

On 6/14/25, at approximately 10:21 p.m., Black Hawk officers heard a tram driver get on the police department radio stating that there was a black Jeep that had been down Main Street three times on the accelerator. Officers later located a vehicle matching the description, and the occupant stated it was his friend. The plate on the Jeep came back with no registration information. The driver was later issued a verbal warning. 

On 6/15/25, at approximately 12:34 a.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to the Saratoga Casino regarding a witnessed assault between two sisters. Upon further investigation, a primary aggressor was identified and was later transported to the Gilpin County Jail. A report was completed. 

On 6/15/25, at approximately 2:48 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Bull Durham Casino on a report of a disturbance in a vehicle. Upon investigation, officers contracted three parties. A male and a female were taken into custody on new charges to include violation of protection orders and identity theft. 

On 6/15/25, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of an intoxicated party. The involved party left without issue and was later able to meet with a sober party for a ride home. 

On 6/15/25, officers responded to Miner's Road and Main Street regarding a verbal argument over car keys. The keys were returned to the owner and a female was detained and released on no charges. 

On 6/15/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Bull Durham Casino regarding the theft of a cellphone. The suspect was contacted later on the phone. This case will remain active for further investigation. 

On 6/15/25 at approximately 9:13 p.m., an officer was flagged down on a report of an intoxicated driver in the Dakota Lot. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and determined that the driver was not intoxicated. A field interview report was completed. 

On 6/15/25 at approximately 10:49 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a trespassing party. The suspect was contacted and issued a summons. A report was completed.

On 6/15/25, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a northbound REDDI report on Highway 119. Officers observed the described vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was placed into custody for DUI and released to detox on a summons. 

On 6/16/25, at approximately 11:09 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an unsecured passenger in a truck bed occurring at Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 6/16/25, at approximately 11:24 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display tail lamps occurring at 6100 Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 6/16/25, a sergeant conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle with an expired registration displayed. DMV confirmed valid registration, and the driver was released on a warning. 

On 6/16/25, at approximately 11:59 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop for no tail lamps occurring at Gregory Street and Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 6/16/25, Black Hawk officers responded to 111 Richman Street for a report of a theft inside a hotel room. Officers conducted an investigation and discovered and recovered some property. Officers will be booking in recovered property. 

On 6/17/25, at approximately 12:21 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired registration occurring at 6100 Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 6/17/25, at approximately 3:48 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a gaming call. Suspect information was contacted and a field interview report was completed. 

On 6/17/25, an officer took the telephone report of a harassment/protection order violation that had occurred on 6/13/25, at the Monarch Casino. There is suspect information, case is active. 

On 6/17/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department spoke with a male party who wanted to report a possible harassment. The male did not want to press charges, but a report was taken for documentation. 

On 6/17/25, at approximately 7:17 p.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to 401 the Horseshoe Casino for an animal call. The owner of the dogs was trespassed from the casino and asked to leave. 

On 6/17/25, at approximately 9:50 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no headlights illuminated occurring at 6100 Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 6/18/25, at approximately 1:14 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of harassment. An investigation determined that no crime had occurred. A report was completed. 

On 6/18/25, Black Hawk officers responded to 111 Richman Street for agency assistance for the Idaho Springs Police Department. Idaho Springs police requested that we take a suspect with domestic violence charges into custody and transfer her to their custody. Officers took the suspect into custody and transported her to Idaho Springs police custody. 

On 6/18/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department took a report on found drugs at the Monarch Hotel. The case will remain active for further investigation. 

On 6/18/25, at approximately 3:21 a.m., officers responded to the Lodge Hotel on a report of a stolen vehicle. Officers contacted the reporting party and suspect, determined the incident had already been reported, and no probable cause existed for arrest. A report was completed. 

On 6/18/25, an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino parking garage for damage to a parked vehicle. The scene was investigated, and a report was taken. 

On 6/18/25, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle performing an illegal right turn on Main Street. The driver was given a warning. 

On 6/18/25, at approximately 3:51 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 at Main Street due to an expired license plate. Upon making contact, it was discovered that the driver did not have a valid driver's license. The driver was issued a Gilpin County summons. 

On 6/18/25, at approximately 4:16 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driving southbound Highway 119 without properly displayed license plates. The driver was issued a warning, and no further action was taken. 

On 6/18/25, at approximately 4:25 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failing to move over or slow down when officers were on the side of the highway with their emergency lights activated. The driver was issued a verbal warning with coaching. 

On 6/18/25, at approximately 5:25 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 119, due to expired plates. The driver received a verbal warning, and no further action was taken. 

On 6/18/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119 and mile marker 6.0. The driver was released on a verbal warning for a defective headlight. 

On 6/18/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department conducted a traffic stop on the 100 block of Richman Street. The driver was released on a verbal warning for running a red light.

On 6/18/25, at approximately 6:27 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for weaving. When clearing the plate, there was no record found. Upon investigation, the Department of Motor Vehicles added an additional "7" on the registration. The driver was issued a verbal warning. 

On 6/18/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119 and mile marker 5.8. The driver was released on a verbal warning for not using turn signals. 

On 6/18/25, at approximately 7:04 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119, due to expired license plates. The driver was issued a verbal warning, and no further action was taken. 

On 6/19/25, at approximately 8:52 p.m., a Black Hawk police officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle driving past the Red Dolly Casino without a license plate. The driver was contacted, and upon further investigation, it was determined that the driver had recently bought the vehicle from a third party. The driver was issued a verbal warning, and a field interview report was completed. 

On 6/19/25, Black Hawk officers received a Be On the Look Out (BOLO) from Adams County stating they were looking for a suicidal female who indicated she was traveling to the area of Black Hawk. Officers performed an area check of the parking garage at 401 Main Street and located the female party. Officers placed her into protective custody and was later transported by EMS to an area hospital. Officers cleared the scene. 

On 6/19/25, at approximately 2:50 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino, on a report of found drugs with a suspect on property. The suspect was contacted and issued a summons. A report was completed. 

On 6/19/25, Black Hawk police were dispatched to 488 Main Street on a report of a male party possessing a fraudulent identification card. When officers arrived, they discovered the suspect had fled the property and left the city. Officers gathered evidence and cleared the scene. 

On 6/19/25, an officer was approached by the city of Black Hawk's Streets Department superintendent regarding a damage to property case. According to the superintendent, a bus driver struck the side of a building, damaging a shuttle bus. 

On 6/19/25 at approximately 12:43 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino for found narcotics. The narcotics and paraphernalia were seized and taken into evidence. Officers attempted to contact the suspect to issue a Gilpin County summons. No further action was taken. 

On 6/19/25, at approximately 2:40 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the Monarch Spa for a theft incident. The scene was investigated and a report taken. 

On 6/19/25, at approximately 6:06 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Hotel for found drug paraphernalia. The contents were not identified as paraphernalia and will be destroyed. No further actions were taken. 

On 6/19/25, at approximately 8:20 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 119 at mile marker 6. The vehicle had no license plate. Upon making contact with the driver, it was discovered that the driver did not have valid registration or proof of insurance. As a result, the driver was issued a Gilpin County summons. 

On 6/19/25, at approximately 8:36 p.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to the Ameristar on a report of a domestic disturbance that occurred in the parking garage elevator. Upon further investigation, a couple was contacted, and a primary aggressor was determined. The primary aggressor was arrested and later transported to the Gilpin County Jail without incident. 

On 6/19/25, at approximately 10:38 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of an intoxicated party who got into a vehicle. Shortly after, the vehicle was on the move. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was placed into custody for Driving Under the Influence, and was later transported to detox. 

On 6/20/25, at approximately 7:31 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an expired temporary tag. Upon contact, the driver had a suspended driver's license. The driver was issued a Gilpin County Summons and a proof of service. 

6/20/25, an officer was assigned a cold harassment case involving a female who made threatening statements to a male party. No evidence of the incident occurring was found. 

On 6/20/25, at 10:05 a.m., officers observed a vehicle with expired plates at 6000 Highway 119. Upon stopping, the driver had a warrant. The driver was arrested. 

On 6/20/25, officers conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Main Street for a vehicle driving slow and stopping in the lane of traffic. The driver was given a warning for impeding traffic. 

On 6/20/25, at approximately 2:19 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that made an unsafe U-turn at Main Street and Highway 119. The driver was issued a verbal warning, and no further action was taken. 

On 6/20/25, Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 due to expired license plates. The driver received a warning, and no further action was taken. 

On 6/20/25, at approximately 3:09 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling southbound without a license plate. The driver provided the necessary documentation, and no further action was taken. 

On 6/20/25, at approximately 7:06 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had an obstructed license plate. The driver was released with a verbal warning. 

On 6/20/25, at approximately 9:50 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driving southbound on Highway 119 with no headlights. The driver was issued a verbal warning. 

On 6/20/25, at approximately 10:07 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 119 due to the absence of headlights. The driver received a verbal warning. 

On 6/21/25, at approximately 12:20 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a wallet that was turned in, and possible narcotics found inside the wallet. Upon investigation, a suspect was tracked down and was issued a Gilpin County Summons. 

On 6/21/25, at approximately 2:35 a.m., officers with the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Ameristar Casino to investigate a bag of suspected narcotics that were found on the casino floor. Upon further investigation, the alleged narcotics were determined to be cocaine, and a suspect was located. The suspect was issued a county summons, and a report was completed. 

On 6/21/26, at approximately 6:19 a.m., an officer was patrolling the Nest at Black Hawk construction campground. While patrolling the gravel dirt road, the officer jumped a newly paved curb which managed to deflate both the front tires on the officer's patrol vehicle. A report was completed. 

On 6/21/25, officers responded to the Lodge Casino parking lot on a possible assault. After an investigation, it was determined that the argument was verbal, and no criminal charges existed. 

On 6/21/25, at approximately 10:36 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a guest who made concerning statements. A report was taken. 

On 6/21/25, a police vehicle's Automated License Plate Reader System alerted to a vehicle wanted by Denver Police for a felony menacing at 6000 Highway 119. The vehicle was also exceeding the posted speed limit. The vehicle was stopped and impounded. 

On 6/21/25, at approximately 5:01 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino on a report of a disturbance that had just occurred. Upon investigation, one female spat on another female. The female who spat was issued a municipal summons for harassment. 

On 6/21/25, at approximately 5:19 p.m., officers observed a vehicle disregard a stop sign at the intersection of Bobtail and Miners Road. The driver was issued a warning. 

On 6/21/25, at approximately 6:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Dakota Lot for a theft. The suspect was located, and the property was returned. The suspect was issued a Municipal Summons. 

On 6/21/25, at approximately 7:23 p.m., officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle that entered the Ameristar parking garage. The driver evaded the stop, and the case remains inactive at this time. 

On 6/21/25, at approximately 10:58 p.m., officers responded to Level 4 of the Ameristar parking garage, regarding a report of a male and female fighting. Upon arrival, both parties were already separated, and after an investigation, it was determined that the argument had been verbal, and no criminal charges were filed. 

On 6/22/25, at approximately 2:11 p.m., officers were patrolling the Dakota Lot when they came across a male sleeping in his truck. Officers confirmed the male's well-being and gave him a verbal warning for camping in the city. A field interview report was completed. 

On 6/22/25, at approximately 3:45 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 119 and mile marker 6 with an obstructed license plate. Upon further investigation it was determined that the plate was obstructed due to a dark license plate cover. The driver was contacted and issued a verbal warning. A field interview report was completed. 

On 6/22/25, at approximately 4:58 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle without their head lights on at the intersection of Richman Street and Highway 119. The driver was contacted and issued a verbal warning after correcting the issue. A field interview report was completed. 

On 6/22/25, at approximately 12:53 p.m., an officer completed a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to stop and yield ROW when exiting the Ameristar Casino Garage. The driver was given a verbal warning. 

On 6/22/25, at approximately 1:30 p.m., an officer completed a traffic stop for obstructed view. The passenger was identified and found to have a non-extraditable warrant out of Weld County. The driver was given a warrant for the traffic violation. 

On 6/22/25, officers were contacted by the Ameristar Casino to report a possible domestic violence incident. Officers spoke with both parties involved, who stated it was a verbal argument only as there was no indication of a struggle or damage. Officers cleared the scene. 

On 6/22/25, at approximately 10:55 p.m., officers responded to Highway 119 mile marker 5.8 for suspicious activity. Two parties reported that the other was suspicious because they were both parked near an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle had been red-tagged by CSP, and there were no signs of entry. 

On 6/23/25, at approximately 10:05 p.m., officers responded to a request to check the welfare of an individual who may be experiencing a mental health crisis. Officers made contact with the party, who was voluntarily transported to the hospital. A field interview report was completed. 

On 6/23/25, police responded to a trespassed party at Monarch Casino. Officers issued a summons and cleared the scene. 

On 6/23/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department conducted a traffic stop in a white Jeep that was not displaying a license plate. The driver presented an up-to-date temporary tag and was released. 

On 6/23/25, at approximately 6:52 p.m., officers initiated a traffic stop on Highway 119 mile marker 5.8. The vehicle's driver was driving at a high rate of speed in the 400 block of Main Street. The driver was given a warning and released. 

On 6/24/25, at approximately 1:09 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of expired license plates occurring at Highway 119 and Main Street. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 6/24/25, officers observed a vehicle traveling south on Highway 119. The vehicle was not maintaining its lane while continuing south. Officers conducted a traffic stop and checked on the status of the driver. Officers issued a warning and cleared the scene. 

On 6/25/25, Black Hawk Police were dispatched to a trespasser at 401 Main Street. Officers made contact with the suspect and, after brief statements, dispatched Gilpin Ambulance Authority to medically clear this party. Once cleared, the suspect was issued a summons to court and released. 

On 6/25/25, at approximately 2:44 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no headlights displayed occurring at 6100 Highway 119. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 6/25/25, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino for a counterfeit bill. Upon investigation completion, the item was collected, and a report was taken. 

On 6/25/25, officers observed a vehicle with an unreadable temporary tag in the 500 block of Gregory Street. The driver was given a warning. 

On 6/25/25, an officer responded to the Horseshoe parking garage on the report of a theft. The reporting party stated that his driver's side-view mirror was stolen. The party was told that the officer would be checking with surveillance to determine a suspect. 

On 6/25/25, at approximately 3:05 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired plates. The driver was issued a Gilpin County summons. 

On 6/25/25, an officer conducted a traffic stop on the 200 block of Main Street. The driver was released after presenting a valid temporary tag for his vehicle. 

On 6/25/25, at approximately 7:14 p.m., Black Hawk officers initiated a traffic stop for a vehicle that made an illegal U-turn on Highway 119 and Black Hawk Street. The driver was given a warning and released. 

On 6/25/25, at approximately 8:32 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a medical call with CPR in progress. After multiple rounds of CPR, the patient stabilized enough to be transported by Flight For Life, and a report was taken. 

On 6/26/25, Black Hawk officers observed a suspicious vehicle parked at the Rim Rock parking lot. Officers advised the female party that this was private property and she could not stay overnight. Officers cleared the scene. 

On 6/26/24, an officer responded to a theft of property that occurred at the Ameristar Hotel. No suspect has been identified. 

On 6/26/25, an officer responded to a call involving a party driving under the influence out of the Horseshoe Casino. After a traffic stop was conducted, I spoke to the driver, and he told me that his passenger had been asked to leave the casino floor for being intoxicated. The officer did not find any indicators that the driver was under the influence.

On 6/26/25, an officer conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle that ran a red light. The driver stated that he was not familiar with the area and that he was confused about where to go. He was given a warning. 

On 6/26/25, at approximately 4:32 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling northbound Miners Road for failing to turn from a turn lane only. The driver was issued a verbal warning. 

On 6/26/25, at approximately 4:37 p.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired plates. The driver was issued a Gilpin County penalty assessment. 

On 6/26/25, at approximately 5:04 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to a medical emergency at the Ameristar Casino. The individual was evaluated by medics and released but was unable to drive. Someone without a license ended up driving, leading to a traffic stop and a citation being issued. 

On 6/26/25, at approximately 10:24 p.m., a Black Hawk police officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle run a stop sign while exiting the Horseshoe parking garage. A driver was contacted and issued a penalty assessment. A field interview report was completed. 

On 6/26/25, at approximately 10:53 p.m., a Black Hawk police officer conducted a traffic stop after being almost hit by a vehicle at the Richman and Highway 119 intersection. The officer was traveling northbound on Highway 119 through the intersection, while the suspect vehicle turned left onto Richman from southbound Highway 119, failing to yield. A very apologetic driver was contacted and deemed not intoxicated. They were issued a verbal warning. A field interview report was completed. 

On 6/27/25, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at Highway 119 and mile marker 6, for a broken right tail light. The driver was given a verbal warning. 

On 6/27/25, at approximately 1:34 a.m., officers with the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Ameristar Hotel, for a report of a physical altercation that had taken place but was no longer active. Upon further investigation, this was determined to be a domestic violence incident, and the primary aggressor was taken into custody. The primary aggressor was later transported to the Gilpin County Jail, and a report was completed. 

On 6/27/25, at approximately 3:59 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino for found drugs. Upon arrival, Black Hawk officers located the suspect after an investigation. Black Hawk Officers wrote a summons for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance. 

On 6/27/25, at approximately 6:16 a.m., officers were dispatched to a disturbance outside Bally's North Casino. Two parties were identified, and one was arrested for violating a protection order. 

On 6/27/25, approximately at 10:10 a.m., officers took a report of a theft of property that occurred on 6/25/25, at the Monarch Casino. A report was taken. 

On 6/27/25, at approximately 12:49 p.m., a Black Hawk police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no visible plate. The officer later released the driver with a citation. 

On 6/27/25, at approximately 3:12 p.m., an individual came to the Black Hawk Police Department to request a report. This party had three warrants, for which he was arrested. 

On 6/27/25, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of found drugs. The item was later determined to be baking soda, and no criminal charges were filed. 

On 6/27/25, at approximately 5:10 p.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of found gift cards. The cards were seized for safekeeping, pending investigations. A suspect was identified, and all information obtained from them is reported. 

On 6/27/25, at approximately 11:07 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino for a theft of $400 out of a wallet. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, who stated she did not want to press charges if she could get back her money. During the investigation, officers were able to locate the suspect. The suspect did pay restitution for the full amount. 

On 6/28/25, at approximately 12:29 a.m., a Black Hawk police officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle swerving while traveling southbound from the Richman and Highway 119 intersection. The driver was contacted, and upon further investigation, it was determined that they were not intoxicated. The driver was issued a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed. 

On 6/28/25, at approximately 12:44 a.m., a Black Hawk police officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 119 and mile marker 6 with an obstructed license plate. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the plate was obstructed due to a dark license plate cover. The driver was contacted and issued a verbal warning. A field interview report was completed. 

On 6/28/25, at approximately 1:04 a.m., Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at Highway 119 and mile marker   5.8, for crossing over double yellow lines coming out of the Red Dolly parking lot to go westbound on Gregory Street. The driver then turned right from Gregory Street, going southbound on Highway 119, and proceeded into the outer turn lane. The driver was issued a verbal warning. 

On 6/28/25, at approximately 2:51 a.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to the Monarch parking garage regarding an active physical disturbance. Once on the scene, the two parties were separated, and upon further investigation, it was determined that no crime had been committed. However, a witness to this incident was contacted and found to have an active warrant. The witness was taken into custody and transported to the Gilpin County Jail. A report was completed. 

On 6/28/25, officers responded to the Ameristar Casino to investigate a physical disturbance. A male was arrested for Assault in the Third Degree (Domestic Violence).

On 6/28/25, at approximately 3:53 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for a report of fraud. Officers reviewed the footage and determined that no criminal activity had occurred. The case status will be marked as unfounded. 

On 6/28/25, at approximately 4:03 p.m., Black Hawk officers were doing routine patrol with the License Plate Reader when the reader hit on a vehicle with an attempt to locate. Officers assisted the other agency. 

On 6/28/25, at approximately 10:35 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino in response to a hit-and-run report. The case status is currently active. 

On 6/28/25, at approximately 8:50 p.m., officers of the Black Hawk Police Department responded emergently to Highway 119 and mile marker 4, to assist Gilpin County with an unknown-injury traffic accident. Once on scene, officers assisted in traffic control and ensured that there were no injuries to those involved in the accident. The Colorado State Patrol is currently investigating the accident. 

On 6/28/25, at approximately 9:28 p.m., officers observed a vehicle stop on the highway at a roadblock. The driver shut off their vehicle and went to sleep. The driver was contacted, agreed to roadside tests, and determined to be sober but tired. The driver was given a warning but advised to get rest. 

On 6/28/25, at approximately 9:40 p.m., Black Hawk officers were doing traffic control at Main Street and Highway 119, when a driver turning right westbound from Highway 119 onto Main Street proceeded to finish the turn but decided to turn left and drove over the median on Main Street to go southbound to get back onto Highway 119. Officers conducted a traffic stop with the driver and issued a penalty assessment. 

On 6/28/25, at approximately 10:41 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for a theft of a cell phone that occurred at approximately 3:13 p.m. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the victim, who stated the phone was taken off one of the slot machines. After the investigation, officers received suspect information from Monarch surveillance. Officers tried to call the suspect. After the phone was not answered, a voicemail was left. 

On 6/29/25, at approximately 12:05 a.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to the Ameristar Casino regarding an intoxicated party refusing to leave the gaming floor and arguing with casino staff. Officers contacted the intoxicated party, who refused to leave and began becoming verbally aggressive with officers. The intoxicated party was issued a county summons for disorderly conduct and trespassing before being released to a sober party. A report was completed. 

On 6/29/25, at approximately 6:42 a.m., an officer observed a male sitting on the curb in front of the Lady Luck Hotel. The male subject was crying and appeared upset. The male was contacted and advised he gambled too much money and was upset. He calmed down and went to his vehicle and left the city. 

On 6/29/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119 and mile marker 6 on a traffic infraction that occurred at mile marker 5.8. The driver was released on a verbal warning for improper lane merging. 

On 6/29/25, at approximately 11:29 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a disturbance at the Ameristar garage. Upon arrival, officers were unable to locate either party in the garage. After the investigation, officers were able to locate a victim of a domestic disturbance that had happened prior, on the 35th level of the hotel near the pool bathrooms. The victim was in a different hotel room. After talking to the victim, officers were unable to find the suspect and determine the suspect's name. This case will still be active. 

On 6/30/25, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to lost property at 240 Main Street. Officers spoke with the reporting party and are conducting a review for lost property. 

On 6/30/25, an officer responded to the public works building on the report of damage to city property. A city-owned vehicle sustained damage when it struck a deer on the Central City Parkway. 

On 6/30/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department took a report at the Lodge Casino regarding a damaged slot machine. The officer contacted the suspect, and they requested a civil solution. The casino agreed to work it out civilly and have the suspect pay restitution. 

On 6/30/25, an officer from the Black Hawk Police Department responded to the Horseshoe Casino regarding a lost cell phone. The case will remain active for further investigation. 

On 6/30/25, officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino to assist the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department in locating a suspect vehicle involved in a felony menacing in their jurisdiction. The driver was located, taken into custody, and released when a firearm was not located in his possession. 

On 6/30/25, Black Hawk officers responded to 111 Richman Street for a welfare check request. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the involved parties who were sleeping in the hotel. Officers cleared the scene. 

On 6/30/25, Black Hawk officers responded to assist the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office involving an occupied suspicious vehicle. Gilpin deputies observed a female party with a firearm inside. Officers approached the vehicle while giving commands. The female party was unresponsive to commands and was observed to have a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Officers stayed on scene until the coroner took over the scene.
