by my friend who is a plumber
our old one was broken
and for months we suffered
short showers
and shivering exits into cold air

and out comes water

for a moment I watch it pour

this luxury we forget is a luxury
how rare is it
for something to be

and enjoyable
I step into the water
and let the heat
wash the day
wash the world away
