Families spent a sunny Sunday casting lines. On June 7, they learned the basics of fishing and enjoyed snacks, prizes, and time outdoors during Gilpin County Parks & Recreation's Free Fishing Clinic at William C. Russell Park in Central City. The event was held in conjunction with Colorado Parks and Wildlife's Free Fishing Weekend, allowing participants to fish without a license while learning basic angling techniques in the recently stocked pond.
