Dear Editor,

I am writing to add my endorsement of Mary Lorenz to be re-elected to the office of Gilpin County Treasurer.

Mary is the only candidate who has actual on-the-job experience within that office. She was carefully trained by her predecessor, under whom she served as chief deputy, and went on to be elected in her own right.

Mary has a demonstrated history of administration of the intricacies and detailed requirements that the office demands. She has trained and taught her staff well and we in the public enjoy the benefit as a result of her efforts.

I hope the voters will agree that demonstrated competence and ability should be appreciated and retained.
