Trooper Tips: Winter has come

The iconic phrase “Winter is coming” was first uttered on television in 2011 on the popular show Game of Thrones. However, the great state of Colorado has already seen its first snowfall in the mountains.

Shortly before 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10, Timberline Fire Protection District, Gilpin Ambulance Authority, and the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to multiple reports of a wildfire near 1400 Shoshoni Camp Road, north of Rollinsville.
