Dear Editor,
I am pleased to offer my strong recommendation for Mary Lorenz for the position of Gilpin County Treasurer.
I had the privilege of working for Mary Lorenz in the Treasurer’s Office, where I was able to observe firsthand both her professional abilities and her character as a leader. During my time working with her, I found her to be an exceptionally caring, dedicated, and highly competent Treasurer.
Mary Lorenz understood the responsibilities of the Treasurer’s Office and carried them out with professionalism, diligence, and great attention to detail. She was knowledgeable about the financial responsibilities of the office and approached important decisions thoughtfully and responsibly.
Mary treated employees with respect and kindness and understood that the work of the Treasurer’s Office ultimately affects the people and the community her employees serve. She was approachable, compassionate, and willing to listen, while still maintaining the high standards necessary to effectively perform the responsibilities of the office.
Having worked directly for her, I saw the integrity and commitment she brought to her position. She understood the importance of accountability, responsible financial management, and maintaining the public's trust. She did not take the responsibilities of her office lightly.
I believe these qualities—competence, integrity, compassion, sound judgment, and a genuine commitment to public service—are exactly what Gilpin County needs in its Treasurer. Based on my firsthand experience working with Mary Lorenz, I am confident that she would continue to serve Gilpin County with the same dedication and professionalism that I witnessed during my time in her office.
I am honored to recommend Mary Lorenz and strongly support her candidacy for Treasurer. I believe she has the knowledge, experience, character, and commitment necessary to serve the people of Gilpin County exceptionally well.
Sincerely,
Cate Gremillion
