Dear Editor and Nature Dance community!
Let's get together and dance outside again! A lot of us are missing the snow this winter, but one advantage is that it's easier to dance outside. And maybe we can do a little snow dance!
I will have a playlist full of songs to get you moving, breathing, and feeling connected with different kinds of loveālove for yourself, for nature, for your friends, for the community, for your beloved(s), and for music. The second playlist will be curated by my 8 year old daughter and will have some good kids' hits, so bring the kids!
We will stick with the small loop trail around the lake. It's best if you can come on time and meet us in the parking lot, but if you are running late, come on out and look for the dancers. We will go clockwise this time. I'll bring some extra headphones for you!
You're Invited!
Silent Disco Nature Dance at Mud Lake outside of Nederland!
Get ready to groove in nature at our Silent Disco Nature Dance! Join us for a unique experience where you can dance through the trails with headphones on, listening to some danceable tunes. It's a unique way to enjoy music, nature, people, and exercise all at once. This event is perfect for all levels whether you are an avid dancer or hiker or beginner. Grab your friends and let's dance!
Date: Saturday, February 14 at 11 a.m.
Location: Mud Lake - Kinnickinnic Trailhead near Nederland. For a map to the trailhead/parking area where we will meet, go here:
Itinerary:
10:55-11:10 a.m. - Collect your headphones and warm up in the parking lot - meet up near the trail map sign
11:10 a.m. - Leave for dance hike
12:30 p.m. - We will be back at the parking lot where you can hand your headphones in and head on your merry way!
What to bring:
Bring a friend! I have 30 headphones - if we run out, someone can always rock out to their own playlist (bring your earbuds just in case).
Wear layers that can be tied around your waist if you get warm, and comfortable waterproof hiking boots/winter boots.
Colorful clothes and silly costume accessories are always welcome but not necessary.
Small backpack for carrying water (you might get thirsty) Water straws/camelbacks or fanny packs with water are great for this!
A cash donation (suggested $10-20) or venmo @laurarose-boyle
Bad weather - if it is below 20 degrees or super windy or snowing heavy, the dance will be canceled. Please RSVP at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/valentines-day-silent-disco-nature-dance-in-nederland-february-14-tickets-1982644348618?utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&utm-medium=discovery&utm-term=listing&utm-source=cp&aff=ebdsshcopyurl so I can notify you if it is canceled or moved inside. I will update the Eventbrite page 2 hours before the event if the event is cancelled or moved.
I hope to boogie with you soon!
With Love,
