COAL CREEK CANYON - Santa Claus came to the Coal Creek Canyon Improvement Association Hall at 31528 Highway 72 for the annual Santa Paws event on Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Santa sat on his throne as he welcomed guests with their dogs, cats, and goats.
Suzy Schemel said they sold out, counting 22 guests and their pets who registered for the event. Two more were walk-ins. Most guests registered ahead of time and were given a time slot to have a photograph of their pets taken with Santa.
When they arrived at the hall, guests entered through the kitchen, where they were greeted by Schemel. They then entered the main room where Santa was sitting. Schemel, Shelley Peters, Jay Schaller, and Bruce Goodwin helped guide visitors through the process, helping them pose for their much-desired photos.
Upcoming events at the Hall include Open Mic on January 3 and the 26th annual Chilifest on February 1. “Join us and judge as we all enjoy the best chili sampling across the front range,” says the invitation to the event.
