FERNCLIFF — If you're looking for a place that will have you coming back for great tasting food and comforting service, you should check out the Peak to Peak Grill.
After her last renters were unable to keep their restaurants open, Holly Moore decided to establish one herself. Located in Ferncliff, just off the Peak to Peak Highway near Allenspark, the Peak to Peak Grill is a one-of-a-kind find.
Moore feels that opening the grill fills a niche that was left after another restaurant closed in the area. The grill only has one competitor, and the other two local restaurants in the area are friends and believe there is enough business to go around.
The Peak to Peak Grill is right outside of Allenspark, on the way to Lyons and Estes Park. This puts it in a great location for those traveling from one peak to the other. It is focused on creating a welcoming family environment, so you can enjoy a comforting meal tucked into the Colorado Rockies.
The restaurant opened on May 14 this year and has already received many positive reviews. One couple said the buffalo wings they had there were better than ones they had in Buffalo, New York. Moore’s secret buffalo sauce could be the reason.
You will find a generous array of food there: sandwiches, soups, sides, and 1/3-pound elk or bison burgers. Moore’s favorite meal is the steak sandwich, which also has positive reviews from customers.
When Moore was hiring for the restaurant, she was looking for a team that could serve with both quality and consistency, so Cody Darnell and Johnny Garrison delivered. And what can make an already delicious, hearty meal even better? The personal approach that each meal gets from the two-man team that regularly receives “rave reviews” from customers.
After a long day of enjoying the beauty of the Peak to Peak area, you can thoroughly enjoy your lunch or dinner at the Peak to Peak Grill.
The restaurant is located at 1083 Highway 7, Business Loop, Unit C, Allenspark. You can reach them by phone at 970-541-4207.
