Dear Editor,
The Nederland Farmers Market would like to extend our most sincere thanks to everyone who helped make our Party in the Peaks Farmers Market Festival such a success this past Sunday.
Navigating the logistical labyrinth of an event like this is no small feat, and a massive thank you goes to our friends at Town Hall—especially Jonathan Cain, Macy Caligaris, and Nicki Koch—who helped us trudge through the muck, right down to the very last minute.
Another group that went to bat for us was our incredible vendors, who showed grace and flexibility as we worked to get everyone registered, placed, and settled in. Our vendors truly are the heart and soul of the market, and we're lucky to have such a creative, talented, fun, and diverse group sharing their work with our community.
A big thank you also goes to the businesses that both celebrated—and tolerated—the unique challenges that come with throwing a party in the middle of their regular business day. Max and Bri at Spinning Silica and Matt at the Alpaca Store immediately come to mind. We appreciate your patience, your support, and your willingness to be part of the fun.
Finally, thank you to all of our incredible customers—our community. For ten years, you've continued to show up, support our organization, and champion our amazing, dedicated, kick-ass vendors. We hope you had as much fun at the party as we did.
We'll be doing this shenanigan all over again on October 4 for Harvest Fest, so mark your calendars and get ready for another fun celebration. Until then, we'll keep on keepin' on with our weekly markets and mini-markets—you know the drill.
And one last thing: if you like to eat and you enjoy pizza and beer, consider joining us for a fundraiser at Crosscut Pizzeria & Taphouse on Thursday, August 26, from 5 – 8 p.m.
We love you all. See you around!
Kipp Nash
