Dear Readers,

We want to let you know that on March 21 we will be showing “Stripped for Parts: American journalism on the Brink” (2023), a documentary by Rick Goldsmith. This film explores a secretive hedge fund buying and “gutting” American newspapers. With the billionaires buying up the media, trying to understand how they are doing it is important.

Also showing another documentary, “Manufacturing Chaos,” which explores the global rise of misinformation. Combined running time: 2 hr. 15 min.

There is no admission; popcorn and snacks provided. Everyone is welcome.

Gilpin County Library. Doors open 1:45 p.m., movie starts promptly at 2 p.m. Use of the Gilpin County Library meeting space does not constitute endorsement of the group, organization, or program by the Gilpin County Library.
