Dear Editor,
Corey Marshall, a fourth-generation Coloradan, rancher, and businessman, announced his campaign for Colorado State Senate District 8. Marshall has spent his life working the land, building businesses, and raising a family in the mountains of Gilpin County.
“I’m not a politician – I’m a rancher and a businessman whose life has revolved around feeding livestock before sunrise, making payroll, and raising a family in these mountains,” said Marshall. “I’m running because the politicians in Denver have forgotten who they work for. They tax us, regulate us, and tell us how to live our lives, and it’s everyday Coloradans who pay the price.”
“Our district deserves a state senator who will stand up to Denver’s abuse of everyday people and put Coloradans first,” said Marshall.
“I’ll fight to make life affordable, defend our Western heritage and way of life, and make sure the working families of this district finally have a voice at the Capitol.”
Marshall’s family has farmed and ranched in Colorado for more than 115 years, and he carries on that heritage today at Rudolph Ranch, his ranch in Gilpin County. A graduate of Columbine High School and Colorado State University, Marshall has spent his career building businesses, creating jobs, and solving problems. Whether on the ranch or in business, Marshall knows what it means to work hard, keep your word, and be accountable for results. He also founded Tivoli Brewing Company, reviving Colorado’s oldest brewery and growing it into a successful company.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Marshall and his wife raised their two children in Gilpin County, where he has spent decades giving back to his community – coaching kids, serving local families, and helping build and maintain public trails for all Coloradans to enjoy.
