Dear Editor,
As a member of the SAB, I would like to make some statements reported in the article “Ned codifies citizen donations,” clearer for the readers.
The SAB did NOT recommend the use of grant funds to purchase AI sorting bins. The SAB has not agreed to “promote” these bins. The BoT directed the Sustainability Coordinator to write a grant for these bins without any such recommendations from the SAB nor Zero-Waste Subcommittee.
I am not speaking to the viewpoints nor opinions of the SAB. I am only speaking for myself as a Nederland resident that happens to serve as a volunteer on SAB.
