NEDERLAND — The White Rose Ceremony is a long standing tradition at Nederland Middle-Senior High School during graduation week.
It is the time for the graduates to take pause during the busyness of the last weeks of high school and think about who has supported them in their years in school and in life, and recognize them.
Some students thanked parents or a sibling. Some thanked a teacher. There were students who thanked a coach or a friend. All these people have played a special part of the graduate's support group. They have inspired them, been a confidant, and they have made them feel like they belong.
The tributes always have some tears, some surprises, and there are always some laughs.
The Class of 2026 showed gratitude and love during the White Rose Ceremony. May they continue the positive inspiration that has been shown to them in their lives and share it with others.
