GOLDEN GATE CANYON - Eggmania came to the Golden Gate Grange on April 19, 2025. About 25 children decorated Easter eggs and collected plastic eggs filled with candy.
Columbine Club president DeeDee Ramstetter, Grange President Terri Costeldia, and Golden Gate Fire District President Deb Curlee helped organize the event. Lori Niquette and Idella Lewis helped.
Costeldia said she remembered Easter egg hunts at the Grange when she was a child.
Children and parents entered the Grange door through the kitchen. Tables were set up in the long room by the kitchen. They were provided eggs to dye and decorate, as well as the art supplies to do so.
At 11 a.m., everyone was invited to gather eggs filled with candy. Every child gathered as many as they could. The eggs were filled by the Columbine Club.
The Club was established in 1937. They now have a membership of 40 women, and meet on the second Thursday of the month at the Grange.
