NEDERLAND - The Nederland Panthers have strapped on their backpacks, met new teachers, and are learning new schedules.
Many students have signed up to participate in fall sports and activities. Nederland Middle-Senior High School (NMSHS) students are active!
August 18 was Back to School Night at NMSHS. The evening brought both parents and students to the school, where the Panther Parents (PTA) offered everyone a wonderful meal of pizza, sides, desserts, and drinks.
The school community had an chance to learn about the different opportunities available for students, like middle school mountain biking.
Parents followed their students’ schedule and went from class to class learning what their kids will be doing every day. The NMSHS teachers were warm and welcoming. They are enthusiastic and more than ready for the 2025-2026 school year.
At times there were a few parents who could not find the next classroom, but there was always a kind high school student or teacher there to lend a hand with directions.
Principal Caleb Melamed wrapped up the evening by speaking with parents in the school auditorium.
All the best to the Nederland Panther school community as the 2025-2026 school year shifts into high gear.
