Family fun
NES educator Jamie Curry and family were dressed in "Peter Pan" costumes as Wendy, Captain Hook, Peter Pan, Lost Boy, and Tinkerbell. Tinkerbell looked ready to flit about the proceedings.
A perfect evening to trunk or treat
It was a perfect fall evening on October 24, 2025, for the Nederland Elementary School Trunk or Treat party. Cars in the parking lot were decked out in Halloween swag, and the wee ones went trunk-to-trunk for Halloween treats and surprises.
Winter clothing trunk
There was a trunk to promote the NES winter clothing drive which goes through December 13. Drop-off can be made to NES entryway or Nederland Clothing Closet.
Jurassic trunk
Dinosaurs in the trunk were matched by the dressed-up adults. And no, the photo wasn't taken in Portland.
Hot Dog
Even the dogs got in on the fun.
Nederland Fire dropping in
Nederland Fire had a ladder truck at NES and were dropping candy through a pipe into the children's bags.
Nederland strong
Cars were parked down all along Sundown Trail, while the parking lot was packed with trick or treaters and their costumed adults.
