That which I am

Posted

Breath enters and escapes

Moment by moment

Blood circulates

Waves roll in and out

Pulsing, beating, electrical currents circulating

The reverb of life, of gravity, of the unknown

Existence exists

Enters and exits

No discernible beginning or end

And yet it is

I think therefore I am

I am therefore I think

We belong

We be longing

Longing lingering

Glowing fading

Passing ships in the night

Walking together

Hands held tight

Grasping as muscle turns to ash

As smoke fades to dreams

As dreams solidify reality

As the eagerness of tomorrow

Grants the desires of today

I am afraid

I am not afraid

I am here, there, everywhere

That which you’ve forgotten

That which we will always remember

I am fragmented pieces

Holographs of the whole

The universe is in my every cell

Yet the pieces disassemble and reassemble on whims I cannot fathom

Yet I am here, I am still here

My heart beats

My body moves

My brain runs rampant in disorder

And expresses thoughts that oscillate between pride and shame.

I am a fragment and a whole of human nature, of the fleeting nature of life, some integral and minuscule piece of eternity.

I am here

whether I can make sense of it or not

Self-esteem plays little part of the actuality of my being.

My engagement with the world is my choice of experience

My care, my touch, my doing of the thing.

All that I am

Is all that I offer

Myself

The world

My choice

My love.

Beating hearts syncing together

Synchronicities tearing the bleakness asunder.

The gurgle of joy in a baby’s laughter, of connection forged in the link that was the space between windows of two souls. Silence.

Raging rivers, mist-covered mountains, dappled light through mighty trees, a gentle breeze. The testament of time etched in stone of canyon walls.

Thrill-seeker, challenge-taker, love-maker, care-giver, mind-expander, intense-feeler, deep-sleeper, strange-dreamer, life-liver

There is beauty in existence.

Breathe.
