CENTRAL CITY - Lindsay Gianola makes pumpkin heads to inspire people to celebrate Halloween.
Then she organized the Pumpkin Head Photo Meetup, held October 12 at the Bald Mountain Cemetery in Central City.
Anyone who wanted to celebrate Halloween with a pumpkin head in a spooky setting was welcome to join in—there was no cost. A professional photographer was scheduled to record the event, but she wasn’t able to make it. However, Eric Miller provided delightful photos for all.
Seven brave souls attended this first Meetup. A second was scheduled for October 18.
And now another is planned at Camp Always Choose Adventures for October 26 at 1 p.m. This one will be hosted by Camp ACA’s own Chantelle Shoaee, and will feature potluck-style drinks and food. See the online invitation for this event at https://www.facebook.com/events/s/camp-aca-halloween-spooktacula/2327316451042551/.
Gianola thanks all who participated, and noted that “We left offerings to thank the souls resting for the use of the space.”
She also announced that the group “will be appearing in the heads during the Creepy Crawl.” Watch out for Pumpkin Heads in local cemeteries!
