A Night for the Body, Mind, and Spirit

Here for the community physically and emotionally

NEDERLAND — There are currents of energy that flow through the Peak to Peak area, ones that can be attuned through the right conduit and transmuted into healing for the physical, mental, and spiritual self.

These conduits are mediums of all kinds, and the mountains are chock full of practitioners who work with their hands—and with the stars—for the betterment of the entire community.

Peak Abundance—the organization that houses the Nederland Food Pantry and Clothing Closet—hosted “A Night for the Body, Mind, and Spirit” at the Nederland Community Center on Friday, April 3, 2026, a special event to showcase wellness businesses, held in conjunction with the release of The Mountain-Ear’s 2026 Body, Mind, Spirit guide.

The free-to-enter event featured over 14 vendors offering services and helpful information. These included Tadasana Mountain Yoga, who hosted a special yoga session; Earth Star Minerals & Botanicals, who offered aromatic herbs and the natural magic of crystal energy healing; and AcuDetox, who helped bring stress relief through targeting specific points in the ear with fine needles.

Master Astrologer Karen Anderson brought her celestial understanding to Peak Abundance's "A Night for the Body, Mind, and Spirit" event.

Juanita McLaughlin from Oriental Healing Clinic offered her skills in acupuncture; LauraRose Boyle Gaydos brought the power of Listening Touch; AJ Koziel presented his expertise as a Reiki master; Karen Anderson and Dawn Mahowald read the stars to help guide guests through their spiritual journeys; and Debbie Brown highlighted her metaphysically-aligned jewelry.

And there were many organizations representing wellness for the Mind, including Peak to Peak Housing and Human Services, Bolder Mind, and a visit from Lynette Anderson, the mental health co-responder who works with Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.

Downstairs, in the Nederland Area Seniors’ lounge, custom tea blends were featured for visitors to enjoy, along with delectable finger sandwiches, salads, and soulful pound cake prepared by Peace, Love, and Cake, all served while Frank Sanders of Backyard Astronomy gave an intellectually stimulating presentation on the true science of the stars.

Physical, mental, and spiritual wellness can come from all of the major senses, including smell.

A very special thanks to all vendors who took part in this successful night, to the Nederland Community Center and Nederland Area Seniors for providing the space, to those who toiled to provide the food and beverages, and to those from Peak Abundance who worked behind the scenes to bring this event to the community.
