Nederland Police Reports, 26-02
The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office had 333 calls for service in Nederland for the month of February. The calls for service included 8 alarms, 2 disturbances, 1 missing person, 1 theft, 1 auto theft, 3 animal complaints, 4 harassments, 4 welfare checks, 1 criminal mischief, 3 frauds, 3 trespassing, 1 sex assault, 3 suspicious activities, and 1 warrant arrest.
Including in the calls for service, deputies conducted approximately 245 traffic stops, responded to 2 assists, and 2 property damage/unknown injury accidents. Not including the accidents, deputies issued approximately 187 citations and 6 written warnings.
At the request of one of the Trustees, the attached graph will show Time of Calls for Service. The time is represented using the 24-hour clock. If a time is not present, it means there were no calls for service in that hour for this month.
Calls of Note:
Warrant arrest / Resisting Arrest / Obstruction
A female had an outstanding warrant; she ran from deputies and tried to hide. She was found and taken to jail.
Abandoned Vehicle
A vehicle had been abandoned on public property for several months. It was towed.
Warrant arrest
A 40yo male was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Taken to jail.
Camping
A 24yo male was summoned for camping in town.
Agency Assist
A driver was stopped for speeding. A deputy found out she was lost and was trying to get to a family’s residence in Boulder after a domestic violence incident that occurred in Vail. A co-responder provided resources and support, and Vail PD was contacted.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle
A male who was arrested on an outstanding warrant was found to have stolen his mother’s vehicle from Washington. It was recovered; Washington and mother were notified.
Trespass
An employee was trespassed after being fired for theft.
Harassment / Disorderly Conduct / Criminal Mischief
A male shouted and made threatening comments to a clerk and customer, he was eventually found and taken to jail.
Sexual assault
Received a health and human services referral reference a sex assault that occurred amongst friends. This was unsubstantiated.
Medical Assist
A 61yo male had a medical emergency at the park and was transported to the hospital.
Vehicle Accident
A driver backed into a parked vehicle on private property. No injuries.
Ammunition Destruction
A 42yo male found ammunition while cleaning and wanted it destroyed. Entered into evidence for destruction.
Domestic Violence / Assault / Child Abuse
A 35yo female threw a mason jar at her 41yo fiancé’s face which broke several of his teeth. Their 3yo witnessed the incident. The female was arrested and taken to jail.
Disorderly Conduct / Trespass
A male and female had been trespassed from Town Hall from a previous harassment incident, but they opted to violate that notice. They caused a disturbance, yelled into the building and disrupted operations. Both parties refused to be served their summons. A warrant is being obtained.
Criminal Mischief / Code enforcement
A roommate reported ongoing harassment and property damage by co-tenants. More follow up.
