PEAK TO PEAK - The serene sign of Virgo calms the zodiac with her gentle essence. This sign signals the start of school and the end of the uproarious Leo summer. Synchronistically, Virgo welcomes astrologically the teacher of the stars, Saturn. This planet is now retrograding and resumes instructions for Virgo about equity in partnerships.

The Lord of the Rings is in good company as he moves backward, with a number of heavenly bodies already reversing. The Sun enters the sign of the lady on the 22nd, followed immediately by the new moon on the 23rd. The union of the Sun and Moon provides practical ideas as we prepare for the future by examining the past.

Aries - You have been introduced to your future, with both structural Saturn and visionary Neptune having entered Aries. However, on September 1, Saturn reverses into Pisces, asking that you carefully review your plans, to allow for full flowering in the months ahead.

Taurus - You feel comfortable with the Sun entering one of your favorite signs, Virgo. How do you feel about your ruler, artistic Venus, entering ferocious Leo? Over the month ahead you will know exactly what you want and when you want it. Delight in this lion-like direction.

Gemini - Now this is different for you, Gemini. Almost all of the planets, except for your ruler, Mercury, are reversing. Instead of adjusting to misplacing objects, you have everything at your fingertips. You are in tip top shape, managing a number of projects simultaneously.

Cancer - What a difference a decade makes. The great disruptor Pluto was opposite your sign, challenging partnerships for 17 years. Now big lucky Jupiter is the sign of the Moon Children for a year. Now is the time to celebrate with everyone near and dear to you with great joy.

Leo - The lions of the zodiac are climbing down from their thrones, handing the crowns of the zodiac over to the sign of Virgo. Now you can start, under the calm and clear direction of Virgo, implementing the plans that you have envisioned for your year ahead with vigor.

Virgo - Happy Birthday! Schools and teachings are really the theme for the lovely lady of the stars. Not only does the rolicking Leo month come to an end, but you go back to the celestial schoolhouse as well, with  Saturn continuing to develop parameters for your partnerships.

Libra - The sign before yours, Virgo, is signaling that you shall start your new year soon. Vital Mars, who indicates physical strength, is in Libra for one month. This is ideal for sports regimes and accomplishing tasks with enthusiasm, as you prepare for your birthday month.

Scorpio - The rationality of Virgo guides you forward. The first harvests of the year are being gathered and celebrated. Fortunate Jupiter has entered Cancer allowing you to consider travel plans and educational opportunities. You can currently trust your sweet sense of intuition.

Sagittarius - This is an active time for you, as you find yourself in demand everywhere. Your well developed mind is intrigued by everything that crosses your path. Your guide, benevolent Jupiter, is now spending a year in Cancer, expanding your interest in family and nurturance.

Capricorn - Philosophy becomes a touchstone for you as your fellow earth sign, elegant Virgo, has ascended to the center of the stars. Your guide, Saturn, had entered individualistic Aries with plans for the future. Now he backs into Pisces with psychic and shamanic visions.

Aquarius - Double retrogrades for ingenious Aquarius. Your original guide had been Saturn, now not only reversing but changing signs as well from self-oriented Aries to profound Pisces. Your modern ruler, Uranus, is remarkably also reversing from lively Gemini to stoic Taurus.

Pisces - The garden of earthly delights and early harvest blossoms as your ancient guide, Jupiter, enters nurturing Cancer. Your new guide, Neptune, moves from individualistic Aries back to your psychic sign. Saturn, the teacher, moves back into your sign, strengthening your core.
