On 2/1/26, at approximately 11:09 a.m., a deputy performed a traffic stop in the 5500 block of Highway 119, Black Hawk. An adult male was taken into custody on two active warrants.

On 2/2/26, at approximately 6:48 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a theft located at 100 block of  Lawrence Street, Central City.

On 2/2/26, at  approximately 5:30 p.m., a male was arrested in the sheriff’s office lobby on one outstanding warrant. A report was later completed.  

On 2/3/26, at approximately 11:13 a.m., an individual was booked into the Gilpin County Jail on an active warrant out of Boulder County.

On 2/3/26, at approximately 7:25 p.m., deputies responded to the 200 block of Lodge Pole Way, Black Hawk, in regards to a theft call for service. A report was  made.

On 2/3/26, at approximately 8:51 p.m., deputies were flagged down by a male in Central City who wanted to report found property in the 600 block of Lake Gulch Road, Central City.

On 2/4/26, at approximately 4 p.m., a deputy took a call for service via telephone regarding harassment. A report was made.

On 2/5/26, at approximately 2:41 p.m., deputies responded to a call for a cold burglary. A report was made.  

On 2/6/26, throughout the day deputies assisted with an identification case. A report was made.

On 2/6/26, at approximately 10:14 a.m., a deputy responded to the 500 block of Old Hughesville Road, Black Hawk, for a harassment call. A report was made.  

On 2/6/26, at approximately 7:45 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the Grand Z Casino on a report of a cold criminal mischief case. A report was taken.

On 2/8/26, at approximately 5:06 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to assist Black Hawk Police Department at Ameristar Casino on a disturbance. A report was completed.

On 2/8/26, at approximately 2:13 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with the vehicle smoking in the area of Roworth Street and Hooper Street, Central City. The driver was transported to a local hospital and cited. A report was completed.  

On 2/8/26, at approximately 2:54 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 5000 block of Highway 46, Gilpin County. A report was taken.

On 2/10/26, at approximately 8 p.m., deputies made a report for found property located at the sheriff’s office in Black Hawk.

On 2/12/26, a party found a set of nine keys next to the road at Highway 119 and Old Stagecoach Trail. The owner of the keys is unknown. 

On 2/13/26, at approximately 10:44 a.m., a person currently in the Gilpin County Detention Facility was found to have an active warrant.

On 2/13/26, at approximately 12 p.m., an individual was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail on a warrant.

On 2/13/26, at approximately 2 p.m., deputies responded to the 2000 block of Mount Thomas Drive in Black Hawk, for a burglary in progress. A male subject was arrested.

On 2/13/26, at approximately 7:38 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to mile marker 20.5 Highway 119, Black Hawk, for a motor vehicle accident with injury. 

On 2/13/26, at approximately 8:22 p.m., deputies were dispatched to take a report of a cold burglary. The burglary was determined to be linked to others that had occurred that day and the suspect was in custody. Charges have been filed.

On 2/14/26, at approximately 3:15 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to mile marker 5.3 Highway 119, Black Hawk, on a motor vehicle accident with injury.

On 2/14/26, at approximately 12:35 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident located at the 6000 block of Central City Parkway, Central City. A report was made.

On 2/15/26, at approximately 4:03 p.m., deputies were dispatched to an unconscious, not breathing party located on Lake Gulch Road, Central City. A report was made.  

On 2/16/26, at approximately 9:42 a.m., deputies responded to a wrong-way driver in the 300 block of Gregory Street. A summons was issued.

On 2/16/26, at approximately 12:50 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop at mile marker 3 Highway 119 Gilpin County. A summons was issued and a report was later written.

On 2/16/26, at approximately 7:50 p.m., deputies at the jail booked contraband for destruction. A report was made.  

On 2/17/26, at approximately 2:24 p.m., an active, valid warrant was discovered for a current person experiencing incarceration. The person was detained and processed into the Gilpin County Detention Facility.

On 2/17/26, at approximately 10:51 p.m., deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 400 block of Gregory Street in Central City.

On 2/19/26, a Gilpin County investigator processed Central City Police Department cases 14-0635 and 14-0689, and submitted the counterfeit money to Secret Services.

On 2/18/26, at approximately 10 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop near mile marker 5.9 on Highway 119, Black Hawk. A report and arrest was made.

On 2/18/26, during routine jail operations, deputies found probable cause for a violation of a protection order located on Dory Hill Road, Black Hawk. A report was made and charges were filed.  

On 2/19/26, at approximately 11:59 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at the 500 block of Gregory Street, Central City. An arrest and report were made.

On 2/20/26, at approximately 12:30 a.m., deputies responded to reports of a DUI crash involving injury in the area of mile marker 4, Highway 119, Black Hawk.

On 2/20/26, at approximately 8 a.m., an individual turned themselves in on a warrant through the main lobby of the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office.  

On 2/20/26, at approximately 8:38 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Gilpin County

Sheriff’s Office for a fraud/forgery. A report was made.

On 2/22/26, at approximately 1:20 a.m., deputies responded to Rick's Cabaret in Central City on the report of a possible theft. A report was taken.

On 2/22/26, at approximately 11:11 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the Grand Z Casino on a report of a cold assault. A report was completed.  

On 2/22/26, at approximately 10:19 p.m., deputies responded to the 100 block of Feldspar Road on the report of an active domestic disturbance. The suspect was taken into custody.

On 2/24/26, a Gilpin County investigator assisted with logging old hard copy case files into the new ProSuite records Management system, to assist with evidence streamlining management for Central City Police Case 73-714-3.

On 2/24/26, a Gilpin County Investigator was assigned to assist with logging old hard copy case files into the new ProSuite records Management system, to assist with evidence streamlining management for Central City Case 10-0541.

On 2/24/26, at approximately 5:15 p.m., a deputy was requested to respond as routine cover for  Colorado State Patrol who was located at mile marker 5, Highway 119 in Black Hawk. A report was taken.  

On 2/25/26, a deputy contacted a party at approximately 6000 block Highway 119 Gilpin County for suspicion of 2nd degree criminal tampering. A warrant was active for this party and an arrest was made on the warrant only.

On 2/25/26, a deputy responded to Grand Z Casino for a welfare check. A party was placed on an M1 hold and a report was later written.

On 2/27/26, at approximately 3:44 a.m., deputies responded near the 400 block of Main Street, Black Hawk, for an AOA to Black Hawk police. A report was made.  

On 2/27/26, at approximately 11:26 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 300 block of Gregory Street, Central City for a drug violation. A report was taken.

On 2/28/26, at approximately 8:47 p.m., a deputy assisted Black Hawk police on a traffic stop located at the Monarch Bus turnaround.

On 2/28/26, at approximately 9:02 p.m., a deputy was assisting Black Hawk police on a traffic stop located at the 400 block of Main Street, Black Hawk, when emergency tones activated for a shooting in progress occurring at Monarch Casino parking.
