Tommyknocker Children’s Parade: Children will walk Main Street to hang their homemade ornaments on the City Tree. Then they will walk to the Teller House for a party and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. 1:30 p.m., Central City.

Friday, December 5

Tommyknocker Tree Lighting: Lighting of the tree at City Hall. Carol and candlelight walk to the Teller House for a potluck dinner. Bring a dish to share. Ugly Sweater Contest. The festivities begin at 6:30 p.m., 120 Eureka Street, Central City. 

Tree Lighting and Drone Show: The 2025 Tree Lighting and a drone show. The Tree Lighting Celebration and Caroling with the Lyons School Choirs. 5 p.m.,  Sandstone Park, 350 Broadway Street, Lyons.

Saturday, December 6

Friends of the Library Bake Sale: Friends of the Library will be conducting a bake sale to help raise funds to support various programs such as the Summer Reading Program. Visit the library for a variety of homemade baked goods for sale. 12 to 3 p.m., Gilpin County Library, 15131 Highway 119, Black Hawk.

Holiday Parade of Lights: Join us on a magical tour through Lyons at the annual Holiday Parade of Lights. Stick around for the drone show afterwards. The drone show will go off near Bohn Park, but will be visible from Main Street. They are presented by students from the St Vrain Valley School District’s Innovation Center. 6:30 p.m., Main Street, Lyons.

Saturday, December 6 and Sunday, December 7

Peak to Peak Chorale Presents: "Searching for the Light: A journey of hope." Join the Chorale for their annual holiday concert as they take you on a journey through the stars to search for hope, light, and peace. Dedicated to those affected by the Nederland fire. 3 p.m., Coal Creek  Canyon Improvement Association, 31528 Highway 72, Golden.

Nederland Holiday Market: Handmade goods and crafts. Music, food and art. Santa & Mrs. Claus will be visiting as well. Bring your friends, family, and holiday spirit to support local makers and kick off the season in true mountain-town style. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Nederland Community Center located at 750 Highway 72 North, Nederland. 

Tommyknocker Holiday Bazaar: There will be arts, food, and crafts booths, Father Christmas, cookie decorating, and more. On Saturday, December 6, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, December 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Teller House, located at 120 Eureka Street, Central City.

Holiday Artisan Market in Lyons: The Market will be held at the Lyons Elementary School from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Explore the works of local artisans and do some holiday shopping at our annual Market. Be sure to enter via the back door, on Stickney Street (past the playground). Santa will visit both days from 2-4 p.m. Lyons Elementary School, 338 High Street, Lyons.

Saturday, December 13

Coal Creek Canyon Kids Santa Visit: Free Event! Watch Santa arrive in a fire truck. Visit the CCC Community Center and take your own photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus, make arts and crafts, enjoy cocoa and cookies, write letters to Santa and get a little gift. Presented by United Power. 12 to 2 p.m. at 31528 Highway 72, Golden.

Post Office Play Day: Celebrate the wonderful art of letter-writing and help your kids gain an appreciation of all that the Post Office does for us. Play check-out, weigh and match post and parcels, sort and deliver mail. We will have letter writing supplies, cursive practice, make-your-own postcards, stamps,  and gift tag stations. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Nederland Community Library located at 200 Highway 72, Nederland.

Holiday Crafting: Come join us for two days of holiday crafting fun. Kids of all ages can come make ornaments, cards, and other holiday decorations. Holiday cards and stamping crafts will also be available for teens and adults. Patrons can drop in anytime during the scheduled hours. 12 to 5 p.m. at the Gilpin Public Library, located at 15131 Highway 119, Black Hawk.
