Saturday, November 1

Sugarloaf Craft Fair: Benefit for the Sugarloaf Fire Department. Fine homemade crafts, home baked goods, silent auction items. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., 1360 Sugarloaf Road, Fire Station 2, Sugarloaf.

Community Support Rally: Block party for revival and recovery. Join us for a day of community and hope. Live local bands, beer from The Very Nice Brewing Company, food trucks, kids’ activities, games and more. Hosted by Tebo at the Black Forest Inn. 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., 24 Big Springs Drive, Nederland. 

November 2 - 22

Gilpin County Food Pantry: Expanded hours in November to address loss of Federal SNAP benefits: Mondays: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursdays: 12 to 6 p.m., Saturdays November 8 and November 22: 1:30 to 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome. 101 Norton Drive, Black Hawk.

Sunday, November 2

Puzzles & Pizza: It’s back! The library is hosting a puzzle swap and a puzzle race! From now until November 2, bring a puzzle to the library and get a ticket to collect a “new to you” puzzle. Registration is required. 4 to 6 p.m., 200 Highway 72 North, Nederland.

Wednesday, November 5

Gilpin County Public Meeting: Join us to discuss the upcoming adoption of the 2024 Building (International Residential Code) and Fire Codes. The meeting will include a brief presentation outlining key changes between the 2018 and 2024 codes, followed by time for questions and answers. Community members, builders, and anyone interested in learning more about the updates are encouraged to attend. 5 to 6 p.m., Old Courthouse, 203 Eureka Street, Central City.

Saturday, November 8

Teen Comedy Improv Night: Join us for an intro to stand-up workshop for teens ages 14  to 18, to learn about joke telling and to try out your ideas. Led by professional comedian, Christie Buchele. Pizza and Cupcakes! Registration required. 6 to 8 p.m., Nederland Community Library, 200 Highway 72 North, Nederland.

Thursday, November 13

Second Annual Taste of Gilpin: A culinary showdown and fundraiser! Gilpin’s top restaurants compete for best bite and best sip. A silent auction featuring fine art, hospitality packages, and culinary experiences. Held at the Historic Teller House. See gilpinarts.org for more information and to purchase tickets. This is a 21 and older event. 6 to 9 p.m., 120 Eureka Street, Central City.
