Oktoberfest: Don your lederhosen and grab your stein! Celebrate Oktoberfest with us. We will have themed games for prizes. Live music from Tyler Grant on Saturday. At the Richman Beer Garden from 3 to 9 p.m., 111 Richman Street, Black Hawk.


Saturday, September 27


Calvary Chapel’s Annual Harvest Fest: Fun for the whole family. Shop, eat, and play! Free face painting, harvest games, Navajo tacos & jewelry, and live music. 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 275 Highway 72, Nederland. 


Sunday, September 28


Nederland Farmers Market: Shop a variety of local artisan food and crafts vendors while enjoying live music right in the heart of Nederland! 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 80 East Second Street, Nederland. 


Brunch with Bookman: Come celebrate with us while we honor Hughes Moir, one of Nederland Community Library’s founding members and our first Board President. We will unveil and dedicate the seven-foot-tall sculpture created by local artist, Bill Ikler, in honor of Moir. The celebration includes live music, upcycled book craft, and light refreshments. 12 to 1:30 p.m., Nederland Community Library, 750 Highway 72 North, Nederland. 


Touch a Truck: Hosted by Martin Marietta. A day of free educational and interactive family fun. Climb up into the seat of a giant haul truck, get in the bucket of a quarry loader, see emergency equipment and personnel, petting zoo, food truck. Fundraising by Rotary Clear Creek. 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Martin Marietta Walstrom Quarry, 33501 Highway 6, Idaho Springs.

Art at the Center: Come check out the opening reception for Art at the Center! Meet the artists and enjoy live music while admiring all the displayed art. Vote for your favorite artist! 5 to 7 p.m. at the Nederland Community Center located at 750 North Highway 72, Nederland. 


Friday, October 3


Vaccine Clinic: Be prepared for the upcoming flu season. 2 to 5:30 p.m., Gilpin County Community Center, 250 Norton Drive, Black Hawk. 


Saturday, October 4


Gilpin Artisan Market: Browse local artisan vendors and live music! 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Gilpin County Community Center located at 250 Norton Drive, Black Hawk. 


Movies with a Message:  Showing "The Manchurian Candidate,” a political thriller from 1962. Light snacks and beverages provided. No admission fee. Everyone is welcome. Starts at  1:30 p.m. at the Gilpin County Library located at 15131 Highway 119, Black Hawk.

Harvest Market: The last Farmers Market of the year! Enjoy local beer, wine, and spirit vendors as well as more artisan food and art vendors than our regular markets. There will be live music from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., as well as a pumpkin patch and chili roasting. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 80 East Second Street, Nederland.
