Wild Bear Nature Center Tours: Curious about the future home of Wild Bear Nature Center? Join us for a behind-the-scenes tour of our new net-positive facility, currently under construction at the gateway to thousands of acres of open space. 4 to 5:30 p.m., 88 Indian Peaks Drive, Nederland.


Hikes for Seniors: Join Boulder County Parks and Open Space for an easy three-mile walk around the wetlands. Enjoy a peaceful stroll around tranquil ponds teeming with life and surrounded by serene scenery. A few benches are available on the trail. 9 to 11 a.m., Walden Ponds Wildlife Habitat, 3893 North 75th Street, Boulder.

Ned Jazz and Wine Festival: A special time to meet up with friends, sample fine beverages, and listen to diverse jazz sets. Ticket purchasers receive unlimited pours from alcohol and NA booths, a commemorative tasting glass, an over-the-shoulder wine carrying tote, and a prize- drawing ticket to win experiences. The Gilpin County Democrats’ Annual Fundraiser: See speakers Joe Neguse, Dylan Roberts, Lesley Smith, Phil Weiser, and Michael Dougherty. $25 per person. Doors open at 1:30 p.m., event from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Gilpin County Arts Association located at 117 Eureka Street, Central City. 


CCCIA New Deck Christening Celebration: Join us for a special afternoon as we celebrate the grand unveiling of the Coal Creek Canyon Improvement Association Deck with an open house and tour of the deck!  Free cake and ice cream. 2 to 5 p.m., 31528 Highway 72, Golden.

COMBA Community Ride & Meet Up: Join the Colorado Mountain Bike Association for a ride at Maryland Mountain, then cruise down to the Richman Beer Garden to cool off and wet your whistle. Bike racks are available at the beer garden and they will be opening early for this special event! 1 to 9 p.m. at 111 Richman Street, Black Hawk.

Paint the Town: Dozens of painters will be converging to paint their interpretations of historic Central City. The event spans three days, allowing artists to capture the beauty and essence of the town. Wander the streets to see if you can find artists at their easels.
