4th of July Barn Dance: We have a big day of seven hours of music including Magoo the band, High Lonesome, The High Road Home, New Family Dog with Bridget Law of Elephant Revival, Adam Pause, Montana Sand, and John McKay. Plus artist booths, food trucks, craft beer, and kids’ activities all for only $37 and kids 12 & under are free! 100% of the profits go to the Gilpin County School music department. 1:30 to 9 p.m., Gilpin County Fairgrounds, 230 Norton Drive, Black Hawk.
Nederland 4th of July: Parade at 12 p.m. starting at the Tin Shed in town located at 112 East Second Street. Games and potluck right after the parade in Chipeta Park located at 254-306 Lakewood Drive, Nederland.
Nederland Summer Concert Series: Bring a chair and a blanket and get comfortable for some music in the park from Amy Harron & Jason Hicks and Andy Thorn & Friends! 4 to 7 p.m. in Chipeta Park.
Idaho Springs 4th of July Town Party: Music, games, food and fireworks in the heart of our historic downtown. 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Miner Street, Idaho Springs.
CCCIA 4th of July: Parade at 10 a.m., kids’ games, local vendors and more. 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Coal Creek Community Improvement Center located at 31528 Highway 72, Golden.
Jamestown 4th of July: Music all day and a parade at 12 p.m.! 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the heart of Jamestown.
Estes Park 4th of July: Pack a picnic and enjoy gorgeous mountain views, stroll the shops and Riverwalk, and show your spirit by taking part in one of the many events taking place around town. Fireworks begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. over Lake Estes, Estes Park.
Ted Garcia First Friday: Join us for food, drinks, good vibes, fun company, and original art by Ted Garcia. 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Ted Garcia Fine Art Gallery located 327 Gregory Street, Black Hawk.
Pop-up Food Pantry Drive: Support the Gilpin Food Pantry! Hot dogs (meat and veggie) and chips available. 2 to 5 p.m. at Very Nice Gilpin located at 180 Jankowski, Black Hawk. You can also drop off non-perishable food donations at Howlin Wind Brewing & Blending located at 51 A Main Street, Rollinsville.

Bunce School Tour: The Historic Bunce School and Museum in Allenspark is open for free tours select Saturdays this summer. Bunce School is located four miles south of Allenspark just off Highway 7 on Bunce School Road.
Wednesday, July 9
The Buzzing Butterfly Puppet Tale: Based on the book Make Way for Butterfly by Ross Baruch. Join us for a puppet and magic show that is geared toward kids ages 3 to 10. 10 to 11 a.m. at Gilpin County Public Library located at 15131 Highway 119, Black Hawk.
The Mountain State’s Bumble Bee Atlas: Conservation biologist Amy Dolan will tell the story of the Mountain State Bumble Bee Atlas project at the MRS summer seminar series. 7 to 8 p.m. at 818 County Road 116, Nederland.

Gilpin County Fair: Live music, local vendors, food, rides, and games that make this mountain fair a can’t-miss summer tradition. Whether you're competing in cornhole, cheering at the rodeo, or just soaking in the good vibes, we’ll see you at the fair!

Tie-Dye Party: Stop by to tie-dye a book tote while supplies last, or bring your own shirt or gear to tie-dye! This will be an outdoor event, weather permitting. This will be messy! Old clothes advised! 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Nederland Community Library, 200 Highway 72 North, Nederland.
Colorado Legal Services Focus Group: We want to hear from you about what kinds of civil (non-criminal) legal problems you and other low-income community members are facing in Boulder County. Your input can help our team at Colorado Legal Services adjust the services we offer to meet the most important legal needs our community is facing. 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Nederland Community Library, 200 Highway 72 North, Nederland.

Performing Arts Night: Calling all poets, songwriters, musicians, comics, magicians, dancers, and writers. Showcase your talents and passions outdoors in the Reading Garden.
