Children’s Storytime: Stories! Song! Movement! Music! Play! Every Friday morning from 10:15 to 11:30 a.m. we hold storytimes for ages 0 to 4 years old. From 10:15 to 10:45 a.m., we read books, sing songs, learn some ASL, and get the wiggles out! From 10:45 to 11:30 a.m., we have free play and get to know other kids, parents and caregivers. Meet at the Nederland Community Library located at 200 Highway 72.

Solstice Flower Crowns: Using floral wire, silk flowers, ribbons, and glue guns, we’ll each create one beautiful crown to take home. Bunce School Tour: The Historic Bunce School and Museum in Allenspark is open for free tours on select Saturdays this summer. Bunce School is located four miles south of Allenspark just off Highway 7 on Bunce School Road.
Nederland Summer Series: Grab a picnic basket, blanket, and some chairs and make yourself comfortable at Chipeta Park for some free live music from Los Mocochetes and Trio Ojaleo! 4 to 7 p.m. at 254-306 Lakeview Drive, Nederland.

Family Fun Fishing Day: Come catch a fish and claim a prize! Youth poles, fun prizes, brats, and hot dogs, all provided for free! All state wildlife regulations apply. 1 to 3 p.m. at William C. Russell Park and Pond on Kings Flat Road in Central City.
Trivia Night: Join us for Trivia Night at both locations! Prizes throughout the night! Located at the Very Nice Brewing Company Taproom in Nederland, located at 20 Lakeview Drive, #112, and the Gilpin Taproom located at 180 Jankowski Drive, Black Hawk.
Nederland Farmers Market: Enjoy a variety of artisan food and craft vendors alongside live music from Alphatones in the heart of Nederland. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., located at 80 East Second Street, Nederland.
Board Game Club: Come join in on the fun! 1 to 5 p.m. at the Nederland Community Library located at 200 Highway 72.

Nederland Writers: Bring something you are working on to share and get feedback on or join the group to listen in and hone your skills. At the Nederland Community Library located at 200 Highway 72 every Monday from 1 to 3 p.m.

Mural Painting: Outside, over these four days, we’ll have all the supplies needed to paint our extra large sandwich board with colorful acrylics. You will determine the outcome of this masterpiece—let’s “Color Our World”! You can even use this as an activity on your Summer Reading Program Challenge sheet. During all Nederland Community Library open hours at 200 Highway 72.

Cool Science: Light and Color Show! Cool Science will be bringing their unique blend of cool demonstration shows and hands-on STEAM activities to the library this summer. 10 to 11 a.m. at the Gilpin County Library Meeting Room, 15131 Highway 119, Black Hawk.
Of Mice and Mitochondria: CSU PhD student Shady Kuster will speak on the fascinating evolutionary adaptations of deer mice living in alpine environments at the MRS summer seminar series. 7 to 8 p.m. at 818 County Road 116, Nederland.
Children’s Storytime: Join us every Wednesday morning for our Children’s Storytime. Most of our children range from 0 to 5 years of age but all children are welcome. Enjoy stories, fingerplays, rhymes, and more. A themed craft will follow every storytime. The previous week’s crafts are available while supplies last. 10 to 11 a.m. at the Gilpin County Public Library located at 15135 Highway 119 in Black Hawk.

International Sunglasses Day: Celebrate International Sunglasses Day with us at the Richman Beer Garden. Enjoy lawn games like Jenga and cornhole, hang out, and take part in the celebration! 3 to 5 p.m. at 100 Richman Street, Black Hawk.

Courtyard Jam: Enjoy music from the open pick, cornhole by the creek, and cook-off. Help us name the pantry van, and so much more! 1 to 4 p.m. at the Nederland Food Pantry, 196 W 1st Street, Nederland.
