Colorado State Patrol seeking witnesses from crash

GILPIN COUNTY – On Saturday, September 20, 2025, at about 7:21 p.m., Colorado State Patrol troopers responded to a crash involving a motorcyclist located on Highway 6 at milepost 268 near Golden, Colorado.

The motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on Highway 6 when the rider lost control of the motorcycle, causing the motorcycle to slide into a Honda CR-V. The adult male rider, age 47, was ejected from the motorcycle and landed in the westbound lanes, where he was struck by a different vehicle. The rider was dragged approximately a half mile to one mile west of the initial crash scene by this unknown vehicle.

The Colorado State Patrol is seeking witnesses to this crash or anyone who was traveling through the area between 7 and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and believes they may have hit debris in the roadway.
