How long have you lived in Central City?  4 years

What post-secondary schools have you attended? Tarrant County Junior College. I am a self taught person, I enjoy learning 

What specific training or education have you received relevant to the position? Real life experience operating businesses and with real estate development 

Briefly describe your current career and home life. I work for RCI , currently leading mergers and acquisitions.  I have 6 children ages 39,30,25,20,17, and 7. 

List the local boards and civic or volunteer activities in which you have been involved and the dates of service.  I have only served on the DDA in the past, but not a current board member 

Have you attended Central City Council and/or other local government meetings? Yes for many years starting in early 2022 

How would you improve the professional experience of Central City staff?

I want to streamline some of the processes , including building permits, Home repair and maintenance permits, and many of the other process that I believe are slowing the development of affordable and workforce  housing

What do you see as the major issues facing Central City? How would you begin to address them? Affordable and workforce housing and bringing in new business to increase the and expand the tax base of the city.  See my answer above as well as seeking out new investment in the community from real estate developers. 

As an elected official, what would be your top three goals for the city and county in the next year? Since I am only running for city council I would focus on the needs of Central city and its citizens and business.

1. More summer events, we need to keep main street active and draw people to our city 

2. Seek out builders and developers to build affordable and workforce housing as more housing is built , I believe business development will follow 

3. More focus on city Infrastructure and decaying street and utility systems 

What would you prefer regarding the location of sexually oriented businesses in Central City – Main Street, or presently zoned Industrial area? Other suggestions? I am probably a little biased here. Rick’s has help bring life to the south side of main street as well as RCI and Myself have made major investments in Central City. I would like to see a city council that works to solve real problems not imaginary ones. 

What is your opinion on G3 gaming development in Central City? This will be a real game changer for the city, bringing new life and revenue to our city. While it will take time and the growing pains will hurt at first. Once this project is complete it will provide funds for many of the projects I have mentioned above 

How would you collaborate with other Central City or Gilpin County departments and organizations? In any way that would benefit the City of Central 

Why do you want to hold the office for which you are running? Have you run for/held political office before? If so, where and when? I have never been a politician before.  Central City has become home and a very special place for me. I would like to help lead the growth while preserving the important historical parts of city. I would like be part of the greatness that central is and part of the great future that I believe we can all create together 

Will you be able to meet the time requirements of the office?   Yes, In the first three years I was in the city, I only  missed 3 meetings 

How have you, and/or how will you, operate with transparency and honesty in your role? Most people that know me, know this is how I operate already. I will always be genuine 

How will you handle conflict resolution, if elected? In a way that is best for all parties involved.
