Black Hawk Police Reports, January 2025
On 1/1/25, at approximately 1:54 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a possible fraud at the Monarch Casino. When officers arrived, the suspect was underage and playing on the casino floor. The call turned into an AOA for gaming. Gaming gave the suspect a warning.
On 1/1/25, at approximately 3:38 a.m., officers were dispatched to a vehicle assist at the Dakota Lot for a battery jump. Officers arrived but were unable to jump-start the vehicle. The reporting party decided to call roadside assistance.
On 1/1/25, at approximately 5:12 p.m., officers contacted a suspicious vehicle in the Ameristar bus loop with its lights off and the driver looking down. Officers approached the vehicle, where the female party was trying to get ahold of a friend so she could pick them up. Officers had the female move and park in the garage and wait.
On 1/1/25, at approximately 7:27 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino regarding a party refusing to leave. Officers made contact with a male who was later transported to the hospital on a mental health hold evaluation.
On 1/1/25, the Black Hawk Police Department received a report of a theft from a vehicle that took place at the Horseshoe Casino garage. Officers took the call by phone and are conducting a surveillance review for suspects.
On 1/1/25, at approximately 1 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired registration. The driver was issued a verbal warning.
On 1/1/24, at approximately 3:54 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired registration. The driver was issued a warning.
On 1/1/25, approximately 9:12 p.m., officers observed a vehicle from a REDDI report at Highway 119 and Miners Road. The driver was stopped and determined to have no insurance, an expired plate, and a fictitious validation tab. The driver was cited.
On 1/1/25, at approximately 11:05 p.m., officers were dispatched to a report of a welfare check at the Monarch Casino. After investigation a person was arrested.
On 1/1/25, the Black Hawk Police Department received a report of stolen property from a guest at The Gilpin Casino. Officers are working with casino staff to identify suspects in this case.
On 1/2/25, at approximately 2:20 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino for a lost cell phone. Surveillance reviewed the video and did not see the casino patron with his phone while gaming.
On 1/2/25, an officer was requested to respond to the Ameristar Casino for a Division of Gaming assist call. The involved suspect was located and a report was taken.
On 1/2/25, an officer responded to Highway 119 to assist the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office with a hit-and-run traffic accident. The suspect vehicle was stopped and the Colorado State Patrol contacted the driver.
On 1/2/25, at approximately 9:14 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a verbal disturbance. Upon arrival and after investigations, this case was discovered to be a civil matter and officers assisted the casino and associated parties to a resolution.
On 1/3/25, at approximately 5:49 a.m., an officer responded to mile marker 3 of Highway 119 to assist Colorado State Patrol with a traffic stop. The driver was arrested and a report was completed.
On 1/3/25, an officer responded to the Lady Luck Casino parking garage on a report of a trespass to motor vehicle. No suspect information at this time.
On 1/3/25, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino when a request was made to stand by while an employee was terminated. The party was terminated and escorted off the property without incident.
On 1/3/25, at approximately 9:19 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle bearing no license plate at Highway 119 and Richman Street. The driver was given a warning.
On 1/4/25, at approximately 1:36 a.m., an officer responded to the parking garage of the Monarch on a report of a property damage hit and run. A suspect was identified and a report was completed.
On 1/4/25, at approximately 5 a.m., an officer responded to the Monarch Casino and completed a report of lost property.
On 1/4/25, at approximately 9:30 a.m., an officer received a call about a stolen phone at the Lodge Casino.
On 1/4/25, at approximately 7:48 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a party who entered an unoccupied room unlawfully. After being removed, the suspect offered the officers narcotics, as an attempted kind gesture. The suspect was cited.
On 1/4/25, at approximately 11:16 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino for the report of a lost cell phone. A report was taken.
On 1/5/25, at approximately 12:25 a.m., officers responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a party refusing leave. The party requested a report of the incident be completed and left without incident.
On 1/5/25, at approximately 1:34 a.m., responded to the Monarch for a trespassed guest on property. The property readvised the guest of the trespass and formally trespassed the guest to which they left.
On 1/5/25, at approximately 9:20 a.m., an officer was on patrol in the Horseshoe Casino parking garage when he observed a forged Colorado Temporary License Plate. The plate was removed from the vehicle and seized. The officer attempted to contact the possible owner of the vehicle but was unsuccessful.
On 1/5/25, at approximately 11:41 a.m., an officer assisted the Colorado State Patrol on a traffic stop at Highway 119 and mile marker 5.8. The CSP trooper conducted a DUI investigation as a Black Hawk officer stood by. The driver was arrested for DUI without incident. The Black Hawk officer then cleared the scene after the driver was taken into custody.
On 1/5/25, at approximately 10:54 p.m., officers were dispatched to a welfare check at Richman Street. When officers arrived they were given information about a possible violation of a protection order. After verifying the protected party was in room 1910 with the violator, officers were able to arrest without incident. The violator was taken and booked into Gilpin County Jail.
On 1/6/25, at approximately 11:19 a.m., an officer conducted a welfare check on a subject sleeping in his vehicle in the Ameristar Casino parking garage. The subject was just tired from gambling all night. No further actions taken.
On 1/6/25, at approximately 11:34 a.m., officers were on a walk-through of Ameristar Casino when they were advised of a lost cell phone. A report was taken.
On 1/6/25, at approximately 6:56 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Gregory Street and Main Street for an expired plate. The driver was issued a summons for operating an unregistered vehicle and having expired plates.
On 1/7/25, at approximately 1:22 a.m., officers received a phone call at 221 Church Street of a missing person. The reporting party called back and said the missing person had texted him and everything was ok.
On 1/7/25, at approximately 2:28 p.m., officers were on a follow-up for a possible sexual assault that occurred at the Monarch Casino on 1/3/25. Officers interviewed the victim and looked at surveillance. This will be an ongoing investigation. No other information at this time.
On 1/7/25, at approximately 2:38 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired registration. The driver was issued a warning.
On 1/7/25 at approximately 4:58 p.m., officers were notified about possible harassment over a text message. A report was taken.
On 1/8/25, at approximately 2:15 a.m., officers were dispatched to a possible stolen vehicle. When officers arrived they located the reporting party on the lower level of the garage. After clearing the reporting party, it was found they had a warrant out of Summit County. The reporting party’s car was not stolen. Officers were able to arrest without incident. The violator was medically cleared for alcohol and was taken and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.
On 1/8/25, an officer was dispatched to a Clear Creek Street address for a medical issue.
On 1/8/25, an officer took the telephone report of a theft that occurred at the Horseshoe Casino on 12/27/24. There is no suspect information at this time, the case is active.
On 1/8/25, at approximately 7:41 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to yield to traffic while entering a roadway occurring at the 100 block of Miners Road. The driver was given a verbal warning and a field interview report was completed.
On 1/8/25, at approximately 11 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was driving at a high rate of speed in the snow and the speed limit was 15 mph. The officer later released the driver with a verbal warning.
On 1/9/25, at approximately 1:32 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to display a license plate occurring at 6100 Highway 119. The driver was issued a summons and a report was completed.
On 1/9/25, at approximately 3:15 a.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of damaged property. Officers later issued the suspect and summons.
On 1/9/25, at approximately 9:24 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for display of a fictitious temporary registration occurring at 6000 Highway 119. The driver was issued a summons and a report was completed.
On 1/9/25, at approximately 11:02 p.m., officers were called to Bally's North Casino to check on the welfare of an individual. The party was transported to detox and a report was completed.
On 1/10/25, at approximately 2:17 a.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a cell phone theft. Upon further investigation the cell phone was located and reconnected to the owner.
On 1/10/25, at approximately 9:40 a.m., officers were doing a routine area check at the Lady Luck parking garage. We noticed a vehicle running with trash bags covering all the windows. We did a welfare check on that vehicle and contacted the person in the vehicle.
On 1/10/25, at approximately 9:50 a.m., officers were doing an area check at the Lady Luck parking garage and a welfare check on a vehicle. Male arrested on warrant.
On 1/10/25, Black Hawk police were dispatched to 401 Main Street on a report of a counterfeit bill. Officers responded and confiscated the counterfeit and booked it into evidence.
On 1/10/25, at approximately 11 p.m., officers were traveling southbound on Highway 119 and observed a vehicle on its side. The officers asked for additional units and Colorado State Patrol to direct traffic. The officers spoke with the driver of the vehicle and asked if he needed medical attention. The driver refused medical attention. The officers directed traffic until Colorado State Patrol was finished with their investigation. A report was completed.
On 1/10/25, at approximately 6:47 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no headlights on when required. The officer later issued them a warning and released them.
On 1/10/25, at approximately 7:52 p.m., officers received a report of an intoxicated individual driving in the Dakota Lot. The suspect was contacted and arrested for DUI. A report was completed.
On 1/11/25, at approximately 11:56 p.m., officers responded to a report of a physical altercation occurring at the Sasquatch Casino. Two involved parties were contacted and declined to pursue charges against each other. A report was completed.
On 1/11/25, at approximately 12:30 a.m., an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of damaged property. Upon investigations, there were no damages and the case was unfounded.
On 1/11/25, at approximately 4:37 a.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a disturbance in a hotel room. After investigations, the parties were uncooperative and did not provide officers with enough information to affect an arrest. Officers later cleared with a report.
On 1/11/25, at approximately 10 p.m., Monarch Casino reported an unwanted party they wanted off the premises. The party left the premises willingly after law enforcement arrived.
On 1/11/25, at approximately 11 p.m., a vehicle was in the left turn lane at Main and Richman. The vehicle proceeded to go straight after the light turned green and almost hit another vehicle. A law enforcement officer was behind both vehicles and witnessed the incident. The driver who was in violation was given a verbal warning.
On 1/11/25, at approximately 7:38 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for running a red light. The driver was issued a warning.
On 1/11/25, at approximately 7:45 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to use a turn signal at Main Street and Highway 119. The driver was cleared and given a verbal warning and a report was completed.
On 1/11/25, at approximately 8:11 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no headlight on the front driver's side and display of an expired tag mile marker 7 on Highway 119. The driver was clear and given a verbal warning and a report was completed.
On 1/11/25, at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to use a turn signal, failure to turn from turn only lane, and changing lanes when unsafe, at Richman Street and Highway 119. The driver was cleared and given a summons. A report was completed.
On 1/11/25, at approximately 9:41 p.m., a traffic stop was conducted by Black Hawk police officers at 245 Main Street. The driver was cleared and a verbal warning was given.
On 1/11/25, at approximately 9:56 p.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a vehicle accident in the parking garage. All parties involved exchanged information and a report was completed.
On 1/11/25, at approximately 9:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino poker room for a trespass. Officers arrived and issued a trespass citation.
On 1/11/25, at approximately 10:52 p.m., officers were notified of a potential child abuse. Officers made contact with the children and determined the children were okay, that custody issues were going on, and that the reporting party violated a civil and criminal protection orders
On 1/12/25, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Black Hawk police officers followed up on a property damage incident that occurred at Jinya Ramen Bar located inside the Ameristar Casino. A suspect was contacted and issued a summons for property damage.
On 1/12/25, at approximately 12:48 p.m., officers were on a separate incident at the Ameristar Casino when they discovered that a female party was severely intoxicated and needed medical attention.
On 1/12/25, officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino for an unwanted party. The unwanted party was escorted out of the casino without incident.
On 1/12/25, an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Miners Road at Main Street. A verbal warning was given.
On 1/12/25, an officer completed a telephone report regarding the theft of a cellular telephone, being stolen on 1/10/25. There is suspect information.
On 1/12/25, an officer responded to the Lady Luck Casino parking garage on a vehicle trespass. There was no forced entry into the vehicle and skiing equipment was stolen from the interior. There is no suspect information at this time.
On 1/12/25, the officer responded to the Lodge Casino on the request of a welfare check for a male party who seemed to be in distress. The party was evaluated by medical personnel and then followed to the Grand Z Casino where he already had a hotel room.
On 1/12/25, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on an ID check and to take a report on a stolen or lost cell phone. An officer met with the victim and confirmed her identity for the casino and took the report. Due to the last time the phone was seen, there was no way to determine the location where the phone was left or stolen.
On 1/12/25, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a disturbance which had occurred in a hotel room. The investigation showed that the suspect had harassed the victim and damaged their property. The suspect was transported to the jail where he was booked on numerous charges.
On 1/12/25, the Black Hawk Police Department was contacted regarding a hit-and-run that had occurred at The Horseshoe Casino. Officers contacted the victim and spoke with witnesses. Officers are conducting an investigation and searching for all possible leads.
On 1/12/25, Black Hawk Police Department officers were informed a suspect in a felony theft case was observed via Lodge Casino surveillance to be in the area. The suspect was detained but subsequently released after further investigation revealed the case against the suspect was still active.
On 1/12/25, at approximately 10:45 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Monarch Casino for a theft report. Surveillar was unable to identify the suspect.
On 1/13/25, an officer was dispatched to an unwanted party at the Brew Brothers restaurant in the Horseshoe Casino. The unwanted party did not pay her food bill but the casino simply wanted her to leave the property. An unwanted party was escorted off the property.
On 1/13/25, Black Hawk police officers observed a vehicle run a stop sign at Miners Street and Bobtail Street. Officers made a traffic stop and issued a citation.
On 1/14/25, at approximately 4:50 p.m., Black Hawk police responded to the 400 block of Mammoth View Lane in reference to an active break-in at a residence. The suspect was detained and all information was passed to the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office.
On 1/14/25, an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino on a report of a suicidal party. The suicidal party was located inside the casino and was transported to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.
On 1/14/25, the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to 255 Main Street on a report of two males involved in a verbal, possible physical altercation. Officers responded and determined no crime had been committed. Both parties were cleared and released.
On 1/14/25, the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to a disturbance at 101 Main Street. Officers arrived on scene and determined no crime had occurred.
On 1/15/25, Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop at approximately 5800 Highway 119. After a brief investigation, they discovered the vehicle had a fictitious registration temp tag. Officers issued a citation for all violations and cleared the scene.
On 1/15/25, the Black Hawk Police Department was dispatched to a cold hit-and-run that occurred at Lady Luck Casino. The officer contacted the victim party and is pursuing leads to gather suspect information.
On 1/15/25, at approximately 4:24 p.m., the Black Hawk Police Department received a phone call with information about a female party possibly being abused and trafficked. A report was taken.
On 1/15/25, Black Hawk officers conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle with no tail lights at the 300 block of Main Street. Officers informed the driver that the lights were not on and made sure the driver had operational tail lights. Cleared with a warning.
On 1/16/25, Black Hawk police conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119 at mile marker 5.8 in the City of Black Hawk. The vehicle was driving with tail lights and displayed an expired registration. Officers issued a penalty assessment and cleared the scene.
On 1/16/25, an officer was dispatched to the Ameristar Hotel for suspicious activity. Upon the investigation's completion all involved parties were contacted. A report was taken.
On 1/16/25, an officer was dispatched to the Ameristar Hotel for a found firearm. The item was collected and a report was taken.
On 1/16/25, at approximately 6:10 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino regarding a trespassed party. The party was arrested on a felony warrant.
On 1/16/25, at approximately 6:45 p.m., officers were dispatched for an AOA for state patrol on a REDDI report at Miners Road and Main Street. Black Hawk officers had the passenger detained for giving a false identity. Officers were able to verify the identity and state patrol took the suspect to Gilpin County Jail for a warrant.
On 1/16/25, at approximately 9:30 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a tail lamp that was out. The driver was issued a warning.
On 1/16/25, at approximately 10:26 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a headlamp out and running a red light. The driver was issued a warning.
On 1/16/25, at approximately 10:28 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino for found drugs. The person who dropped was contacted and issued a summons for unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
On 1/17/25, at approximately 7:47 a.m., Black Hawk police officers assisted Black Hawk Fire and Gilpin Ambulance with an intoxicated male party on the casino floor of the Ameristar Casino. The male party was later transported to the hospital.
On 1/17/25, at approximately 9:48 a.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a welfare check. There was no evidence of a crime committed.
On 1/17/25, at approximately 8:49 p.m., two TITO tickets totaling approximately $600 were taken from a hotel room at the Ameristar Casino. A suspect has been identified and charges pending.
On 1/17/25, at approximately 3:07 p.m., Black Hawk police received a call involving a lost black Samsung smart phone at the Ameristar Casino. The reporting party was contacted by phone and a report was taken.
On 1/17/25, at approximately 3:45 p.m., Black Hawk police received a call involving a lost black Letterman jacket at the Monarch. The reporting party was contacted by phone and a report was taken.
On 1/17/25, at approximately 7:23 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino regarding a lost cell phone. Officers determined the phone was stolen and could not track down suspect information. A report was taken.
On 1/18/25, at approximately 12:33 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for careless driving in snowy conditions by going around marked police vehicles with emergency lights blocking a travel lane. The driver was issued a penalty assessment.
On 1/18/25, at approximately 2:24 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for a trespass and possible harassment. Officers arrived and security did not want to file charges, so officers escorted the party out without incident.
On 1/18/25, at approximately 3:11 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to a medical call at 173 Evans View Drive in Black Hawk to assist the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office.
On 1/18/25, at approximately 8:27 a.m., Black Hawk police responded to the Ameristar Casino for an unwanted party. Upon contacting the unwanted party, they refused to leave. The party was issued a summons for trespass along with disturbing the peace. The party was later transported to a nearby hospital for high intoxication level. A report was completed.
On 1/18/25, at approximately 3:57 a.m., Black Hawk police received a call involving a stolen snowplow that was taken on 1/18/25 at Bally's Casino North. The reporting party was contacted by phone and a report was taken.
On 1/18/25, at approximately 9:47 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino for a disturbance at the sportsbook. When the officers arrived each party of the incident was separated. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested and charged with obstruction and was given a summons and released.
On 1/18/25, at approximately 11 p.m., an officer effected an arrest on a party for obstructing a peace officer and false reporting to authorities. A summons was issued and a report was completed.
On 1/18/25, an officer responded to a call about a counterfeit bill at the Monarch Casino. The party who had the counterfeit bill was contacted by officers and the bill was confiscated.
On 1/18/25, at approximately 10:05 a.m., Black Hawk police received a call about an intoxicated male party at the Monarch Casino. Upon arrival, officers contacted the male party and later escorted him to his hotel room without incident.
On 1/19/25, at approximately 2:24 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a purse theft. Suspects were not yet identified. A report was taken.
On 1/19/25, at approximately 4:55 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a trespass at Monarch Casino. Officers arrived and issued a summons for trespass.
On 1/19/25, Black Hawk police department responded to Monarch Casino to a report of an underage party on the gaming floor. Officers confirmed with casino staff that the male party was indeed gaming and could not verify his ID. Officers tried to clear this party's verbal name and date of birth with no success. Officers stood by while the casino issued a trespass.
On 1/19/25, Black Hawk police department responded to Lodge Casino on a report of a theft. Officers contacted the victim party for clarity. The victim stated that there was not a theft, and they just wanted to report suspicious activity. Officers issued a case report number and cleared the scene.
On 1/20/25, Black Hawk officers assisted the Colorado Division of Gaming in locating a suspect. The suspect was successfully located and Gaming issued a summons.
On 1/20/25, Black Hawk officers observed an intoxicated male party fall inside the casino and hit his head. Medical was dispatched and the officer cleared the scene.
On 1/20/25, an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a wanted party. The wanted party was arrested and booked at the Gilpin County Jail.
On 1/20/25, at approximately 1:56 p.m., an officer responded to the 300 block of Miners Road on a report of a traffic accident. One party was issued a summons for the accident and expired license plates.
On 1/20/25, at approximately 2:28 p.m., an officer responded to mile marker 7.3 on Highway 119 area for a motor vehicle accident.
On 1/20/25, an officer responded to the Dakota Lot on a report of an abandoned dog inside a vehicle. The owner was contacted and came to the vehicle. The owner took the dog to the Lodge Casino to figure out hotel situations.
On 1/20/25, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to Monarch Casino on a report of a trespassed party back on property. The officer made contact with the party and issued a summons.
On 1/20/25, Black Hawk police were dispatched to a report of a theft in the City of Black Hawk. Officers located the suspect on scene and retrieved the stolen property. The suspect was issued a summons and released.
On 1/20/25, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to 271 High Street on a report of a suspicious male around the resident's home. Officers searched the area and did not locate any suspicious activity.
On 1/20/25, an officer was doing a routine area check at the Lady Luck Casino parking garage. The officer observed a suspicious vehicle on level three. The vehicle turned out to be stolen and the party inside the vehicle was arrested.
On 1/21/25, at approximately 1:42 p.m., an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of stolen Apple ear pods. A suspect was identified and was issued a summons for theft.
On 1/22/25, Black Hawk officers were dispatched to Monarch Casino on a report of a trespassed party back on property. The officer contacted this party and issued a summons. The party was released and officers cleared the scene.
On 1/22/25, an officer responded to the Horseshoe Casino for a firearm found in the hotel. The item was collected and a report taken.
On 1/22/25, at approximately 12:40 p.m., officers received a call from an off-duty officer reporting that they had witnessed a vehicle driving erratically on Highway 119 heading into Black Hawk. The off-duty officer followed the subject into the Bally's parking garage. Officers located the female driver and confirmed that she was not under the influence and was just fatigued. She agreed to rest and prepare herself to drive home when she was finished gambling. The driver received a verbal warning.
On 1/22/25, an officer was dispatched to the Wild Card Casino for a recovered counterfeit bill. The owner was contacted and a report was taken.
On 1/23/25, at approximately 1:19 a.m., officers were trying to locate a silver Honda Pilot. The driver of the Honda was involved in a potential domestic violence at the Grand Z Casino. The vehicle fled from officers but officers were able to locate the suspect and place them in custody. The subject was arrested on Black Hawk and Gilpin County charges and booked into jail. A report was completed.
On 1/23/25, at approximately 6:16 p.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to the Monarch Hotel on a report of a stolen flute. Upon further investigation, police were notified that the flute had been located and the owner was contacted.
On 1/23/25, an officer responded to the Horseshoe Hotel for a domestic/violation of protection order issue. Upon arrival, the suspect was located and taken into custody for the violation and then transported to the Gilpin County Jail.
On 1/23/25, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the Wild Card Casino reported someone passing a fake $100 bill. The suspect stated he received it from someone paying cash for his concrete services. The bill was seized for evidence. The suspect was not charged in this case.

On 1/23/25, at approximately 9:05 p.m., an officer made contact with a male party inside the Bobtail Restrooms. The restroom closes after 9 p.m. and the party was inside the male restroom. The party was issued a summons for trespassing.
On 1/24/25, at approximately 2 p.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a welfare check at Monarch Casino. When officers arrived they were given information about a protection order. After verifying the protected party was with the violator, officers were able to arrest without incident. The violator was taken to get a medical clearance and booked into Gilpin County Jail.
On 1/24/25, the Black Hawk Police Department was notified of a purse theft that occurred at the Ameristar Casino in the early morning hours of 1/23/25. The reporting party was contacted by phone and a report was taken.
On 1/24/25, at approximately 11:21 a.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to Central City to assist with a lockout. The female party was contacted and the lockout was successful. The female party however had a suspended license and a proof of service was given.

A suspect was identified with the help of casino management and the Colorado Department of Gaming. The suspect was later taken into custody and transported to the Gilpin County Jail due to having numerous warrants. The suspect was also issued a summons for theft and trespass.
On 1/24/25, at approximately 8:21 p.m., Black Hawk officers were conducting a routine area check of the Dakota Lot when they observed a fictitious temp tag on a vehicle. The temp tag was collected and the driver was tracked down and was issued a summons.

On 1/24/25, at approximately 9:54 p.m., Black Hawk police officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of an intoxicated guest refusing to leave. Upon investigations, the suspect was charged with harassment. The suspect was then arrested for obstruction and false reporting.

Officers checked the exterior and interior of a residence and found nothing to be amiss. Officers were called back to the residence and checked the exterior with nothing unusual found. On 1/25/25, at approximately 3:08 a.m., Black Hawk officers were dispatched to a possible theft at the Monarch Casino. When Black Hawk officers arrived they spoke to the possible victim, after talking with the victim officers determined that there possibly be harassment and domestic violence. After locating the suspect and watching surveillance footage, officers determined that the claims were unfounded.
On 1/25/25, officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a suspicious vehicle possibly consuming narcotics. The vehicle was contacted and three males were arrested for outstanding warrants. No additional charges were added.

On 1/30/25, Black Hawk police were notified of a fraud call that occurred at the Monarch Casino. The reporting party was contacted by phone and stated that they discovered numerous fraudulent transitions after using a debit card at an ATM located at the casino. After investigating the ATM and working with Monarch Surveillance. There was no evidence that the card information was stolen within the city of Black Hawk. A report however was taken.
On 1/30/25, at approximately 6:29 p.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of an intoxicated party refusing to leave. Officers discovered that the party had a warrant and took the party to jail on the warrant.
On 1/30/25, at approximately 9:12 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Monarch Casino for a trespass. When officers arrived, security handed us a self-exclusion trespass signed by the suspect. Officers issued a summons for trespass.
On 1/31/25, at approximately 12:41 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a trespassed party. The party was later arrested on a warrant, and was given a municipal summons for trespass.
On 1/31/25, Black Hawk police officers responded to the Saratoga Casino for a suspicious party. Once on scene, a male was contacted and was later determined to have a warrant for his arrest. After searching the male, discovered that he was in possession of a controlled substance and Drug Paraphernalia. The male was transported to the Gilpin County Jail and jailed for the warrant. A summons was issued for possession and paraphernalia charges.
On 1/31/25, at approximately 7:54 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop for no visible license plate. The driver was issued a summons.
On 1/31/25, at approximately 8:14 p.m., officers were dispatched to Bally's East parking lot for damaged property. When officers arrived, they determined that Vehicle One was driving forward out of a parking spot and side-swiped Vehicle Two which was parked in the parking spot next to Vehicle One. Vehicle One pulled Vehicle Two's bumper off the frame. Insurance information was exchanged.
On 1/31/25, at approximately 11:46 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino for a possible assault. Officers arrived and detained the possible suspect after investigation officers arrested the suspect for assault and harassment without incident. The suspect was taken to Gilpin County Jail for booking.
