Please plan on attending one or more of the 2013 Departmental Job Fairs where you will interview with hiring managers for the upcoming 2013-14 season. All job fairs will be held at the Indian Peaks Lodge located at the base area of Eldora Mountain Resort.
It is preferred that an on-line application be completed prior to attending a job fair. Also, it is important that Eldora’s Grooming and Personal Appearance policy is reviewed and applicants are willing to abide by the policy if offered a position. A personal interview with hiring managers is required prior to an offer of employment being extended. Phone and/or Skype interviews will not be done in lieu of the personal interview.

Snowmakers – Our Snowmakers are the first step to a great season at Eldora Mountain Resort! This position includes operation of snow guns, keeping equipment clear of snow (shoveling) and moving equipment from trail to tral. The position works 12-hour shifts, day or night. Must be able to work outside in physically demanding winter conditions; have the ability to safely lift, drag and/or pull over 75 lbs on a regular basis; and have the flexibility to work weekends and holidays during the ski season. Starting rate is $10.00 per hour.
Group Sales – JOB FAIR: Saturday, November 2, 9:00am – 2:00pm
Group Sales Assistant – The Group Sales Assistant will play a critical role in our Group Sales Department. They will assist the Group Sales Coordinator with booking local and out-of-state groups, greeting and hosting groups upon their arrival, and assisting with other day-to-day activities in the department. This is a full time position requiring a guest focused, assertive, self-directed person who wants to work hard for a fun company. Must be willing and able to work weekends and holidays. Starting rate is $10.00/hour.
slopes- JOB FAIRS: Saturday, November 2 9:00am – 2:00pm ONLY
Snowcat Operator – Snow Groomers ensure that our guests are provided with safe and high quality skiing and snowboarding surfaces every day during the season. Each night constantly changing weather conditions create different challenges for the Snow Groomers to prepare a high quality and safe snow surface for the following day’s skiers and snowboarders. Eldora is looking for an experienced snow cat operator with at least 2 years grooming experience. Candidate must be proficient with blade and tiller operations. Winch cat and terrain park building is a plus. Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Accounting – JOB FAIRS: Thursday, October 31 8:30am – 12:00pm; Saturday, November 2 9:00am – 2:00pm; Wednesday, November 6 8:30 am – 12:00pm
Auditor – Responsibilities include, but not limited to: examing and analyzing accounting records; auditing and counting cash on hand, preparing reports concerning operating procedures; inspecting and verifying payment entries. Acounting background and prior cash handling experience preferred. Part time position averaging 15 hrs per week starting in mid-November. Position can be combined with other part time positions such as Uniform Room Attendant. Days off are flexible depending on schedule. Starting pay: $10.00

Cashiers – Our guests value our service and ensuring their satisfaction is our goal. As a Cashier you will be responsible for providing friendly service to guests while handling purchases, accepting payment and making change. In addition, your responsibilites include: moving guests through the cash register area in a quick and efficient manner; accurate handling and counting of cash; maintaining cleanliness of cashier area; and resolving and assisting guests with any questions.
Cashiers must also have the flexibility of rotating posts to other cashiering departments as assigned. Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season. Starting rate is $9.00 per hour.
Reservation Information Representatives – Be a valuable asset to our resort by providing exceptional customer service in making reservations for lessons in an inbound call center environment. It is the Representative’s responsibility to match guests’ needs with the appropriate products, while setting clear and accurate expectations and ensuring reservations are free from error.
Excellent communication, customer service & sales skills, teamwork, basic computer skills and the ability to work in an office environment are a must, as well as maintainiing call flow efficiency and customer satisfaction. Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season. Starting rate is $10.00 per hour.
Rentals – JOB FAIRS: Saturday, November 2 9:00am – 2:00pm; & Thursday, November 7 1:00pm – 4:30pm
Rentals Supervisor – Responsible for assisting the Rentals Manager in providing outstanding equipment rental experiences for our guests. This position is “hands on” getting guests fitted and out the door seamlessly; assisting in hiring, training, scheduling and motivating the team; being a role model and administering company policies; and controlling and maintaining equipment inventory. The successful candidate will have an unwavering commitment to guest service, have excellent communication skills and ski rentals experience. Supervisory experience preferred. Ski tuning skills helpful but not required. Must be able to work weekends and holidays during the ski season. Position starts approximately November 1. Starting pay is $11.00 to $12.00 per hour, depending upon experience.
Rental Technicians – Getting guests ready to hit the slopes by having the proper equipment is essential to an enjoyable experience at Eldora. As a Rental Technician, your duties include but are not limited to: assisting guests with appropriate ski or snowboard equipment and outerwear rental; setting skis and snowboards. Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season. Students (age 16-17) may work in rentals fitting boots. Starting rate is $8.25 per hour for Technicians and $7.78 per hour for students.
Repair Technicians – Sometimes skis and snowboards need repairing and this position provides top notch service to those guests in need of equipment repair. Having the ability to communicate effectively with our guests to ensure their needs are met is one key component to this position. You may also assist customers with rental selections, and educating them on the proper care and use of the equipment. Also, maintaining the rental equipment is in good condition is an important requirement to ensure the safety of our guests. Prior experience required. Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season. Starting rate is $9.91 per hour.
Food and Beverage – JOB FAIRS: Saturday, November 2 9:00am – 2:00pm; & Wednesday, November 6 8:30am – 12:00pm
Cooks – Help to ensure our guests are well-nourished during their time at Eldora! This position is an entry level cooking position requiring a positive work ethic. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: understanding the importance of standards, speed and quality; practicing good personal hygience, safe food handling and culinary skills and performing basic cooking tasks for the cafeteria. Must have the flexibility to work weekends and holidays during the ski season. Starting rate is $9.00 per hour.

Retail Associate – Come be part of our exciting Sales team! The responsibilities for this position include: ensuring outstanding customer service by providing a friendly environment, greeting and acknowledging all customers, and assisting them with locating merchandise. Other duties include but are not limited to: generating sales, keeping current on product knowledge, completing sales utilizing POS system with accuracy and efficiency, maintaining awareness of all promotions, sales and advertising. Cash handling experience preferable but not required. There are full-time and part-time opportunities available. Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season. Starting rate is $9.00 per hour.
Lift Operations – JOB FAIRS: Saturday, November 2 9:00am – 2:00pm; & Wednesday, November 6 1:00pm – 4:30pm
Lift Operators – Ensuring our guests have a memorable experience goes hand in hand with their safety. Executing the safe, efficient and courteous loading and unloading of skiers and riders is essential to this position. The position also requires shoveling and maintaining safe levels of snow throughout the entire lift station area. It is also of great importance to interact with guests to ensure a positive experience, promote safety in the workplace and maintain clean and neat work stations. Must be willing to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions. Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season. Starting rate $8.75/hour.
Lift Operations Supervisor – This person will work closely with the Lift Operations Manager and will be responsible for the performance of the Lift Operators. Our goal is to provide a safe, friendly, courteous and helpful guest experience. Other responsibilities will include: upholding and modeling excellent guest service expectations at all times; promoting safety in the workplace and maintaining clean and neat work stations; training and coaching team members at assigned lifts and working cooperatively with peers, managers and interdepartmental contacts; maintaining operational efficiency; and ensuring the load/unload areas are well groomed. Must also have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season and be willing to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions. Previous supervisory experience required. Starting pay is $12.00 per hour.
Base Operations (Parking & Cleaning/Snow Plow Drivers) – JOB FAIRS: Saturday, November 2 9:00am – 2:00pm; & Wednesday, November 6 1:00pm – 4:30pm
Base Operations Staff – This position is an excellent avenue for getting to learn about the resort’s day to day operatons. Your responsibilities include, but not limited to: guiding guests to their appropriate parking spots; cleaing common areas (tables, floor and restrooms); keeping outdoor walkways and entrances clear of snow by shoveling or using a snow blower; driving a bus to shuttle resort guests (Commercial driver license not necessary). Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season. Starting rate is $9.00 per hour, plus monthly cafeteria credit.
Snow Plow Drivers – First impressions are essential for ensuring our guests have a memorable and unforgettable experience. Having a clean, snow free parking lot is key for our guests’ first impression. We are seeking experienced heavy equipment operators to accomplish this. Ideal candidates will have experience safely operating a 936 loader (or similar) and a dump style truck with a blade attachment. Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays, as well as late nights/early mornings in adverse conditions during the ski season. Starting wage is $12.00 – $14.00 per hour.

Ski Instructors (Non-certified or PSIA certified) – If you have the knack for skiing and have the ability to teach your skills to others, WE WANT YOU as a ski instructor! Our instructors provide quality ski lessons in a safe and fun manner in both group and private lessons to children and adults of varying ability levels. You must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season and be an intermediate to advanced skier. Mostly part-time positions available. Pay rate is $10.00 per hour (non-certified) and $11.25 – $15.25 per hour based on certifications.
We will have a limited number of openings for snowboard instructors for the 2013-14 season.

Our Nordic Center provides another great experience for our guests on the mountain.
Nordic Instructors (Nordic & Telemark, Non-certified & PSIA certified) – Instructors ensure the best possible experience for our guests. Responsibilities include instructing group and private lessons of varying ages and abilities; guide snowshoe tours; assist with rental gear. Part-time positions only. Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season. Starting rate is $10.00 per hour (non-certified) and $11.25 – $15.25 per hour (based on certification).
Cashier/Rental Technicians – This position entails being the first point of contact for our guests at the Nordic Center. The essential duties include, but are not limited to: selling tickets, rentals, and retail products to guests; assisting with maintenance of lodge and Nordic gear; assisting with monely retail inventory. Must have the flexibility and ability to work weekends and holidays during the ski season. Experience wth Nordic skiing or retail sales is preferred but not required. Starting rate is $9.00 per hour.
Ski Patroller – Our Ski Patrollers have a passion for working outdoors and providing great guest service. Duties include promoting guest safety, assisting injured guests and administering first aid, setting up mountain safety equipment, and maintaining and checking trails. Must have a Colorado EMT or OEC certification (no exceptions), be an expert skier or rider in all snow conditions, be able to lift up to 60 pounds regularly, and have a good driving record (for snowmobile transportation). Starting rate is $9.00 per hour.
Tai Chi is done from 4:15 to 5:15 on Fridays at the studio.

The tenets of order and simplicity is applied in this Korean martial art. Tae Kwon Do emphasizes increased coordination, balance, mental awareness, confidence and overall fitness. These family-oriented classes are ideal for children and adults.
This is your opportunity to train your dog with a trainer certified in “Clicker” training. Your dog must have basic obedience and be able to get along with other dogs. Learn teeter-totter, a-frame, jumps and agility.
All Town of Nederland Meetings are held at the Community Center unless otherwise noted. Board of Trustees Meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at 7 PM.
Open Mic Night at the Pioneer Inn starts at 8 pm and usually features a musician at 10 pm.
Bring your kids and we’ll play with them, read books, color, or put in a movie while you get a break and get in shape too.
