We need to bring our own boats/gear via car tops (trailers not allowed), carry them about 100 yards, and have enough experience to be independent on the water. This is not an instructional outing, although he will gladly provide tips/advice as requested during the 2-3 hours we paddle around the Res, including stops for snacks/stretches. Boats must be marked with the owners’ names, addresses, and phone numbers and

everyone must have a whistle on their personal flotation device. He welcomes your questions via email or phone at lucky2b1 – at – gmail.com or 303-258-7712.

Featured Event! Aspen Leaf Community Pancake Breakfast & Raffle

The leaves already began turning in August, but we are optimistic we will still enjoy brilliant color during the community pancake breakfast on Saturday & Sunday, October 1&2, 8am—11am, at the

Please consider volunteering to help for a couple of hours, especially on Sunday. We have loads of fun together serving neighbors and raising funds that support seniors.

Please help us spread the word of welcome to everyone and let them know that the menu is more than fluffy pancakes—eggs, sausage, yogurt, granola, fruit, orange juice, and coffee round out the menu—all for only $5 over age 60 (requested contribution), $8 Adult, $4 kids under 12.

Our 50-50 cash split raffle to be drawn October 5 offers chances at $1 each or 6 for $5. Just drop in—no reservations required! Thank you!

Storytimes

Storytimes are a great way to bond with your child while introducing them to crucial learning concepts such as phonological awareness, rhyme, letter recognition and most of all…Reading as a fun and engaging activity!

It is never too early to start,
“By the age of 2, children who are read to regularly display greater language comprehension, larger vocabularies, and higher cognitive skills than their peers.” Raikes, et al. Child Development, 2016.

Movers and Shakers:
Wednesdays 10:30-11:00 am
(best for children 2 and younger)
In this Storytime, we explore the six foundations of Early Literacy; Read, Write, Sing, Talk and Play, using books, songs and rhymes. Bubbles, toys, and puppets are given after the stories are read to provide fun and enriching opportunities for you and your child to bond and learn together.

Read, Play, Grow:
Thursdays 10:30-11:15 a.m.
(best for children 2 1/2 and older)
In Read, Play, Grow, we use stories, songs and activities to enhance your child’s ability to recognize, comprehend, and follow words, sentences and story-lines. Attending this Storytime before your child enters kindergarten ensures that your child has the Early Literacy skills they need to succeed. A craft is introduced each week to help develop fine and gross motor skills, and to enhance artistic expression.
