Black Hawk Police Reports December 2017

 

On 12/1/17 an officer was dispatched to the Ameristar Hotel regarding a reported assault. Suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 12/01/17 officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a fire alarm. Gilpin Ambulance and Fire responded and treated individuals with minor injuries. Officers investigated, determined it was a false alarm, and arrested two individuals.

On 12/1/17 at approximately 3:13 p.m., an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of found narcotic paraphernalia. A suspect was arrested for a warrant out of another jurisdiction and a report was taken.

On 12/1/17 an officer responded to the southwest corner of Hwy 119 and Black Hawk Street for an RV on fire. The vehicle was taken into safe keeping by Black Hawk Towing.

On 12/1/17 while on routine patrol, an officer noticed the retaining wall attached to the curb in front of Saratoga Casino was damaged and had been hit. No suspects were identified and a report was taken.

On 12/2/17 at approximately 4:45 p.m., an officer responded the Saratoga Casino on the report of a warrant pick up. The suspect was found and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.

On 12/3/17 officers responded to the Lady Luck Casino on the report of a counterfeit bill. The bill was confiscated, and a report was taken.

On 12/3/17 at approximately 8:02 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle displaying a defective headlamp in the 400 Block of Main Street. The driver was arrested on an outstanding warrant and issued a summons.

On 12/3/17 at approximately 8:17 p.m., officers responded to the Lady Luck hotel lobby, to speak with a female who stated she was being followed. An informational report has been completed.

On 12/4/17 at approximately 1:31 a.m., officers were notified of a vehicle break in that occurred in Crooks Palace parking lot. There is no suspect information.

On 12/4/17 at approximately 10:00 a.m., an officer responded to a call of personal injury on city property. The victim was interviewed and a report was taken.

On 12/4/17 an officer was dispatched to the Wild Card Casino for a report of a personal injury accident. The victim was interviewed, no medical attention was required and a report was taken.

On 12/4/17 an officer responded to a call of a personal injury accident, at the Sasquatch Casino. The victim was interviewed, and a report was taken.

On 12/4/17 officers responded to the Mardi Gras Casino on the report of a damaged slot machine. A suspect was identified, contacted and issued a municipal summons.

On 12/5/17 at approximately 11:15 a.m., members of the Black Hawk Police Department heard water running inside the communications center. Information was gathered for the report.

On 12/6/17 officers were dispatched to the Bull Durham Casino to take an informational report. A follow up investigation was conducted at a residence and a report was taken.

On 12/4/17 at approximately 5:29 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of an intoxicated party. The male party was given a courtesy ride to Saint Anthony’s Hospital, where he voluntarily checked himself in.

On 2/6/17 at approximately 2:56 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a disturbance between two male parties.

On 12/6/17 at approximately 3:35 p.m., officers responded to the Mardi Gras Casino on the report of a male party selling fake jewelry to patrons. There is no suspect information. This is an informational report only.

On 12/6/17 an officer was dispatched to the Saratoga Casino for a counterfeit bill. The bill was recovered and booked into Evidence.

On 12/6/17 an officer was dispatched to the Ameristar Casino, 111 Richman Street, reference found drugs). Report taken.

On 12/6/17 officers were dispatched to Golden Gates Casino regarding damaged property.

On 12/7/17 officers conducted a traffic stop on an adult male who was taken into custody on a warrant and issued a summons for driving while suspended.

On 12/8/17 officers were dispatched to the Ameristar parking garage reference a REDDI report. Suspect was taken into custody for DUI.

On 12/9/17 at approximately 6:10 a.m., Black Hawk officers responded to the Ameristar parking garage regarding a REDDI (Report Every Drunk Driver Immediately) report. One female was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

On 12/917 at approximately 8:00 p.m., an officer responded to the Red Dolly Casino 530 Gregory Street on the report of a cold theft. A suspect was identified and a report was taken.

On 12/9/17 at approximately 10:50 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle for not displaying headlights. The male driver was arrested on several outstanding warrants, possession of heroine and a dangerous weapon.

On 12/10/17 at approximately 2:09 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of found drugs.

On 12/10/17 at approximately 3:28 a.m., officers responded to the Isle Casino on the report of an intoxicated female making suicidal statements.

On 12/10/17 at approximately 4:27p.m., officers responded to the Gilpin Casino on a report of a counterfeit bill. The bill was seized and a report was completed.

On 12/10/17 at approximately 8:04 p.m., officers responded to the Monarch Casino on a report of a counterfeit bill. The bill was seized and a report was completed.

On 12/10/17 at approximately 8:20 p.m., an officer responded to the Golden Gulch Casino on the report of a stolen coat. The coat was found and returned to the owner. The suspect who took it was identified and the officer’s attempt to find him was unsuccessful. A report was taken.

On 12/11/17 at approximately 11:32 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Main Street. The driver was released on a summons.

On 12/11/17 at approximately 8:32a.m., officers responded to the 300 block of Main Street on a call of two minors who tried to enter the Monarch Casino. One of the male parties was a minor, he was cleared and came back with a warrant. The minor was taken into custody and transported to the Mount-view Detention Center on the warrant.

On 12/11/17 The Black Hawk Police Department took a report of damage to a motor vehicle at the Ameristar Casino. It was unclear if the damage occurred on Ameristar Casino property.

On 12/11/17 officer took a phone report for a lost ring that occurred between 12/6/2017 and 12/8/2017 from the Ameristar Hotel. A report was taken.

On 12/12/17 at approximately 12:01 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle in the 200 Block of Main Street. The driver was issued a summons for fictitious license plates and transported to Saint Anthony’s for medical reasons.

On 12/12/17 at approximately 11:07 a.m., an officer took a phone report of damage to a parked vehicle, on private property. The two parties decided to handle it between each other.

On 12/12/17 officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Main Street about a disturbance.

On 12/13/17 at approximately 3:03 a.m., officers responded to the area of the Ameristar Casino parking garage on the report of a REDDI. A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle at mile marker 5.5, Highway 119. The male driver was transported to Gilpin County Jail without incident.

On 12/13/17 officers responded to the Ameristar Casino to investigate a disturbance at the Ameristar Casino. A male party was arrested and taken to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 12/13/17 an officer responded to the Sasquatch Casino on the report of a disturbance. The suspect was charged with harassment and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 12/14/17 an officer responded to the Z Casino parking lot for a citizen assist. During call, a party was found to have an active felony warrant. Suspect was arrested and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 12/14/17 an officer received a phone report of a lost/stolen cellphone from the Saratoga Casino.

On 12/14/17 an officer responded to a hit and run accident at the Ameristar Casino parking garage level 6. The suspect was later issued a county summons for unsafe backing and failure to remain at scene of accident.

On 12/14/17 officers were dispatched to Lady Luck Garage referencing suspicious activity (man with a firearm). The incident was unfounded.

On 12/14/17 officers were dispatched to the Ameristar casino regarding lost/missing property.

On 12/15/17 officers contacted a male and female at the Isle Casino. The male was the restrained on a protection order against the female. The male was taken into custody and transported to Gilpin County Jail.

On 12/14/17 at approximately 11:30 p.m., an officer noticed a dog left inside a car which was parked at the Isle garage. The dog was taken to the Black Hawk Police Department. The owner arrived later the next morning to pick up the dog and received a ticket for cruelty to animals.

On 12/15/17 officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Hotel referencing public indecency. 3 juvenile children were present while two parties engaged in sexual intercourse. Two suspects were identified and two arrests were made.

On 12/16/17 officers responded to the Ameristar Casino parking garage on the report of drug use. Three parties were contacted and issued citations.

On 12/16/17 an officer responded to the Lodge Casino for a reported stolen cellular phone. A report was taken.

On 12/16/17 an officer responded to the Golden Gates Casino on report of found property.

On 12/16/17 an officer handled a traffic accident report at the Ameristar Casino.

On 12/17/17 at approximately 2:26 a.m., officers responded to the Saratoga Casino on the report of a missing vehicle. After later investigation, the vehicle was stolen from valet. There is no suspect information.

On 12/17/17 at approximately 4:00 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino, regarding an assault. One male suspect was arrested and taken to Gilpin County Jail.

On 12/17/17 at approximately 5:15 a.m., officers responded to the Isle Casino on the report of an assault. One male party was transported to Gilpin County Jail without incident.

On 12/17/17 at approximately 5:18 p.m., an officer came upon a physical disturbance in front of the Lodge Casino 340 Main Street. An investigation was conducted and a suspect was arrested for assault.

On 12/25/17 an officer was dispatched on the report of a two car non-injury motor vehicle accident, at 196 Clear Creek St. A Colorado State accident report was completed.

On 12/25/17 at approximately 5:45 p.m., an officer responded to the Isle Casino Valet parking area 401 Main Street on the report of a motor vehicle crash. Upon investigation, there was a dispute on what damage was made and who was at fault, so the officer completed a crash report and issued a citation.

On 12/25/17 at approximately 9:50 p.m., officers responded to the Lodge Casino on a report of a purse theft. The purse was recovered and a male suspect was issued a summons for theft.

On 12/26/17 an officer took a report of possible harassment at the Isle.

On 12/27/17 an officer conducted a welfare check with a vehicle parked in the roadway.

On 12/28/17 at approximately 11:35 p.m., an officer responded to the Saratoga Casino on a report of a counterfeit bill.

On 12/28/17 officers were dispatched to contact a reporting party via phone regarding a criminal trespass that occurred at the Isle Casino parking garage.

On 12/29/17 an officer took a report of a lost cellphone at the Isle Casino.

On 12/29/17 officers responded to the bus turnaround across from the Ameristar Casino on the report of a light pole laying in the street. The light pole was moved to a safer location, and a report was completed.

On 12/29/17 an officer responded to the Golden Gates Casino on report of a stolen jacket. A report was taken.

On 12/29/17 officers initiated a traffic stop on Highway 119 Mile Marker 5.4. The driver had a warrant, was taken into custody, and was transported to Gilpin County Jail.

On 12/31/17 at approximately 1:05 a.m., an officer responded to the Isle Casino regarding a suicidal male. The individual was placed on a mental health hold and transported to Saint Anthony’s hospital.

On 12/31/17 at approximately 3:15 a.m., an officer and sergeant responded to an intoxicated female at the Ameristar Casino. She was transported to a metro area hospital.

On 12/31/17 an officer was flagged down at 340 Main Street, on the report of a party who fell. The party was treated by paramedics on scene, and transported by ambulance to the hospital for further treatment.

On 12/31/17 at approximately 7:32 p.m., an officer responded to the Sasquatch Casino on the report of a stolen wallet. Surveillance provided a still frame photo of the suspect, but he was not identified or found. A report was taken.

On 12/31/17 at approximately 8:57 p.m., officers responded to the Isle Casino on a report of a disturbance. The parties were separated and a report was taken.
