Eagles grab two wins

Barbara Lawlor, Gilpin County.  The Gilpin High School Eagles picked up two wins in the week before winter break, giving them a 3-2 win record.

 

On Thursday, December 14, 2017, the GHS Eagles dominated the Rocky Mountain Lutheran Eagles in a home game, with a 32-21 score taking a quick one-point lead and hanging onto it until the last buzzer sounded.

 

With a three-point lead at halftime, Gilpin came back on onto the court in the second half and widened the gap to the win. Cicely Lepro was the top scorer with nine points and Jessica Wilhelm led rebounds with eight points. Lena Warren had seven steals.
