Black Hawk Police August 2017

On 8/8/17 an officer was dispatched to level one of the KMM parking garage on the report of a motor-vehicle trespass. Case is under further investigation.

 

On 8/8/17 an officer took a phone report regarding the theft of a vehicle license plate. The case is under further investigation.

 

On 8/8/17 at approximately 2:30 a.m., officers responded to The Ameristar Casino on a call of a theft. The male suspect was not identified.

 

On 8/9/17 while on routine follow-up at the Isle Casino, an officer was advised by casino employees of possible fraudulent/counterfeit checks that had been passed on a previous date. Possible suspects have been identified and a report was taken.

 

On 8/9/17 at approximately 7:58 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Lady Luck parking garage on the report of a non-injury vehicle accident.

 

On 8/2/17 at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers received a phone report regarding lost property.

 

On 8/10/17 at approximately 3:19 a.m., a male party turned himself in on a warrant to the Black Hawk Police Department. The male was arrested on the warrant, transported to the Gilpin County jail and booked in.

 

On 8/11/17 an officer was dispatched to the Gilpin Casino on the report of theft of a purse. No suspect information was attainable.

 

On 8/12/17 officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of an intoxicated party refusing to leave. Upon contact, the party resisted and was arrested.

 

On 8/12/17 an officer responded to the Isle Casino on a disturbance. Upon investigation, a suspect was arrested for assault.

 

On 8/12/17 an officer responded to the Isle Casino on the report of false identification being presented by a party at the casino. There is no suspect information.

 

On 08/12/17 at approximately 5:46 p.m., officers responded to Crooks parking lot on the report of a male party shouting about a stolen truck. Upon arrival, officers determined the party was having some form of mental health problems. The party was transported to the hospital for evaluation.

 

On 8/13/17 at approximately 4:25 a.m., an officer responded to the Lady Luck Valet parking lot on the report of a hit and run. There is no suspect information.

 

On 8/10/17 an Officer observed a dog which had been left in a vehicle at the KMM parking garage. The dog remained in the vehicle until 8/13/17, when it was removed by Clear Creek County Animal Services and transported for evaluation and shelter.

 

On 8/13/17 at approximately 8:40 p.m., officers responded to the area of Gregory and Church Street, on a report of fight in progress

 

between a male and female. The suspect fled the scene with the victim in a Chevy pickup truck. The suspect was located in Thornton, arrested and booked into Gilpin County Jail.

 

On 8/14/17 at approximately 6:15 a.m., an officer responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a lost cell phone. A report was taken.

 

On 8/12/17 at approximately Midnight, an officer responded to 111 Richman Street on a call of a lost bracelet. Surveillance did a video review and it was inconclusive, they were unable to determine when or where it was lost.

 

On 8/14/17 officers responded to a disturbance outside the Lady Luck Casino. One individual was taken to the Arapahoe House for detox.

 

On 8/14/17 an officer took a report from a doctor at Northeast Emergency Department in Thornton of a man in the ER for a knife wound to the abdomen, which seemed suspicious. Investigation determined the wound to be self-inflicted.

 

On 8/16/16 at approximately 2:25 a.m., officers were informed that a male party had been previously trespassed from the casino and was observed on camera going into a hotel room. The suspect was contacted in the room, issued a county summons for trespassing and escorted off the property.

 

On 8/16/17 an officer responded to the Ameristar Hotel for a party with possible warrants. Upon contact, the party was found to have two active warrants and was transported to the Gilpin Jail.

 

On 8/16/17 an officer was dispatched to a hit and run at the Isle Casino. No suspect information was attainable.

 

On 8/16/17 officers were dispatched to the Saratoga Casino on the report of a civil standby, and possible assault and/or harassment. After further investigation, the male suspect was issued and released on a municipal summons for harassment.

 

On 8/17/17 an officer stopped a car for expired plates. The driver was wanted out of Denver County and the driver’s license was cancelled. The driver was issued a citation and arrested on the warrant.

 

On 8/17/16 an officer was dispatched to Mile Marker 6000 on Highway 119, on the report of a traffic hazard, regarding a pipe in the roadway. After further investigation, it was found someone had struck two CDOT roadway signs without reporting the accident.

 

On 8/18/17 at approximately 9:45 a.m., an officer responded to the Isle Casino located at 401 Main Street on the report of a stolen vehicle. A suspect was not identified and a report was taken.

 

On 8/16/17 at approximately 2:30 a.m., Black Hawk Fire Department responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a male party stuck in the elevator. It was later discovered, the male kicked the elevator while inside and caused it to stop running. A suspect was identified and a report was taken.

 

On 8/18/17 an officer took a phone report of a theft of cellular phone from the Isle Casino. There is no suspect information.

 

On 8/18/17 at approximately 9:37 p.m., officers responded to The Lodge Casino guest safety regarding a possible fraudulent identification. A report was taken regarding the incident.

 

On 8/19/17 an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of an individual, previously called in by the Isle Casino, who was asked to leave property and refused. The party became belligerent with staff but left the property after law enforcement arrived on scene. Officers contacted the male party in front of Mardi Gras Casino and placed him in custody. No charges were filed and party left on bus back to Denver area. A report was taken.

 

On 8/19/17 an officer responded to the Isle Casino on the report of a hit and run traffic accident. There is no suspect information.

 

On 8/19/17 at approximately 6:55 p.m., officers responded to The Ameristar Casino security office regarding possible found drugs in a hotel room. A report was completed regarding the incident.

 

On 8/20/17 an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle displaying fictitious plates. The driver was cited for several traffic offenses and the vehicle was impounded.

 

On 8/20/17 at approximately 1:47 a.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a disturbance between a male and female. The male party was transported to Gilpin County Jail without incident.

 

On 8/20/17 an officer responded to level 7 of the Ameristar Parking Garage on the report of a hit and run accident. There is suspect information.

 

On 8/20/17 at approximately 11:45 p.m., officers responded to the Gilpin Casino on the report of a counterfeit bill.

 

On 8/21/17 officers responded to the Isle Casino on the report of a counterfeit 100-dollar bill. The bill was collected and booked into evidence.

 

On 8/22/17 an officer was dispatched to the police department for a phone report on the report of a stolen cell phone. After further investigation, a suspect was identified, and later issued and released on a municipal summons for theft.

 

On 8/22/17 at approximately 7:59 a.m., officers responded to the Isle Casino on the report of a fake identification card. The identification was confirmed to be forged. The party who passed the forged identification was charged and released.

 

On 8/23/17 an officer handled the report of a personal injury accident in the 200 block of Gregory Street.

 

On 8/24/17 an officer responded to the Isle Casino on the report of a theft. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

 

On 08/25/17, at approximately 12:52 a.m., an officer located a subject with an outstanding misdemeanor warrant, on the gaming floor of the Isle Casino. One party is in custody.

 

On 8/25/17 an officer responded to the Golden Gates Casino on the report of a family disturbance. The parties involved were contacted and assistance was provided to the victim. No crime had occurred.

 

On 08/25/17 at approximately 7:19 p.m., officers performed a welfare check of a vehicle parked at approximately mile marker 7.8 on Highway 119. Officers located a deceased person inside the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.

 

On 8/25/17 at approximately 8:07 p.m., officers responded to The Lady Luck Casino garage 3rd floor on a reported vehicle break in. A report was completed regarding the incident.

 

On 8/25/17 officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a found firearm. The firearm was secured and a report was completed.

 

On 8/26/17 an officer responded to the Isle Casino on the report of a trespass. The suspect was cited and released on a municipal summons.

 

On 8/26/17 officers responded to a call at the KMM Parking Garage on the report of theft from a motor vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.

 

On 8/26/17 at approximately 7:26 p.m., officers responded to The Monarch Casino garage entrance regarding a 2 vehicle accident with possible injuries. A female was cited for careless driving.

 

On 8/26/17 an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a theft. The suspect was cited and released on a Gilpin County summons.

 

On 8/27/17 officers responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a theft. A suspect has been identified.
