July Black Hawk Police reports

On 7/3/17 at approximately 3:31 a.m. officers responded to the Isle Casino on the report of theft of a purse. The suspect was transported to Gilpin County Jail without incident.

 

On 7/3/17 BHPD officers were dispatched to a reported domestic violence incident in the Isle Casino parking garage. The parties had already left when the officers arrived. A short time later, Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a domestic at the Z-Stop involving the same parties. An officer responded and a female was arrested for Third Degree Assault/DV.

 

On 7/3/17 officers responded to a casino on a report of trespassing. A male was contacted who had been court ordered to stay out of all Black Hawk casinos on 2/15/18. The male was issued a summons for trespassing.

 

On 7/4/17 at approximately 10:28 p.m., an officer performed a traffic stop with a vehicle on Highway 119 and Mile Marker 5.9. A female driver was arrested for DUI.

 

On 7/4/17 officers responded to Golden Gates Casino on a report of a theft. Upon arrival, the individual had lost his property and a report was taken.

 

On 7/4/17 at approximately 7:39 p.m., officers observed a vehicle traveling Southbound on Highway 119 at Main Street with fictitious license plates. The driver was subsequently arrested for DUI.

 

On 7/4/17 officers responded to the report of a physical altercation on the 300 block of Main Street.

 

After an investigation, one individual was issued a summons for DUI and was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

 

On 7/5/17 an officer took the report of found property. Items were found on Miners Mesa Road by a city employee.

 

On 7/5/17 at approximately 7:05 p.m., officers responded to The Isle Capri Casino on a report of a counterfeit $5.00 bill that was found at the craps table. A male was contacted and the counterfeit $5.00 bill was confiscated.

 

On 7/6/17 an officer was dispatched to the Golden Gates Casino on the report of a suicidal party. The party was transported to the hospital.

 

On 7/6/17 officers were dispatched to the report of drugs found at the Z Casino. A bag containing a crystal like substance was located, and a report was taken.

 

On 7/6/17 an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of counterfeit bills. The counterfeit bills were collected and a report was taken.

 

On 7/7/17 officers responded to a report of property damage at Black Hawk City Hall. After an investigation, no citations were issued, a report was taken.

 

On 7/7/17 officers contacted a party at the Saratoga Casino. The individual was cleared and had active warrants. The individual was arrested and transported to Gilpin County Jail.

 

On 7/7/17 officers responded to the report of a counterfeit bill at the Lodge Casino. The bill was confiscated and a report was taken.

 

On 7/7/17 at 11:28 a.m., while on patrol in the KMM parking garage, officers contacted a vehicle occupied by four people for a welfare check. One male party was transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

 

On 7/8/17 at approximately 12:55 a.m., an officer initiated a traffic stop in the 400 block of Main Street.

 

The vehicle was towed and the driver was released on a summons.

 

On 7/8/17 at approximately 8:51 a.m., Officers responded to the Saratoga Casino on the report of a stolen cell phone. A suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.

 

On 7/8/17 at approximately 9:06 p.m., officers investigated a reported accident involving a City of Black Hawk bus. A report was completed regarding the incident.

 

On 7/8/17 at approximately 11:11 p.m., officers responded to the Isle Casino on a report of a wallet theft. A suspect was identified and issued a summons for theft.

 

On 7/8/17 at approximately 11:59 p.m., officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of two counterfeit $20 bills.

 

On 7/9/17 at approximately 4:54 a.m., Officers responded to the Isle Casino hotel on the report of a disturbance in hotel room 816.

 

On 7/9/17 officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a theft. The victim was contacted and a report was taken.

 

On 7/9/17 at approximately 5:18 p.m., Officers responded to the report of a physical fight in progress at the Red Dolly Casino. When the officers arrived on scene, the 2 parties involved were separated.

 

Paramedics evaluated both parties for minor injuries and both parties were charged and released.

 

On 7/17/17 officers responded to the Lady Luck parking garage on the report of a theft and assault in progress. One suspect was contacted and arrested on an unrelated warrant.

 

On 7/17/17 at approximately 1:25 p.m., an officer responded to a motor vehicle accident at Church Street and Gregory Street. A report was completed.

 

On 7/17/17 at approximately 5:14 p.m., officers responded to the Golden Gates Casino on the report of an assault in progress. The assault occurred between a boyfriend and girlfriend. The female party was subsequently arrested and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

 

On 7/18/17 at approximately 4:46 a.m., officers responded to The Ameristar Casino on a report of a disturbance between a male and female in a hotel room 3008. The female was arrested and transported to the Gilpin County jail.

 

On 7/18/17 at approximately 4:46 p.m., officers responded to the Isle Casino on the report of found drugs. Upon arrival, he took possession of the drugs and was unable to identify a suspect. The drugs will be destroyed.

 

On 7/20/17 an officer was dispatched to the Isle Casino parking garage, level 4, on the report of stolen construction equipment. The case is under further investigation.

 

On 7/20/17 an officer responded to the Isle Casino parking garage on the report of a criminal trespass to motor vehicle. There is no suspect information.

 

On 7/21/17 at approximately 4:10 p.m., officers received a phone report of a hit and run vehicle accident the occurred at The Ameristar Casino, level 7 of the parking garage. A report was completed regarding the incident.

 

On 7/22/17 at approximately 4:12 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a male party unconscious in the men’s restroom with a female’s purse. The party was transported to the hospital and it was later determined the purse was stolen. Charges will be sought for the party who stole the purse.

 

On 7/22/17 at approximately 5:22 p.m., officers were at the Ameristar Casino on an unrelated case when they were informed of a counterfeit $20 bill. The suspect had exchanged $20 bills with the victim after it would not work in a slot machine. The suspect also stole $20 from the victim prior to fleeing. The suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.

 

On 7/22/17 at approximately 5:30 p.m., an officer responded to The Lady Luck Casino on a call regarding a theft. Officers were unable to identify the suspect.

 

On 7/22/17 officers responded to a report of a vehicle on vehicle accident in the Ameristar Parking Garage. The investigation is ongoing. There are no known suspects at this time.

 

On 7/22/17 an officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a theft. A suspect was cited and released on a municipal summons.

 

On 7/23/17 an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of an intoxicated party. The party was found to be in violation of a protection order and taken into custody.

 

On 7/24/17 officers responded to the Isle Casino on the report of a counterfeit 50-dollar bill. The bill was collected and booked into evidence.

 

On 7/24/17 at approximately 11:24 p.m., officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a male party unconscious and breathing. The male party was found in a bathroom stall with empty prescription pain pill bottles and a needle in his arm. Gilpin paramedics transported him to the hospital.

 

On 7/25/17 at approximately 3:03 a.m., officers responded to the Lady Luck Hotel on the report of a disturbance between a male and female party. The male party was transported to Gilpin County Jail.

 

On 7/25/17 at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers responded to the 200 block of Main Street on the report of damaged property.

 

On 7/25/17 an officer was dispatched to the Isle Casino on the report of found drugs. A report was taken.

 

On 7/26/17 an officer was dispatched to the area of Lady Luck Casino valet on the report of a disturbance. The parties contacted stated that they had no issues, one party was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

 

On 7/26/17 officers were dispatched to the Ameristar Casino parking garage, level six, on the report of two male parties smoking meth inside a truck. After further investigation, one male party left the scene prior to the officers’ arrival, and the other was contacted, arrested and transported to Gilpin County Jail.

 

On 7/26/17 Isle Hotel housekeepers found a handgun in room #1244 when cleaning the room. Officers attempted to contact the person who the room was registered to, but his telephone would not permit a message left on voice mail. The handgun was a BB gun, which was booked into evidence for safekeeping.

 

On 7/26/17 an Officer responded to the Lodge Casino Valet on a REDDI report. There is one suspect in custody.

 

On 7/27/17 an officer was dispatched to the KMM parking garage on the report of disturbance. The parties were separated, a report was taken.

 

On 7/28/17 an officer took a phone report regarding a stolen license plate, possibly stolen while parked in the Isle parking garage, on 7/27/17. The case is under further investigation.

 

On 7/28/17 at approximately 4:14 p.m., officers responded to the area of Highway 119 at Mile Marker 6.1 on the report of a two vehicle accident involving a light pole. The driver who caused the accident was issued a summons and released. All parties involved were cleared by paramedics and both vehicles were towed due to being disabled.

 

On 7/28/17 at approximately 4:34 p.m., officers responded to The Lodge Casino’s security regarding two suitcases that were abandoned at the casino guest check in area. Casino security searched the two suitcases and found possible illegal substances. The suitcase did not contain any information that identified the owner. The illegal items were taken for safekeeping.

 

On 7/29/17 at approximately 11:03 p.m., an officer responded to the Lady Luck Casino on a report of a counterfeit bill. The bill was seized and a report was completed.

 

On 7/30/17 officers responded to the report of a fight between two parties at Ameristar Casino. One male was arrested and charged with two counts of harassment.

 

On 7/30/17 at approximately 11:01 p.m., officers responded to the Isle Casino on the report of a wallet theft. Officers were unable to identify a suspect.
