Eagle boys lose last home game

Barbara Lawlor, Gilpin County.  On Tuesday, February 14, 2017, the Gilpin High School Eagles lost their last home game of the season to the Dayspring Christian Eagles, 41-60.

 
Senior Nick Peterson reached for 12 rebounds and Matthew Immordino was the high scorer with 14 points. Four starting seniors, Peterson, Perez, Lorenz and Immordino will leave a large hole in the lineup next year.

On February 13, the Eagle boys played at the Front Range Christian High School and beat the Falcons, 51-45. Senior Matthew Immordino scored 18 points for the high and junior Austin Boulter had a double double with 10 points and 19 rebounds, a promise of things to come in the future.

 
The Eagles faltered in the third period but made a mighty comeback in the fourth, outscoring the Falcons, 17-9.
