Janet Perry, Peak to Peak. Allenspark has a fun 4th of July Parade scheduled and the best place to view it is along the Highway 7 Business Route between the Post Office and Ferncliff. The Parade begins at 11:00a.m. at the Post Office.
The Jamestown Board of Trustees will be hosting music all day, from 7a.m. until 11PM on the 4th of July. Their Pancake Breakfast goes from 8 until 11a.m. Their 4th of July Parade begins at 11:30 and runs until noon. The National Anthem will then kick off a lunch of burgers, brats and salad. It’s being served until 6:30p.m. The Kids Games, animal balloons and face painting booths also open at noon and run until 3:00p.m. There will be a Pie Eating Contest at 2p.m., Pie and cake judging contest at 3:00p.m. and a Wood Splitting Contest (small fee to compete) starting at 2:00p.m. The Merchandise Booth will be up from 7:30a.m. until 6:30p.m. Be sure to buy a Raffle ticket!
The Gold Hill Fire Protection District’s Annual 4th of July Pancake Breakfast will kick off the day’s festivities. Plain and Blueberry pancakes will be served up, along with bacon and a beverage for $6.50 for Adults and $3.50 for Children. The breakfast runs from 8:30 to 11:00a.m. They have Gluten free cakes available upon request! There will be a “Fill the Boot” campaign going on throughout the day. Free toys will be given out to the first 70 children. The GHFPD says that “This year we will be celebrating those who helped save the town, supported the community and those who helped clean up areas that were burned.”
Rollinsville’s famous venue, The Stage-Stop, is hosting a Pig-Roast and bands all day on the 4th of July.
COAL CREEK CANYON 4th Fest. Pancake breakfast at 7am. Booths open at 9am. Parade lineup at 9:30am. Parade at 10am. Lunch and music at 11am. National Anthem and Flag Ceremony at 11:15am. Events end and cleanup at 3pm.
Central City and Black Hawk boast of becoming “Boom Town” at dusk on the 4th. The Boom Town Band will play in the Stroehle Square Gazebo, Black Hawk St. and Main Street, 4:00 to 8:00p.m. on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Visible across the city, visitors are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the Fireworks show for free. Fireworks begin at dusk, which should be around 9:30p.m.
