Black Hawk Police Reports

On 1/25/16 a report was taken of a stolen jacket from the Saratoga Casino, 101 Main Street. The case is active, still under investigation.

On 1/25/16, an officer was dispatched to the Lodge Casino, 240 Main Street, on the report of theft of a wallet. Case is under further investigation.

On 1/27/16, at approximately 1920 hours an officer was dispatched to the Gilpin Casino (111 Main Street), for an intoxicated male. Upon arrival and investigations, party was issued summons for harassment and released from the scene.

On 1/27/16 Black Hawk Police investigated a report of a cold assault between two parties. A suspect has been identified.

On 1/27/16 Black Hawk officers assisted the Gilpin County Sheriffs Office with a stolen vehicle that had been involved in a pursuit. Two parties were arrested.

On 1/28/16 at approximately 1138 hours an officer responded to 444 Main Street on a call of a theft of a cell phone. The cell phone was not recovered but the suspect was identified and will be contacted.

On 1/28/16 at approximately 1711 hours an officer responded to the report of a party who fell in the street and was injured. The party was transported to the hospital.

On 1/28/16 at approximately 1843 hours an officer responded to the Lady Luck Casino on the report of a found license plate. The license plate was placed in safe keeping.

On 1/29/16 An officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of someone taking a person’s vehicle without their permission. The vehicle was eventually located, there is suspect information.

On 1/29/16 An officer assisted the Jefferson County Sheriffs Office by stopping a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was a suspect in a menacing which had occurred on the highway.

On 1/29/16 at approximately 1939 hours, Officers were dispatched to the Lodge Casino on the report of a counterfeit $20 bill. Upon arrival, Officers took possession of the counterfeit bill to be sent to the Secret Service.

On 1/29/16 at approximately 2003 hours, Officers were dispatched to the Canyon Casino on the report of a counterfeit $10 bill. Officers took possession of the counterfeit bill and placed it in evidence.

On 1/30/16, An officer responded to the Lady Luck Casino (340 Main Street) on the report of a stolen coat and cell phone. Upon arrival the coat was recovered but the cell phone was still missing. A report was taken.

On 1/30/16, Officers were dispatched to the Ameristar parking garage, level 5, on the report of a disturbance between a male and female party. The parties left the scene in a vehicle before officers could speak with them. Case is under further investigation.

On 1/30/16, at approximately 1836 hours, an officer responded to a two car motor vehicle accident at the 6.5 mile marker of Highway 119. Upon investigation completion, one driver was issued summons.

On 1/30/16, an officer responded to the Ameristar Casino (111 Richman Street) for a disturbance. Upon investigation completion, two males were arrested and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 1/31/16 an officer responded to the Lady Luck Casino on the report of an intoxicated patron who struck a security officer before entering the Lady Luck garage. A search was conducted but officers were unable to locate the suspect. The identity of the suspect was obtained and a report was taken.

On 1/31/16 at approximately 0213 hours, Officers responded to 444 Main Street (Monarch Casino) on a reported lost wallet. A report was taken regarding the incident.

On 1/31/16 at approximately 1013 hours, an officer responded to Highway 119 at mile marker 8.0 on a report of a vehicle accident.

On 1/31/16, Officers were advised of a male party with a tracking device, who was pinged in our city. The male party had an active felony warrant. He was later contacted and arrested at the Isle Casino and transported to the Gilpin County Jail.

On 1/31/16 at approximately 1734 hours, an officer was dispatched to the Ameristar Casino on the report of a physical disturbance. A male party was later taken into custody.

On 1/31/16 at approximately 1928 hours, Officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of found drugs. A suspect was identified and interviewed. The suspect was released to paraemedics and a warrant will be issued.

On 1/31/16, an officer took a theft report from the Wild Card Casino. A suspect was observed taking a coat and leaving the casino. The suspect has not been identified.

On 1/31/16 at approximately 2230 hours an officer and medics were dispatched to the Isle Casino on the report of a male party unconscious on the floor. Upon arrival CPR was performed and the ambulance transported the male to St. Anthony Hospital.
