On Wednesday May 21, a deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation, that occurred within unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado. The driver was arrested for DUID.
On May 20, deputy took a report of a violation of a protection order. An arrest warrant was signed and waiting to locate the suspect.
On Wednesday, May 21,  an adult male reported fraudulent transactions on his credit card.  The adult male believed this was caused by an email that he received from a business associate, where he clicked on a link and filled out a document.  It was discovered the email was a scam, and was not sent by his business associate.  As a result, the adult male`s personal information was stolen, which was used in the fraudulent transactions.
On May 21, at approximately 1710 hours, a deputy contacted the driver of a vehicle for speeding.  The driver was stopped on Highway 119, Mile Post 4.7.  He was later found to be driving with no insurance. He was issued a summons and his car was towed.
On Wednesday May 21, a Deputy took a report of a cold burglary that occurred within unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado. Case is still under investigation
On May 22, at approximately 2300 hours, a deputy stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Highway 72 near Mile Post 24. The driver was later taken into custody for investigation of driving under the influence of alcohol.
On May 23, a Deputy received alert tones of an assault in progress within unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado. A Suspect was located and arrested in this case.
On May 24, at approximately 1150 hours, it was determined an inmate had an active warrant from Denver Sheriff`s Office. The inmate was booked on the warrant without incident.
On Saturday, May 24, a Deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation within unincorporated Gilpin County, CO. The driver was arrested for DUI.

On May 26, a male party was assaulted. When Deputies arrived on scene, the suspect had already left. A report was completed and an arrest warrant was requested.
On May 30, at approximately 1905 hours, a Deputy took a report of suspicious activity on a residential property in mid-county.
On May 30, at approximately 0500 hours, a deputy conducted a welfare check on a parked vehicle at the Z-Stop Gas Station. The driver was arrested for numerous misdemeanor offenses including the investigation of Driving Under the Influence and booked into the county jail.
On May 31, at approximately 1930 hours, a deputy contacted the driver of a vehicle for traffic violations.  The vehicle was stopped on Highway 119 at Mile Post 16.3.  The driver was found to have a suspended license.  He was issued a summons and the vehicle was towed.
On June 2, a Deputy conducted a traffic stop. The driver was found to be driving on a canceled driver`s license. A summons and proof of service was issued.
On June 3, a Deputy contacted a male party for a welfare check while driving his vehicle. The driver was under the influence of alcohol and in possession of a weapon. The driver was arrested.
On June 4,  a lost passport was turned into the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office.

On June 5, at approximately 1105 hours, an inmate at the jail was discovered to have an active warrant out of the Denver Marshal`s Office. The inmate was booked on the warrant without incident.

On June 5, an inmate already in-custody in the Gilpin County Jail was found to have a warrant returnable to the Mountain View Municipal Courts. The party was processed into the Gilpin County Jail on the warrant.
On Saturday, June 7, at 0958 hours in the morning, a Gilpin County Deputy stopped a vehicle for traveling 58 MPH in a 40 MPH zone.  The vehicle was driven by an adult male.  The adult male exhibited signs of intoxication due to marijuana use.  The adult male stated he smokes marijuana thirty times a day.  The adult male was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail on the charges of DUID, speeding, and driving with an expired driver`s license.
