Ski team repeats first, second

Ski team repeats first, second.
Barbara Lawlor.
The Nederland Alpine Ski Team traveled to Keystone last Thursday, January 9 and did a repeat performance of the previous week’s meet. The girls came in first and the boys came in second. The previous week was a giant slalom and the Keystone meet was a slalom qualifier and those who placed in the scoring top three slots were different than the giant slalom meet.
The second place boys posted many fast times, proving their depth and talent. Those who qualified for state competition were Owen Foster, Jacob Scheiffler, Ian Hastings, Michael Carrannant, Ross Ellwoord, Eric Spangler and Matt Wood.
Of those who competed in the slalom, Hastings, Matt Wood and Christian Wood are skimeister competitors.
