In the first week of the year, the Gilpin Eagle girls won two away games in three days. They are clicking as a team and are reaching their individual peaks, preparing for the second half of the season.
On Tuesday, January 7, the Eagles traveled to Alexander Dawson where they dropped the Mustangs, 49-29, dominating the game from the beginning.
Senior Elinor Einarsdottir led the scoring with 20 points and senior Andromeda Ramsey came up with15 points and her 15 rebounds gave her a double double to celebrate.

On Tuesday, January 9, the Eagles made the journey to North Park where they once again dominated the game and won 40-21.
Delainey Lepro was the high scorer with 13 points.

Thursday’s win gives the Eagles a 6-2 record and a sixth in state ranking. The next home game is on Thursday, January 16, against Sheridan, with JV beginning at 5:30 p.m.
